Location, character, bar, staff, breakfast and a variety of different guests.

We stayed in the cheaper twin rooms (I think they are called budget). The rooms are fine but their location in the building isn’t the best compared to the other rooms. The woman banging on her room shouting for her mother (the person doing the banging was an adult) was more than a little annoying but luckily either decided that the mother wasn’t there or was pissed and gave up after ten minutes. We knew we were in one of these rooms when we booked but they are best avoided if you have a choice. We don’t visit to watch telly but they are amusingly located in these rooms and rather small. Not much of an issue but something larger and not on the ceiling would be more useful.

The minute we turned into the long driveway and saw the Property we were very impressed. We were greeted by Laveena and she went way beyond expectations to ensure our stay was memorable. Her advice and input were invaluable. The room with ensuite was very comfortable and provided us with all we needed. Well situated and close to shops and the local Weatherspoon pub was well utilised. Breakfast was fantastic and the ability to read and enjoy a capucchino/hot chocolate at anytime in the front room overlooking the garden was an added treat. We were very happy to spend 3 nights here and we got to see plenty of the local area

Everything here is as it always has been. Very pleasant staff, exceptionally clean and functional rooms, with large bathrooms, soft towels, and comfy beds. The availability of tea and coffee making facilities, along with iron and ironing board in the communal kitchenette is a bonus, as well as tea and coffee in the lounge at any time. Very peaceful surroundings, quiet rooms, and plentiful free parking are a bonus for Leeds, and not too far away from attractions and the city. The breakfast is superb, with plenty of food, fruit, cereal, juice, toast all on offer at the buffet, and the staff are welcoming and efficient. All in all, I hve always enjoyed staying here, and hope to contiue that for as long as I can.

Everything is as it should be, with nothing to want for.

There is plenty of hot water from the moment you open the tap. There's a small room down the corridor, which has all the drinks, sachets, and hot water. The shower is brilliant controlled by a thermostatic valve, which looks like a mini R2D2. The dining room is light and airy, and it's a help yourself breakfast. Eggs I thought were a bit runny, but that's my fault for not asking if they could be done more.

The place is basic and comfortable. It's not in the League of Travel Lodge or Premier Inn domain. But it's OK. Beautiful surroundings, run by nice people. So I guess it swings and roundabouts, really. Would I stay again .. yes!

The no-frills twin room was fine and the beds were comfortable. Lovely receptionist on the night we arrived - she was warm and friendly and made us feel very welcome. We LOVED that a big Wetherspoons was only 4 minutes' walk away - literally just down the drive and 20 yards to the left - this was important for us as we were on a tight budget on this visit, and it was great to have free parking too. Beautiful gardens.

The breakfast was nice - or would have been at 7.30am - but by the time we got there at 8.30 it was a bit cold and dry. The eco shower meant that the water pressure was a bit less than ideal. The TV was very small - A5 maybe.

The staff were professional, knowledgeable and very helpful. The greeting was delightful and every member of staff with whom we had an interaction was outstanding and welcoming. I dropped my wallet in the main coffee lounge and after several attempts at contacting me, one of the staff knocked on our door in the evening and gave it to me! I was astonished and when I offered to show my appreciation by offering a reward he was very embarrassed abd refused any kind of reward. Outstanding honesty and customer care. I very strongly recommend this establishment as it is run by genuine people who care about their guests. Breakfast was excellent and overall, the stay represented outstanding value for money.

Nothing stands out as at this proce it is unbeatable.

Staff at reception were not only very welcoming, exceedingly helpful in helping to plan our evening out in Leeds. Hinsley Hall has an interesting history and some wonderful architectural features together with modern, perhaps slightly austere accommodation. Our brief stay was very comfortable, parking on site is plentiful and the breakfast excellent. Would highly recommend for an atmospheric stay that offers good value for money and staff that clearly value the heritage of the building.

The single beds could be a little more comfortable, perhaps a mattress solution as an easy fix?

Very clean and convenient accommodation. So you know, it's a conference centre for the Catholic diocese of Leeds, so the rooms are functional, like student halls, and there is religious iconography on the ground floor, but that's fine by me. Very quiet, and convenient for Headingley. The breakfast was great, served canteen style in a lovely light dining room. There is a cosy bar and a lounge, with free tea, coffee and hot chocolate at any time. There are also kitchenettes on the corridors, with a tea machine and an iron. There are lovely grounds with a historic feel. If you want luxury, it's not the place for that, but it is reasonably priced and good for what you get. It's mainly used for conferences and business meetings - there was an NHS conference when I was there.

all good so nothing

Inexpensive accomodation, no frills but spotlessly clean, comfortable and well-maintained. Convenient location for Headingley and the University district, easy to reach Leeds City Centre. Hinsley Hall is an oasis of calm, set in an extraordinary, gothic-looking, 19th century former college within lovely grounds. There is free parking available in the grounds. A plentiful buffet breakfast is included to set you up for the day. While there are no tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms, each floor has a kitchenette where you can make hot drinks and there is also a hot drinks machine and daily newspapers in the lounge on the ground floor. This was my second stay and I have booked again for my next trip to Leeds.

No complaints, exactly as described and met my requirements.

My husband and I were attending an event at First direct arena and accommodation in Leeds city centre was extremely expensive. Hinsley Hall was very well priced and included breakfast and free parking. We just booked the basic double room and it was comfortable, clean and perfectly good for our stay. The breakfast was plentiful and very good - Fully cooked breakfast available as well as cereal, fruit juice, yogurt, fruit, toast and jam, tea and coffee. There is also a guest area where you can use the coffee/tea/hot chocolate machine at no extra cost. A taxi ride into Leeds centre takes about 5-10 mins and is not expensive. There is a bus stop a couple of minutes walk away so getting into the centre is perfectly easy. We will certainly stay here again should we need Leeds accommodation
