I lived at the hotel for four-plus months. Comfortable. A bargain for the price. In the heart of Kyiv. Daily cleaning, of the kitchenette and elsewhere, a real plus. Yaroslaviv Val is one of the coolest streets/nieghborhoods in Kyiv -- restaurants, cafes, historical buildings, metro accessible.

Wifi was mediocre. Staff often preferred to say 'no' rather than answer your questions. Some of the male reception staff actually smelled bad. Difficult to work at the desk provided, given the unreliable wifi.

I've stayed at the Golden Gate Inn several times, and always found it to be a very comfortable hotel. Its location in the central Golden gate area is very convenient. That the hotel maintains those standards in the circumstances of war is remarkable. I was warm and comfortable throughout my stay.

From the last afternoon of my stay until my departure the next morning, Kyiv was without water due to Russian missile strikes. While there was nothing the hotel could have done about that, they could have prepared better for such a situation, by having a a sufficient supply of containers of water for basic washing and flushing of toilets.

I have stayed many times at this hotel, and am always satisfied. It's a simple, but comfortable hotel, in an excellent central location, with friendly, helpful staff. It is especially impressive that they maintain their standards despite the difficult wartime circumstances.

Good location, easy to find, and there are many restaurants nearby. 15 minutes from Khreshchatyk. The room had everything needed including slippers, hairdryer, cups, plates, electric kettle and microwave. The room was clean.

Both receptionists were very unfriendly. No one explained to us where shelter was in case of an air raid. The TV didn't work. We could really hear the neighbors upstairs, literally every step

The place is amazing and very safe. Located right in the center of Kyiv. My room had a kitchinette with a fridge. The hotel has a basement where you can shelter if needed. It was very comfortable and I felt very safe.

A simple, good-value, comfortable hotel in an excellent location in central Kyiv, with helpful staff. Always so impressed how this hotel maintains its standards during these difficult wartime conditions.
