The location of this hotel was simply perfect! The beach access was right across the street from the hotel (we could see the ocean from our balcony). It was also in a quieter area of Waikiki while still being central and within walking distance of all the major attractions, shopping, and dining. Marriott never disappoints when it comes to amenities and rooms. Our room was on a high floor, with 2 balconies and a partial view of the ocean. I am a Marriott Bonvoy member so we were also upgraded to a deluxe king suite which offered a separate sitting area making the room even bigger and roomier. The hotel and rooms were very clean and modern, as expected from Marriott properties. A major bonus was beach chairs and towels were included as part of the resort fee. We could check out a set every day to take to the beach and return at the end of the day. There was also a Starbucks and a 24/7 convenience store located inside the hotel lobby, which made it a breeze to purchase coffee and supplies whenever needed.

The only drawback for us was really the pool facilities. The hotel had 2 outdoor pools. While it was great that one was adult-only (so no kids running and splashing around or yelling), the pool itself was a major disappointment in terms of size. I would have expected a much larger pool from a 4-star hotel. I have stayed at other Marriott resort hotels and similar hotels from other brand chains and they managed to at least provide a large pool (twice the size of this one). Because of its size, this one would get crowded very quickly even with only 8-10 people in it at a time. While we still had a great time staying here, we'll definitely try a different property next time as we always use the Pool when we stay at a hotel.

Room was good. Not exactly Ocean front as requested and stated on our booking confirmation, the next room around the side of the building. Location was good. Big surprise when we went to settle the account. We thought we had fully prepaid the room costs in advance through Booking.com. However, we were hit with a "Resort Fee of USD$50 per night plus a range of taxes. This was a shock and a rort really. Would be much happier paying for what we actually used!

Being told at check in that I had to pay a $300 incidental deposit. I didn't see that anywhere on the website during booking. Even though the funds are released upon checkout, I wasn't prepared for it.

the resort fee is too much per day. especially if you only used the pool once. you need to update your information on what is included in the resort fee. also need to update the cost of breakfast. the continental breakfast is $39 and the full breakfast is $48

I would stay here again as our stay was comfortable and we loved our room and the view. Our initial contact with the reception desk upon check in was very helpful as our room we had arranged was not ready and they were quick to accommodate us with a change. As Marriott members we requested a late check out which seemed a problem for the staff member we were dealing with. I am so sorry I didnt get her name. She wanted us to vacate our room and move somewhere else which didnt fit in with our plans for our last day and she was quite rude. I left the desk and rang the desk from our room and spoke to another member of staff requesting our late check out and nothing was a problem for them at all. Should have rung the desk in the first place but thought it would be better to speak face to face. It was not

The pillows were terrible. This was my only problem. Wish we had been given a choice of firm or soft.

Room was large and clean. Ocean view from balcony/lanai was wonderful. Staff was very helpful when we got locked out of the room. The battery of our door's card reader died and they fixed it immediately for us. Location was also great as it's right across the street from the beach.

Pool is quite crowded most of the times. Elevators can also be slow during busy times. Not much privacy on the balcony/lanai and you can basically see everyone else's balcony.

Wonderful location. They had chairs you could take to the beach. Nice hot tub generally good service.

For the price, we did not think they offered enough of a luxury experience. The pool was too cool for Winter, and was small with no view. The kid’s pool had a better view. They should switch the locations. The check-in was really slow, exceedingly so. It was excessive.
