The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful if they tried. The service was always cheerful, they accommodated the endless special requests you have when travelling with kids like different meal combinations, they gave us lifts to shops on the island to get supplies, and always stopped to talk to our 2 year old which is a nice gesture. The food was really good quality, varied and not overpriced like it can be in resorts. The restaurant has a great view of the water and is a lovely place to sit and enjoy happy hour or food. The swimming pool was great and really clean, and some apartments have mini plunge pools on the roof and that was such a great spot to sit and watch the view. Everything was very clean and apartments cleaned daily.

The only slight downside is that the resort is on the quiet side of the island - mostly this is good but if you don’t have own transport (motorbike, car etc) it’s a bit of a faff to get around to the shops on other side. However we were lucky and got lifts from staff all/ part of the way several times which made it much easier.

We had a lovely stay at the Serenity Resort. It’s a small and cosy place in the Northern part of the island. Our bungalow was comfortable and had everything we needed. There was a beautiful terrace at sea where you could have breakfast/lunch/dinner. The pool area was great too. You’ll be far away from the busy parts of Koh Chang, so if you want to explore or go to restaurants you’ll definitely need a motorbike as there is not much around.

We didn’t expect it to be that far off from everything else. On the one hand it was nice to be away from all the busyness but on the other we were on the motorbike quite long (+30min) to get to popular places.

This resort is very tranquil, beautifully landscaped and made really great by the staff’s friendliness and helpfulness. I also have to mention their kitchen - every dish was delicious and authentic regardless of whether Thai or Western, so there was no need to go out searching for outside restaurants. Free use of kayaks and paddle boards a welcome bonus. The resort bungalows are very comfortable and well kitted out. The staff can arrange bike or car hire, boat trips, snorkelling trips etc. great base to explore the island.

Nothing to complain about.

Serenity Resort is a beautiful, cozy and calm resort. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. We didn't book a seaview bungalow, but still had a nice view to the sea. All the bungalows are great, so it doesn't really matter which one you end up to. The bungalow was very clean and looks even better than in the pictures. You have a lot of different options to eat in the resort restaurant (even vegetarian options which is a plus) and the food is very affordable. Kayaks and sup boards are free of charge. The restaurant closes early so evenings are peacefull and there isn't any noice during nights.

If you prefer to stay close to the town or want to party, keep in mind that this place is located on the other side of the island and there isn't a lot of services. However if you rent a scooter and enjoy a peaceful resort like we did, this is a great choice!

This place is really pretty. The rooms are like mini villas. Staff are really friendly too. It’s right on the shore, not a beach as such but the water is there 👌🏽

It’s nowhere near anything else, but it’s close to the ferry port 👌🏽. For me, the base price, around £60 a night, is pretty top scale for Koh Chang, and needs to include breakfast. I stayed in a different place on Koh Chang too, perfect location, £20 a night with the most amazing breakfast included! I think maybe the staff bill is too high, cos there’s loads! 🤷🏻‍♀️

- the service is excellent, whatever you ask, they arrange it with a smile - the apartment was specious and with a plunge pool on top and shade and sun areas, the showers were warm the aircon worked fine, and, it was very comfortable - the restaurant has a decent offering and seating as well as lounge areas - the location is right at the beach, they offer free canoes and sup boards that you can use

- here (and also in other Koh Chang resorts) they use a lot of chlorine with the result that we did not enjoy the pool and plunge pool that much - the amber sand beach is very pleasant, but the sea has cobblestones and is shallow for a long time, for which swimming is ok but not as perfect as hoped for. We rented motorbikes and went to white sand beach for a better beach experience (while enjoying our stay at Serenity)

Located on the quiet side of the island, the beach is a couple of steps away from the pool, restaurant, and rooms. The hotel provides kayaks, paddle boards, and snorkelling gear for the use of the guests. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the thai food was delicious and the drinks were reasonably priced as was the food. We had the pool villa with sea view, which also comes with a plunge pool on the roof and seating for umpteen people. Rooms were comfortable and sufficiently clean and tidy with comfortable beds. Some may see the beach as a bit strange due to it not being totally sandy and white. On this side of the island, the beaches are quite rocky, and the sand is a brownish colour. On the other side of the island they have white sandy beaches, there are also lots of bars, shops and restaurants and a lot more people.

Wonderful situation, far enough from the noisy bustle of the town. Serene and tranquil bay, perfect for a bit of canoeing. The food was really delicious, and we enjoyed the happy hour cocktails. Our villa was situated right on the beach between the pool and the restaurant, but remained quiet and peaceful.

Not a thing. As others have mentioned, the sand is not the soft white sand of the other side, but that's the price you pay for a bit of peace and quiet. Didn't bother us in the slightest.

Nice serene location. very close to the ferry terminal. Need a bike or car if one intends to goto the market etc.

Nice chill vibe away from the crowds. Very quiet. The women in the kitchen deserve an award!! I’ve spent over a year in Thailand and I rate their Thai cooking number 1!! So good! The staff were super friendly and helpful. Room (bungalow) was perfect with a nice outside sitting area. Nice pool. Highly recommend!

The beach is minimal. We rented a motorcycle and found an awesome beach to the south (Long Beach) so it didn’t really mater.
