Room was roomy enough for our bags, Owner took care of us when the room next door had a plumbing issue. Happened in the morning and she still managed to make our breakfast. Srawberries in June seemed to be fresh from the garden and breakfast was qute good.
I am 6'3" and just wish the bed was a tad bigger. We ended up switching rooms due to a plumbing issue in thw adjacent room and the room we ended up in had a larger bed and no footboard. Not certain what I booked exactly, but worth requesting the larger room if possible if you are tall. The driveway is tricky to navigate being on an inside curve.

This is an excellent, comfortable and homely guest house in the village of Purston Jaglin between the historic town of Pontefract and the picturesque and ancient village of Ackworth. It is situated opposite Purston Park and has off-street parking and immaculately tended gardens. Ewa, the host, is (like most Yorkshire people) extremely friendly and attentive to any requirements you have. She also provides a first class full-English breakfast included in the price. The rooms are finished to extremely high standard and wonderfully furnished - the bed was extremely comfortable too. Very highly recommended (as is Park View Fisheries that is a thirty second walk up the road!)
There wasn't anything to dislike.

We had a wonderful 2-night stay at this beautiful guesthouse. From the moment we arrived, the owner made us feel so welcome – nothing was too much trouble. Our ensuite room was spotlessly clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Each morning started perfectly with a freshly cooked breakfast, made to order and absolutely delicious. The house is charming and immaculately kept. It’s clear that a lot of care and attention goes into every detail. Looking forward to returning.

A very friendly welcome awaits you when entering . Even walking up the path to see a delightful colourful garden with abundance of flowers was beautiful. The beautiful building and decor inside is to it's highest Standard ,tastefully done, everywhere so clean . We was asked if we needed anything and was made to feel at home . The breakfast was great from cereal to cooked breakfast and asked what we would like . We will definitely be returning guests .
There wasn't anything .

I tell you what! Amazing! Couldn’t fault, not really any constructive criticism other than possible too cheap. Check experience was second to none, made me feel at ease, couldn’t do enough for me. Not really used to guesthouse/bnb but I was put at ease immediately and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Breakfast cooked to order, filtered coffee, best fresh orange think I’ve ever tasted and the best bits of a full English on request. Honestly, for a business trip you cannot fault this guesthouse

On arrival at the property, we were delighted to see the beautiful garden and our first impression of a beautiful house. We were greeted warmly by our host, Ewa. The house and our room were perfect for our needs. Both mornings, Ewa made excellent full cooked breakfasts that we thoroughly enjoyed. Nothing was too much trouble. We recommend this B&B to all and would be happy to return.
We loved everything about our stay. Nothing to add.

Fantastic little B&B run by an amazing, friendly lady. Really comfortable bedrooms with fantastic quality bedding and one of the best breakfasts I have had at a B&B in a long time.
Rooms were just a little on the cool side but then we did stay there during one of the coldest weeks of the year! Parking was a bit restricted but they were working on that while we were there so should not be an issue going forward.

As a business traveller I generally use corporate hotels. I decided to have a change and book somewhere more intermit. I am glad I did! It was great to be actually looked after and receive proper customer service that sometimes is missed in the larger companies. I had a 2 night stay and Mrs Hunt was an excellent host. Nothing was to much trouble including local food recommendations for an evening meal. Breakfast was excellent with high quality sausages and piping hot. I did request an earlier breakfast time and this was accommodated with no issues.
I arrived in the dark and it was difficult to see the carpark sign when peering at the houses.

We had a very relaxing stay at the Glencoe Villa Guesthouse. Ewa made us feel very welcome. The room was very comfortable. Great breakfast - sausage, egg, bacon, hash browns, beans, toast, cereal, tea etc. Very homely and traditional overall. While Featherstone overall seemed a bit of a mixed bag, the guesthouse was located in a pleasant part of it - there's a big tree-lined park (featuring a pond) just across the road that was ideal for a morning stroll after breakfast. And a bar and chippie up the road - out of the front gate, turn left, about a minute's walk. Would definitely stay here again if I'm in the area.
Can't think of anything I didn't like.
