Review: Excellent Family Vacation – Great Value for Money I’d like to start by saying that my rating is based on the balance between price and quality. We spent a wonderful family vacation at this hotel, and I’m writing a more detailed review in hopes that it helps others planning their holiday. 1. Staff: The entire hotel staff left a very strong positive impression. They were extremely friendly, helpful, and professional. Any requests or issues were handled very quickly. The only minor downside is that about 90% of the staff speaks only English, which could be a slight challenge for non-English speakers. 2. Hotel Interior: The interior of the hotel is beautiful, especially the ground floor, which is very cozy and comfortable to relax in at any time. Right next to it is a bar with professional bartenders where you can enjoy drinks in a great atmosphere. 3. Rooms: The rooms are clean, comfortable, and nicely furnished. Beds are made daily, towels are changed every day, and bed linen is changed upon request without any issues. 4. Outdoor Area / Beach / Pools: The outdoor space is breathtaking – pools, beach, and lounging areas are all exceptionally well-maintained and clean. Even though the hotel was fully booked, it never felt crowded. There were plenty of sunbeds available for everyone, and beach towels were always accessible. A small downside for some may be the presence of many cats (though personally, they didn’t bother me). 5. Animation and Entertainment: The animation team and daily programs were outstanding. Activities ran from 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM, and I still felt like I was missing something! The entertainment was excellent for both adults and children – truly something for everyone. 6. Bars and Drinks: There are plenty of bars offering a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, including cocktails. A minor downside was a few bartenders who lacked experience, but they made up for it with their kindness and attitude. 7.

The staff were always friendly and helpful. The food was excellent quality. I have, what some people say, a very fussy taste in food, but I always found nice things that suited me. I haven’t found that in every place I’ve been to. Of course, we were there in December/January, so not everything was open. The hotel was very open about that so we knew in advance. We still got to swim in the sea on Christmas Day though!

I Don’t think there was anything we didn’t like. It would have been nice to have some more outdoor eating options, but we knew that this wasn’t likely due to time of year. There were some nice chicken meals for a couple of days down by the beach and that was great. Wish it had been more days that’s all.

It was a good nice place was probably 10 years ago, as for now it's required immediate renovation and upgrade of all facilities, wear and tear are over, staff trying to keep it at good condition but it's not enough. And they are trying to safe money on food as was expected, food not as expected to be for 5star hotel, in general not bad but there is no an average quality, we could meet good and bad food and an average one. No complaints to the staff, they are the best assets of this place.

We enjoyed our stay as a family as everything was available whenever or whatever we needed at all times.

We didn't like the fact the rooms were not cleaned properly.. even the day we checked in the room was dusty it had hair on the floor .. was not cleaned as a 5 star hotel it was very disappointing to see..

this hotel is an amazing hotel from cleanliness to size.

my only criticism about the resort would be the lack of engagement from the entertainers & lack of activities. every resort I’ve been to the entertainers are everywhere all day by the pool, inside the lounge doing something for kids but here only in the night time mini disco which is only 30mins.

The rooms were lovely, very well appointed. The pools and outside areas were well maintained and even though the hotel was busy, it never felt crowded. The cafe and ice cream/waffle shop were a great addition. There was a separate dining room and pool for over 16s, which was a nice idea.

There was always a queue for the lifts. I appreciate this isn't something that can easily be fixed, but there was always a wait for a lift with enough space.

I would like the renovation to be more recent, the air conditioning didn’t work well for the first few days, but then they seemed to fix it! transfer from the hotel to the airport is twice as expensive as calling from the yellow button!

I spent 10 lovely days in Sherwood Exclusive Lara with my 9 months old baby and my mother. I rarely write reviews but this place is worth my time♡ Prior to the trip i was reading some reviews and was worried but now i can share honest true view. Everything was amazing: -Staff members were super friendly, reception speak several language including English (please be realistic- dont expect each member of staff to speak all languages! But at any given point in time you will have cover). Staff in the restaurant were so lovely-in particular Erol and Ibrahim- daily they welcomed us,helped with drinks,baby chair,tea etc. It was a real pleasure having food under their care♡ Most hotel staff do speak some English but again-if there is a barrier, do get your phones out and use google translate. It is fun! -Rooms are nice too-everything is in there. We were given also a free baby cot, we used iron in the room (pick up from reception). Food was also great-loads of choices from healthy to non healthy, international cuisine,Turkish cuisine was super tasty- i enjoyed a lot! There is FREE wifi INTERNET on the whole hotel grounds including beach-massive positive! Another amazing thing- on arrival we had complimentary fruits,sweets&wine in the room. And guest relations member Oykum whatsupped me on arrival and said to contact her if i needed anything. It was great and very useful since i did need help subsequently. Separate thanks to the animation team-Michael Jackson show was a real blast-LOVED IT! One advice from me- if anyone is using taxi (even when hotel calls for it!), please make sure that you use tariff figures in the car and not fixed rate (triple the true cost!). This is local taxis being naughty. If they insist on fixed rate then dont use them, take plate number and report them (via reception). This has nothing to do with the hotel. I dont normally return to the same hotel but this one is worth it so see you next year Sherwood :) ♡♡♡
