The Brown Trout is 5⭐️ in every respect. The warmth of the welcome from staff to the warmth of the open fires in every reception room was just what we needed in this cold spell. The spacious accommodation is beautifully and thoughtfully presented in every detail . Good was good with a menu to suit every taste. Would strongly recommend The Brown Trout and next time will book for longer to enjoy the walks round the Golf course.

Very hard to cool the room down on a day when the temperature reached 23 degrees, admittedly unusual for Northern Ireland in September. We had to leave the fan on in the bathroom, not very green!

I booked one night B & B for myself, husband and our wee dog. We were greeted at reception and the staff made us feel welcome throughout our stay. Our room was very spacious with 2 double beds, recently refurbished and absolutely spotless. Food was excellent, nothing was too much trouble for the staff, I’m coeliac and they had no problem meeting my dietary requirements. The dog friendly rooms are in a secure courtyard and the grounds are lovely. Our dog got several walks, and it was great to warm ourselves by the log fires afterwards while enjoying a couple of drinks. We were able to have our dog with us throughout the visit. We will definitely be back and thoroughly recommend. Thank you to Jayne and all the staff for such a relaxing trip.

Flexible breakfast up until noon with 11.00 checkout. Gentleman on reception very friendly. Spacious room. Bed comfortable. Food fine

Due to the popularity of the location, tables for two can be cramped and/or limited privacy. WiFi variable. Roofed walkway to the Courtyard Rooms but otherwise exposed to the elements. Menu limited.

Breakfast was great and was delicious. The dinners were also very good. Both the hotel staff and the restaurant staff are excellent. This is a family run hotel and restaurant and everything is done very well. The rooms are also very nice. This was our fourth or fifth time there and we always enjoy it, even though it is somewhat remote for us.

Staff - Amazing! So efficient and attentive! You really get the local, family run buzz from them all. Location - Perfect! Set out in the country, but close enough to a number of towns. Room - Warm and cosy! Clean comfortable rooms with large space and large bathroom. Food - Good variety on the menu for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

It beautiful relaxing place staff where wonderful and very helpful they work very hard the rooms where spotless and gleaming the cleaning staff do wonderful job nothing was to much trouble for girls and meals where lovely breakfast great no queuing for it all served to you thank you so much we will be back

Amazing welcome by Jane! Nothing was any trouble. Staff worked as a team and great friendship shown to each other. Facilities were so cosy, clean and art work and decor v interesting. Pets v welcome and lots of areas for us to eat and socialise. Resident relaxing room so nice. Food was delicious, hot plates and nice serving size.

Rooms were very spacious and clean, lots of hanging and shelf space. Bathrooms were excellent with both separate bath and shower and toiletries. Food was exceptional and the open fires and log burners created a really cosy atmosphere. Residents lounge was bright and spacious

Nice location. Spacious room with a spacious bathroom. Clean compfy beds. Nice restaurant and bar. Good food. Wonderful surroundings - particularly for dogs. Everything clean and well-kept.

The double-beds could be a little bigger.
