I stayed in March. Loved the quiet location across the river from all the city noise. Feels calming to be right by the river. The room was homely, tastefully designed and comfortable and everything worked as it was supposed to. The staff and the owner were incredibly helpful and keen to make sure I was happy. Loved that I could use a bicycle to ride around and I used it to go to the local market. Such a fun experience. Breakfast was good. It's so much fun taking the boat to get across the river. The lovely owner even helped me the morning I checked out and came with me on the boat to help with my suitcase. Felt very happy there. Thank you for your welcome and care. If you like places that are unique then I'd recommend you stay here.

The entrance was not as expected which made me feel unsure at the beginning. I know improvements are being made but I would suggest a more orderly reception area might help.

The hotel is in a peaceful location at the river, but the city life is just a 5' ferry ride away (operating 24/7). The room was very nice, clean and comfortable and the staff super friendly. Also, the restaurant nearby serves delicious food. For me, it was the perfect stay in Bangkok - away from noisy, big streets, but still close to the center.

I live in Bangkok, but I wanted a "staycation" in the Bangkok area without distractions. So I stayed a week and it was great. I had a desk on a breezy balcony where I could do my reading and writing, and look out on the river and see the boats going up and down. At sunset I would go down to the pier and photograph the action. (I'm sure others would ride the free bikes on tours of the beautiful green island, but I didn't do that.) There is a fine Thai restaurant two steps down the pier. I don't eat breakfast, but the staff brought coffee to my room every morning. They also arranged for a lamp on the balcony so I could read and write at night. My stay was extremely relaxing, which is just what I wanted. All the usual amenities are fine: Aircon is fine, hot water is fine (with pressure), there is a fridge, mattress was fine, there are enough plugs, etc., etc.

The room was not large (which is why I marked down a little on value). It was big enough for one person, but I think two would have difficulty. Also, the desk on the balcony was slightly damaged. Finally, and this is typical of most Thai hotels, not just this one, it would be really nice to have a reading light by the bed with a switch. It's much more relaxing to read in bed without turning on the very bright overhead lights.

The Lilliput Riverside Bangkachao is a hidden gem that delivers an excellent blend of tranquility and accessibility. Tucked away in the lush embrace of nature, this hotel is perfectly situated on the river's edge. The sights and sounds of the gentle river currents, coupled with the rich greenery surrounding the property, provide a peaceful atmosphere that makes for an ideal escape from the city's noise and bustle. What sets this hotel apart is its proximity to Bangkok. Despite the hotel's natural setting, the vibrancy and excitement of the city are only a short ferry ride away. The small ferry boat that connects the hotel to the city adds an element of charm to the journey and is an experience in itself. The contrast between the serenity of the hotel and the energy of the city is truly unique. You can immerse yourself in the tranquility of nature during the day and then hop on a ferry to explore the vibrant city nightlife. In conclusion, the Lilliput Riverside Bangkachao is a perfect blend of natural beauty and urban convenience. It's an ideal choice for those seeking a peaceful retreat without compromising on access to city amenities.

The Thai breakfast was delicious and made to order from our amazing & gracious host, Khun Som. Her cousin runs the next door restaurant, which also served good Thai river fare. There's a 24hr. longtail boat to cross the Chao Praya, where taxis & motosais are waiting to take you to the nearest BTS or MRT station. The surrounding area has many kilometers of elevated sidewalks to explore through jungle, farms and small neighborhoods. It's amazing to be city center Bangkok and know you're a few steps away from actual rural Thailand.

Having to cross the river to get basic convenience store goods and snacks, which is probably a good thing!

Everything was great ! The room was as described, clean, quiet AC, with spaces to organise your belongings, same goes for the bathroom. Som, our host, was nothing but sweet, helpful and full of tips and ideas of things to do. She is also a wonderful cook and prepared incredibly good breakfasts (photo) and diner, really really worth it ! The room is located in Bangkok’s « green lung », right on the river and near the pier where you can grab a boat to the other side. They run 24/7, then you can hop on a moto taxi, a grab/taxi or bus and head to the city. We loved being able to visit Bangkok while staying in a much quieter area, with a village vibe surrounded by nature. It is pretty nice to eat diner on the river with the view on the city. We also used the bikes Som has for guests and went on several bike rides to the floating market, night market, park, cafés, etc. It’s pretty easy to bike around and you’ll discover a less known and touristy area of Bangkok. We would definitely go back !!

If you want to get away from the bustling life of Bangkok, this is the place to go! After a short boat ride, you will get to this lovely guesthouse with very friendly owners who speak good English. We were upgraded to a room with a small balcony with a very comfy bed.We booked the room, including breakfast, and the breakfast was very good! You will find a restaurant with good food next to the guesthouse. Be aware that they don't speak much English. You can use bikes for free from the shop next door. We visited both the lovely botanical garden and the huge "floating" market, which, in reality, is an indoor market. We highly recommend this guesthouse!

- really great host - nice local food, but you could also choose european breakfast for example - nice location with view on river/bangkok, also perfect to enjoy bangkachao. Bike available for free to wander around. Boat closeby to transfer to Bangkok - rooms were tiny but with all the amenities you need I will return in the future!

- Sound of boats in the evening needed some getting used too - Taxis dont like this part of Bangkok. - If you would come by car, parking and driving around will be challenging.

The location is awesome. It is Bangkok away from Bangkok. A countryside away from the hustle and bustle and a meet with local Thai. The host is super helpful. The room and the bathroom are spic and span. The view from the room is awesome. The rates are affordable. By Gods' Grace I found the right place. Booked for one night and continued there for a second.

If it rains, you have to spend a lot to reach there by road. Otherwise the ferry is always there.

Som is a great host. Very sweet, proactive, and considerate. Went out of the way to help out with even trivial things. Also, I found the location to be perfect. You are close to nature, eight by the river with great cycling routes and other activities, and as soon as you cross the river, you are in the city. I found it very convenient to explore places in Bangkok.
