I recently stayed at The Palms Residence - SHA Extra Plus and would like to share my thoughts on the experience. Before arriving at The Palms, I spent some time at the NH Boat Lagoon Phuket Resort, which offered much more convenient access to local facilities and attractions. Unfortunately, The Palms Residence is situated farther from many amenities, leading to increased transportation costs. This distance limited my ability to explore additional tour activities, which I found a bit disappointing. A highlight of my stay was a nearby block containing several restaurants. My favorite was a charming Japanese eatery called Nozomi, where the food was excellent, and I thoroughly enjoyed every meal. I also visited Restaurant & Brewery BEERFEST for a change of scenery; it was a fantastic spot for socializing and having coffee, especially since the Japanese restaurant does not serve coffee. The two amazing waitresses, Fairy and Cha, were incredibly helpful despite their limited English skills. They did a great job suggesting food options at Nozomi. I also had the opportunity to take a small tour of the brewery, where they showed me their beer production room, which was quite interesting. Everyone was very friendly throughout my visit. Overall, while The Palms Residence has some drawbacks, such as its distance from attractions, it can still be a viable option for budget-conscious travelers who appreciate simplicity and have access to nice dining options nearby. Just be prepared for additional transportation costs if you plan on engaging in multiple outings during your stay.

In terms of accommodation, I felt it was worth the price. However, it's important to note that it is somewhat basic and not as impressive as depicted in the photos. If you're a young traveler looking for a budget-friendly option for a longer stay, this place might suit your needs. The atmosphere is casual and laid-back, primarily catering to those seeking practical and simple lodging.

The staff were really polite and respectful. No ego. They were very helpful all the time. Roof pool was very nice and refreshing. It needed a few tiles refitted but other than that, clean and very nice. Service was great. Laundry service was prompt. Done by Managers wife. Very hard worker. Manager was excellent. Would most definately go back there.

The only thing I could say is that the location was quite a way from the beaches which were on the other side of the phuket (30 minute taxi ride, 280 Baht) mind you it was still nice to be out of the hustle and bustle of Patong.

hotel well located in kathu. spacious room, same for the bathroom. No breakfast service. as usual nothing to complain about the reception. laundry service of the hotel tested. i didn't like: customers who don't respect other customers, room doors open and we chat in the hallway. i also didn't like these same customers who slam the room doors several times during the night. i had trouble closing the bay windows. our room overlooked the coca cola company, a little noise because they work at night. the extraction does not work in room 305 = unpleasant smell. the air conditioning works very well. wifi generally OK. very interesting price, i will come back provided that there is soundproofing (door frame joints in the room). moldy bathroom tile joints. cleaning done every day

Comfortable bed and bedding. Very friendly and helpful staff. Quiet location. Could use pool 24 hours.

Location nice and central for our requirements. Hotel good value and nice and comfy. Staff team were excellent very helpful , thoughtful and polite. The manager was really lovely, made sure we had all our requirements he was very helpful and friendly and made sure we had the most comfortable stay.

The place is close to Big C, Central Phuket, Lotus's, Home Pro. It means that you need only a short walk to buy or eat all you need. The cleaning service was excellent. The room was clean and tidy (no smells etc.). The bed linen was white and clean. The shower worked perfectly well. The manager and all staff are very polite, helpful and professional. The whole feeling is safe (let me note that this is really important!). The open space on the roof above is fantastic and has a great panoramic view. But is was not popular the time of low rainy season I stayed, and possibly therefore was not top priority of the keeping. I am very thankful to the hotel's management and staff, they are really very good!

I prefer completely quite spaces and for me it was noisy outside. Maybe if the room looked another side it did not have this.

The room was clean and quite big. It was quiet. The room had a balcony. It is located in quite green area. There are some gardens and even a small forest nearby ( be aware of snakes next to the forest)

Almost all cafes around open at 12 or later. Beds and pillows were like rocks, I have got a neckacke after sleeping ( i think they washed pillows in the washing mashing, so maybe it is possible to fix or it is not every room).

Shower pressure was a bit funny (too strong!) but otherwise we enjoyed our stay

The staff were really nice and accommodating. They had a microwave and coffee station downstairs and food vendors I could order from which they would deliver to my room.

Nothing much, the room was a bit basic but that’s about it.

No breakfast was included, but it would have been better if it had been included. Anyway, I loved this place. the staff were so helpful. The room was great. Lots of light and great shower

There was some damp on the wall and it was wet after some days staying there
