Thai Jessica gave me the worst advice I’ve had in my life. She sent me on a 20 minute walk to a restaurant that shut down 3 weeks ago. Also asked me to pay for my prepaid booking, also gave us a of room keys that didn’t work. Being truly honest she did everything wrong. Oh and then we all queued up to pay for the pub crawl and she just ignored us until I got one of the other reps to come over.

- Great location, not too noisy and only a 10/15 minute walk to Bang La road (where the party is) - You can book tours and transport with them -Very friendly,helpful and fun staff - When having an issue the staff fixed it straight away - The pool -Good food and drinks for reasonable price - Great music -Great events -Social hostel - very comfy beds, nice room and big lockers. -Balcony which had a table and chairs so you can sit but also hang wet clothing -Very close to Patong beach which has activities - Lots of places close by which you can book tours with - Nice and quiet hostel - There’s a Gym !! - There is a rooftop - There were book swaps -The A/C can be turned on at any time -The bathroom is nice and spacious - I was able to leave my luggage there after checkin out - Opposite is Hippie house which is excellent for tasty and cheaper food in patong !

- When I arrived the bathroom area/sink area was dirty and there was rubbish left from the previous people,so I cleaned it. -The pressure of the shower was not good originally. However, it did get fixed while I was there !

The staff were fantastic!!! Good energy/vibes, and everyone had their unique character, which made interactions more engaging. Big shout out to Botan, Tui, Pin, Bon, and Nan. Very helpful and full of jokes, at the same time. If you want to laugh, try hangout with them over a tower of beer on the big table. Thank me later. Check out the inhouse games and events. On site food and drink prices also reasonable compared.

The shower in my room was cold, but was fixed after mentioning it to reception after a second visit.

It was clean, the beds were comfortable, the aircon was perfect the bar and the facilities were good, and the pool was nice and clean. It has a really good location, they have plenty of activities, You can meet good people from everywhere, . If you travel solo this is the place to stay....

At night it is a little bit noisy cuz the bar that is in front of the hostel. You have to pay a 500THB or leave your passport as a " deposit ". Once you return the towel and the key you will get your deposit back. 1 or 2 guys from the staff were rude..........but maybe it is part of been thai.

I'm never disappointed when staying in a mad monkey I find them to be modern with everything you could need as a backpacker, the rooms and lockers were big, the air con was great they let guest control it themselves (some hostels tend to put it on at a certain time and leave it which I don't like) the pool area is nice a bit on the smaller side and shaded in the afternoon by the building, not a negative just something to note if you are working on your tan but that being said there is a roof top where you can also hangout ! The staff did a great job as usual it getting guest involved and having a good time. I love mad monkey hostels as a solo traveller when ever I am staying in an area that has one I will always choose to stay there.

Nothing about the hostel I would 100% stay here again if I was staying in Patong. One note is I arrived late and was slightly worried as I had messages a few times about late check in via booking.com as it stated on here check in was until 11.00pm and I never had a response BUT I reached out to the mad monkey website and they assured me that they have staff on 24/7 and that they would inform the staff of my late arrival so it was no issue at all.

I normally avoid staying at hostels as I am a solo traveller and very particular about cleanliness, however in my past solo travels realised there is no social connect. This time also I had booked a hotel then cancelled and decided to stay at Mad monkey hostel and don't regret it a bit. The rooms are just used for sleeping, washroom are clean and good air conditioning. What makes MAD Monkey different from the rest is the lively atmosphere and the hosts who are always welcoming and interacting with a smile. Special shout out to Lotty & Tom for making my stay comfortable at Phuket.

Everything was fine

I stayed at Mad Monkey for 6 nights, and the experience was fantastic. The hostel had a great environment, and the guests were friendly and pleasant, adding to the overall experience.

I did face a few issues during my stay. The Wi-Fi in my room wasn't working, and there was no water available in the room, so I had to go to the reception to refill my bottle. Additionally, there was a lot of noise (Music) in the lobby, making it difficult to work there or in the pool area.

Mad Monkey was amazing. Especially the Dj who plays at evenings. Music was burning and we were able to have fun with the music even standing in balcony. We kept sitting in the balcony for hours just to shazaming the sounds the dj played. Clean, warm welcoming place and very good location. There is a bar next to this hotel that always plays amazing 80s 70s rock hits. And it was also possible to listen the bar’s song from our balcony.

Air conditioning was bad. It was blowing directly to face while we are lying in the bed.

All of it? I guess yeah . The staff is friendly and welcoming, everyone s trying to make you feel at home there's a downstairs bar, restaurant with breakfast dinner and everything in between, they got happy hours, a pool, rooftop gym and laundry service, if it weren't Patong, there wouldn't be a reason to head out. Rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable and bathroom was clean. Greatly recommend for 18-25 year olds looking for a social and amazing time on Phuket

The rooms were pretty clean and good. Even it was comforting. The vibe downstairs is just so good. Best for socialising. Close to main spots of patong so a good part. A special thanks to receptionist WonMai. She’s was so kind and best towards me. You’ll definitely make good friends and memories at this place. I would recommend this place to stay blindly
