Daungjai Residency Rawai is a wonderful place, located in a pleasant residential area. While the Google Maps Street View might not fully capture its charm, this residency offers a relaxing and soothing environment, perfect for those seeking tranquility. The staff are very nice, friendly, and cooperative, and there's a lovely pool to enjoy. For those looking for vibrant nightlife, this may not be the ideal spot, but if you appreciate a peaceful retreat, it's a great choice. Rawai Beach is within walking distance, and you can easily access a shore area across the East Coast Highway to witness beautiful sunrises. Plus, the internet connection is quite decent, with WiFi speeds around 10.5 Mbps for both uploads and downloads, making it easy to stay connected. They also have a small in-house bar/kitchen where you can enjoy refreshing beverages and breakfast. The friendly staff are very accommodating, allowing outside food and encouraging food deliveries via various apps, unlike some hotels that have restrictions. They truly want you to feel free and comfortable with your food preferences.

Clean, affordable and close to Sinbi Muay Thai and there are couple of nearby decent eateries. Staff in general were friendly and helpful.

Sound proofing was bad as I got woken up every night couple of times when other residents started closing/slamming doors. Could hear very loud flip flop hitting the floor as they walked or run door the stairs. Even the reception bell would sound really loud in the middle of night. A little dusty outside as next door and some nearby doing construction so clothes washed and hung outside at times could be seen with whitish dust specks. These unfortunately are external factors beyond the hotel management's control. Was there in July this year with a friend but we stayed at a bigger unit on level 2 and didn't had any of these issues which was why I returned to stay at the hotel.

Stayed here while training muay Thai at Sinbi gym. Only 5 mins stroll away and about a minute on a scooter. Seen some reviews saying about the place being unclean and the rooms needing to be refurbished. I can confirm that this is not the case now. The hotel has clearly been renovated recently and while I was there more updates were happening still. One thing that was updated during my stay was the mattresses in the apartment rooms. This made my stay so much more pleasant. Very expensive luxury mattresses in all the bigger rooms now and they really are comfy 👍 Also the hotel is constantly being kept clean. My room was clean on arrival, cleaned every single day including Sunday and the hotel was undergoing a deep clean while I was there too. If it had become dirty at some point as some reviews say it really isn't that way now. Cheap bike rental Nice pool Nice and quiet Tim the manager was always happy to help.

Nothing to not like really. Food options might have been nice. If the hotel ever gets a full restaurant it'll only make the place better. Plenty of places near by though

I spent two weeks here while training at Sinbi Muay Thai nearby. The location is great, in a quiet residential area and quite near by car or scooter to Nai Han beach, which is beautiful. The only thing I would say is to make sure you know what type of room you are booking, as it is not very clear on Booking.com. I initially booked a double room, thinking it would be quite spacious from the photos I saw on Booking.com, but it wasn't the room shown in the photos and it was a bit too small considering the length of time I was staying. Fortunately I was able to move to a bigger room after a few days, and this one had a kitchen and balcony and was much more spacious. This isn't the fault of Duangjai, but I saw another couple discussing the same problem at reception as they also thought they were getting one of the larger rooms with kitchen but had instead booked a smaller double room. So just make sure when booking that you are getting the right type of room.

Staff are all excellent, very friendly and helpfull. The owner is also a nice chap and happy to offer advice when he is around about the area. Especially Peach the main receptionist, and all the cleaning ladies were very friendly and mindful of our sleeping patterns as not to disturb us at all when we had a late night.

Honestly nothing to dislike, easily the best hotel I have stayed with in Phuket.

Everything was clean, the staff super friendly and helpful, great location for training at Sinbi Muay Thai but also easy to get around from. Extra marks given for be 2 beautiful cats who are very much in charge of the place.

The double rooms could do with a bit of maintenance and a refit but good value for money considering the price

The service was fantastic. Peach and her team were very helpful and really did their utter best to make my stay as good as possible. Moreover, if you have training at Sinbi Muay Thai, the location is ideal, my room was always fresh and clean at my return. In the main street you will find the best food (TANGMO’S restaurant) for a fair price.

There are some works going on, but the hotel excused itself for it.

Very friendly staff, daily cleaning, beds are very comfortable, located in a quiet street but close to shops, restaurants, convenient stores. All in all a very comfortable stay, I would come again!

Room overall was great. The AC worked very well and there was a good amount of space for myself. The daily cleaning was very good and the free water bottle that was provided was incredibly nice.

The bed had some lumps that were uncomfortable if you were on them.
