What a superb location, the cabins are rustic, I got one without air-conditioning, by choice, the fans are great and kept me cool. The cabins are basic, gaps in the boards and walls, but they are fully water tight. They do let in little gecko type lizards who are happy to live alongside you. From the hammock, I regularly saw Hornbills, squirrels, and butterflies. The family who run this place are so lovely and friendly, always wishing you well. I had most meals in the restaurant, I did try other restaurants in the area, but they're not nearly as tasty and have good value as the restaurant on site. Good coffee, too! If you are looking for peace and quiet or a great place to base your island adventures from this is the one!!! It's not luxury but comfortable with all the basics done well. I felt safe and cared for without impinging my space. The cats are so sweet, too.

The humidity got allot some times, l but nothing that a cool shower and fan couldn't fix. The bay empties during low tide, so going for a swim was a bit of a trek, but so close enough at high tide.

The most incredible view! A lovely family run home stay. The hosts were incredibly helpful and kind, the food was very nice, home cooked and reasonably priced. We were looking for a slightly rustic Thai experience for our island getaway and this is exactly what we got. The beach is ok for a paddle, but If you get a taxi slightly further south there are 2 good beaches for swimming. We did a private 5 island boat trip (Hong island) booked through the bungalows and very good value-2300bhat plus national park fees . It was far nicer than the 4 island one we did from Krabi- mainly because we left early (8am) and there were far fewer tourists. We used taxis to get around rather than moped as we have children (and it was too hot to cycle). You do need to get around the island a bit to fully enjoy.

Great place! I had a very nice bungalow with an amazing view over the ocean. Everything was very well taken care of. I had a lovely bed, which you don't often experience in Thailand. Loved it that you have to walk over a small path in the forest/jungle to your bungalow. And yes, there are bugs because it’s in the middle of nature. But if you keep the doors and windows closed, it’s fine. You also have a front row seat when the squirrels visit your balcony, so it’s definitely worth it. The restaurant is one of the hotspots of the island with one of the most beautiful views. And very nice people who always welcome you warmly.

Wow, the view was absolutely breathtaking! The host was so friendly and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed. It was like being surrounded by nature’s sweet symphony. We enjoyed watching the hornbills in the tree outside and the geckos sometimes inside. The iced coffee at the restaurant was delicious.

The beds were a little hard. It is quite a steep hill to get from the beach to the room, but it is worth it to wake up to that view. It was difficult to get the sliding door to the balcony to close completely.

They are extremely kind and helpful. I've been there only one night but I wish I could stay there another week. The view from the restaurant and my hat were spectacular. I woke up early to see the sunrise The color of the sky changed gradually with amazing nature. Happy to be there even one night.

It's in nature so I don't want to complain about this but just share what happened to me. I had a sudden visit from a wild rat when I was in the bathroom. So the wet rat try to escape around bathroom from my screaming and the room is very slippery so it couldn't get away from here. Eventually he found the way out. It was unpleasant but we were in the nature so it could be happened. Still I want to stay their place again!

Everything! This place is amazing. The perfect island getaway. The view from the bungalow and restaurant is breathtaking. The food is delicious. I don’t have enough words to describe the friendliness of the owners and staff. They are simply the best! They gave a New Year’s Eve party for their family and the guests. We felt so honoured to be invited. They have kayaks and scooters for rent so you can explore the beautiful island. They can also arrange tours to other islands. We were sad to leave this wonderful place.

The most amazing people so helpful, and most beautiful view Ive ever expirienced, anywhere in the world with sunsets to die for. Lots of wildlife in the forest around you, watching hornbills from oir veranda. The small resteraunt was one, if not the best on the island we visited. We hired mopeds which were a great price and good quality. Internet connection was stable and quick. Perfect stay in paradise.

We loved everything, but you are close to nature. The odd insect will find its way into your room and occasionally there are Monkeys close to the tree houses (we didnt see them).

The view from the bungalows is magnificent, especially at sunrise. The staff are super friendly and helpful and they can rent you a scooter or bicycle for getting around the island. The bungalow was beautiful, comfortable, spacious and super clean. There are some very friendly and cute cats that hang out in the property. There’s many options for breakfast. I saw many hornbills flying around from the bungalows and the restaurant. It was a great place to stay and I would very happily come back.

Wonderful setting, fabulous hosts and a view to dream about! Great location. Scooters can be hired on sight. Water available to refill your bottles. Great communication and help with onward travel tickets. Delicious food in the cafe with a lovely deck. Make the effort to find long beach at the right tide....just gorgeous!

The wonderful jungle setting in nature came with lots of bugs, but the staff provided repellant and the bungalows had mosquito nets. The sea can only be swam in at certain tides. This island is special.

I had a wonderful stay here at Tha Khao Bay. It is very beautiful and I felt incredibly safe and relaxed here. You are nestled in the jungle and then there is a beach in front you can swim in when the tide is high and other beaches on the island. Everything I needed was organised for me and Mr Linh and his family were all so friendly and kind. The island is so peaceful and there is plenty to explore and do. I loved my stay here and it was incredibly good value. Such an amazing place! They also had a proper coffee machine :) I was a little warm at night in the fan room as it was hot season but I did expect this and it was reflected in the good value and meant it was so peaceful in the resort.
