The room was spacious and offered a great view. Breakfast was good, but there wasn’t the variety there was at the Scandic in Voss. The water station is messy, water is splashed everywhere so one must be very careful not to slip on the wet floor. One day the coffee machine did not work at all.

The AC did not function as it should, if at all. The shower is not adequately shielded; Water always splashed underneath it and it isn’t long enough,

The breakfast was great! Enormous buffet with many choices, always fresh, staff extremely helpful and efficient. The room was very comfortable with 2 easy chairs facing the harbor view, and a writing desk. The hotel is within a short walking distance to the center.

No coffee/tea maker in the hotel room. Coffee and tea could be had in the lobby for a price. The lobby bar only offered drinks, not even peanuts! Some snacks would have been great, and tapas would have been fantastic. The restaurant was too pricey for us. Our initial room faced a wall, we asked for anothe room and got one with a great view. The receptionist was always very helpful throughout our stay. Parking is very pricey. Unfortunately, the beds were too soft and we were unable to open the window for fresh air.

I had a great stay! The room was clean and cozy, and the view from the window was absolutely amazing. The bed was so comfortable—I slept like a baby. Breakfast was delicious with a nice variety to choose from. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to others!

The food at the evening restaurant was also really good, though the waitress didn’t seem very friendly. She looked overworked, which might explain it, but it did affect the overall dining experience a bit.

Booked a ‘standard’ room and had a wow moment when we opened the door as there was a full wall picture window overlooking Ålesund and the harbour. The room itself was large and clean. Good choice of breakfast, you might want to eat a little later to ensure any coach parties have finished. There is a ‘pay for’ car park underneath the hotel. The hotel is directly in front of Mount Aksla viewpoint so a very short walk to take the 400 steps to the top!

No lift from underground car park to hotel, so you may wish to unload luggage outside reception first

Just a couple blocks from the ferry dock. Staff super friendly. Absolutely beautiful hotel and room, sparkling clean and quiet. We left early and they packed us a huge breakfast to go at no charge. It was the very best hotel we stayed at during our trip to Norway and wish we could have stayed longer there and in Alesund, such a charming town.

Nothing, this hotel totally exceeded our expectations!

The hotel is in a great location close to the waterfront (3 minutes walk). The room was a good size. There was plenty of choice for breakfast. I did not try the restaurant on the 9 floor with the views.

Everything was good with my stay with the exception that I was on a ground floor room next to a lift. Sadly the lift made banging noises when is use. Luckily this didn't happen at night or in the early morning so it didn't both me. But it might for other travellers.

The 8th floor corner suite had jaw-dropping views, almost as good as Akslå viewpoint. Amazing breakfast. Helpful and accommodating staff. Super comfy beds. Great location.

The bathroom ceiling doesn’t appear to be properly soundproofed and we could easily hear a family in another room. Other areas were fine. The water coming out of the bath faucet was quite yellow.

Great location, nice and central and airport bus picks up outside hotel. Breakfast selection was excellent. Rooms comfortable, clean and good size

We happened to arrive at the same time as an extremely large group and there were issues with the booking system. Took a few minutes but Maribel located our booking and got us sorted as quickly and professionally as she could.

The bathroom is more like a wet room which makes getting ready after a shower a little more difficult. There’s a gap in the double bed, I appreciate that’s the scandi way but for us brits one of us often nearly fell through. No problem, just an observation.

This was an amazing stay! We didn't have much time in the city so we needed a hotel close to the city center to be able to walk around and explore in the few hours that we had. At the same time we needed something close enough to the port and bus station where we needed to get the boat for the tour one day and catch the bus back to Oslo the next, all walking distance! Also, if you can, spend a little more for the higher level rooms, views are worth it!

There wasn't a thing we didn't like about our stay at this Scandic Parken. Everyone in the hotel was kind and made our experience there a great one!
