The property was clean and roomy with nice balcony. Staff were exceptional especially Bon who helped us with cases to our room, recommended eating places and even carried our bags out to the roadside to meet the taxi. A credit to the establishment.

Pool was a little small to do any serious swimming but a minor problem.

Everything.The rooms were very spacious, immaculately clean and well equipped.The beds and pillows very comfy. Beach only 10 min walk. We loved the restaurants that our host recommended-Nana and Spring Leaf.We eat every single day in Nana's-tried the whole menu and every single dish was amazing. Wish to single out the reception staff, especially Bon,who was the kindest and so well rounded person we met in Thailand and contributed for our stay to be so smooth and comfortable. Thank you so much for your hospitality and we hope to return in this wonderful hotel.

We travelled 4 weeks around Malaysia & Phuket, staying 5* to basic accommodation. Out of all the places we stayed, this was by far the cleanest room we stayed in- it was spotless. Whilst simply furnished, the modern room had everything we needed including full size fridge with small freezer compartment, plus a handy kitchen sink. We stayed in the ground floor room, with direct pool access. The pool, whilst not huge was big enough to cool off each day & have a swim plus had a section you could lie down in & have the jets on 👍🏻 Good WiFi. It is a small family run hotel & the young man who checked us in (Bon) & helped us throughout our stay was so caring, hardworking, helpful & a very humble man. Bon also spoke good English. Guest comfort & happiness is his priority. It is a 5/10 minute walk to the beach. Beach towels are provided by the hotel. Whilst breakfast is not included, there are plenty of places to eat in the vicinity and a handy supermarket just around the corner. We would love to return one day in the future, as really enjoyed our time here. Great value too 😀

Bed a little firm for us, but appreciate everyone is different with mattress comfort. No private car park, though you can park very close on the street. TV sound inaudible at times, as muffled sound from speaker but no big deal really.

A nice, small hotel with the essentials. We lived on the 3th floor, only stairs so know this if you book. The location was good. It’s hidden in the back of the main road. Close to the beach, a 10 min walk. You have to cross the main road, but it’s a crossroads with lights, so when one lane has green the other one has red. So you can cross the road in two rounds. “Bon” who worked/owned the hotel was really nice and helpful. He had printed a small map on a paper and gave us recommendations. We tried the Supparat restaurant that he recommended, and the food was great. I wish I didn’t get so full so fast. We asked if we could extend our stay with one night and Bon helped us with this. Overall it was nice stay and good to start our travels in Kamala, only 30-40 min away from the airport. Longer with traffic and it was when we arrived around 18:00 at the airport. Ignore the messy photos, I took them right before we had to check out. So it’s our mess. :)

Everything was really good at the hotel. The only “complaint” I have is that it is located near the main road. So you hear the traffic at night. A restaurant/bar Devils bar Kamala is located across the main road and they are open until 02:00 so you hear the music. But this isn’t the hotels fault. If you want to have close to some things, this is what you get.

Where do I start? This was such a wonderful experience that left me wanting to move to Kamala. Bon was our contact during our stay and he couldn’t have made our experience better. The hotel is located 10-15 mins by foot to the beach and surrounded by restaurants and shops. It is very clean, quiet and has a pool. I felt very at home. We enjoyed many wonderful days and nights in Kamala and Bon ensured we had a wonderful stay, he accommodated our every need and went above and beyond. His recommendations on where to eat, visit and enjoy the nightlife were brilliant. He arranged our trips, inclusive of ferries and minibus transfers. Above all he was just a lovely person and very genuine. This place is highly recommended and we will be returning next year.

Our stay at the Umbrella House was perfect. We felt immediately at home when we checked in with Mr. Bon. We were offered a welcome drink at the check in. Mr. Bon went the extra mile to help us with everything we need: he gave us a map where he marked his recommendations. We tried them and they were great. He even helped us finding a good place that rents scooters. At our last day, Mr. Bon helped us talk to the taxi driver and even waved us goodbye. We were so happy that we stayed at the Umbrella House and we can only highly recommend it to anybody. The price-value ratio is unbeatable.

Everything, stylish, spacious, modern, immaculate. Large bathroom with big walk in shower. Large fridge & useful sink/kitchen area for longer stays.Bed was comfortable & pillows were fabulous. Beach/pool towels provided. Stayed in the ground floor room with direct access to the pool, great for cooling off & not designed for lounging around. Beach c10/15 walk away. Mr Bon at reception was fantastic, giving advice on restaurants, taxis etc & helped us with domestic flight check in issue. Very genuine guy😀

Nothing - minor point though. maybe better signage on main rd to get to property. It is tucked in just off busy main rd & was a little tricky to find.

A sweet little hotel at the end of a quieter street of the main rush. Mr. Bon greets you with a smile and continues to help and give great advice throughout your stay. Comfortable bed and nice shower. You may hear the Main Street but it doesn’t affect the comfort. Lovely little pool and great restaurants in the area. Beach is a 10 minute walk. Many scooter rentals as well in the area. Excellent stay!

Awesome experience no complaints

The hotel was super clean and modern, with a really nice room. The shower was amazing ,good air-conditioning and Tv, comfortable bed , little kitchen area with a fridge and nice balcony.It had everything I needed.Only about 10 min walk to the beach ,situated just behind the main road next to different shops and bars ,7 eleven and markets. Host Mr Bon was fantastic ,tried to help with everything, and gave recommendations about places to eat and location for markets, etc I had a great stay.

Quiet and pleasant stay in Kamala. Spacious room with balcony, everything perfect! The icing on the cake is Bon, the Host of the house! Very caring, always there at your every move to assist you and make sure everything goes smoothly. All the advice he gave you, between tours, renting scooters, buying ferry tickets etc was all perfect. She also left us a package of delicious handmade cookies as a gift for the new year. Always at your disposal for any needs. Everything delightfully perfect and highly recommended
