Confortable beds, spacious room, well equipped gym, nice lobby bar.

The very strong smell of the air freshener in the lobby was very overpowering and off-putting. The breakfast was ok, but not fantastic. Difficulty getting an invoice from reception at checkout. The reception person did not want to give me one, claiming that since I booked via booking.com I should just get it from booking.com. But that is not how it is done. Booking.com does not provide invoices for hotel stays. Invoices are managed directly by the accommodation provider, not Booking.com. When booking through Booking.com, the reservation is a direct agreement between the guest and the hotel, making the hotel responsible for issuing the invoice.

Lovely scent as you walk in. Everywhere is clean. The room we stayed in was perfect for us. A few more coffee sachets would have been a bonus. The breakfast buffet was modest, everything you would expect for the English breakfast, a few additional pastries, cheeses, and cereal were also available. The spa was lovely, it was smaller then expected but it wasn't busy so we were able to enjoy all aspects without feeling sardined. Would definitely stay again.

A few more coffee sachets would have helped us. There was plenty of decaf but little regular. More sugar also. We took sugar sachets from the breakfast only to find the cleaner had removed them. Barely a criticism

The staff were all exceptionally friendly. Check in was fast friendly and efficient. The bedding and towels were good quality and spotless. Room was very clean. Excellent breakfast. We had two rooms one for the two of us and the other for our son, daughter in law and two grandchildren these were next to each other which was perfect for us, the children were also made very welcome. Spa and pool were an asset. Bathroom was a good size with quality toiletries. We had a drink in the bar and also sat out on the terrace which was lovely. Aircon in the room and blackout curtains were a bonus. Having car parking on site is great for a city centre hotel.

Only downside for us was the traffic noise but we appreciate that it is a city centre hotel (we live in the countryside so not used to traffic) and this would not stop us from returning.

Sam at check in was superb! Friendly, helpful and efficient. He sorted out a second room for us across the hall. A lovely welcome to the hotel from Sam! The bar and restaurant staff were also very friendly and helpful. Our rooms were very comfortable and well equipped. Our rooms were also ready before the 3pm check in time which was very convenient after an early morning flight.

I phoned reception to ask what time breakfast finished and was told 10:30 however when I got there just before 10 I was told it finished at 10 so I felt very rushed. There was chipped paint in the bathroom and the shower was difficult to operate. The water pressure was very low. A tv screen in the bar seating area showed an open fire, an actual electric or gas fire might be a nicer option as it was quite chilly in the bar and lobby area.

This hotel was everything we needed for a weekend in Leeds! Close to the train station + Leeds centre , but away from the noise + business . The staff were brilliant, so welcoming, friendly + helpful + created a relaxed environment. Being gluten + dairy intolerant the restaurant accommodated my needs so well, nothing was too much trouble. The pool was lovely + added to the enjoyment of our stay. Would highly recommend + will definitely book again if we return to Leeds.

We had a room which could be an adjoining family room to the next room + unfortunately the first night our neighbours were being very loud late at night, but this was dealt with swiftly + efficiently by Jade, a super receptionist!

The facilities were excellent, we particularly enjoyed the jacuzzi and sauna. Very well maintained and clean. The food/ breakfast hall is set in partitions, not just a big hall. This makes eating feel more natural as if you are in a restaurant. Really felt comfortable with this arrangement. The staff are amazing, from checking in to breakfast. All staff initiate conversations and are interested in your visit. At breakfast on 23 July there was a lovely lady who went above and beyond, really making conversation with guests, really a nice personal touch. I am giving her a big shout out. Unfortunately l cannot remember her name but she has a grandson who is 9 years old😊

Second time staying at the hotel and the staff were very friendly and helpful to the point that my 7 year old daughter said to me " Dad do you know why I like this hotel, it's because the people are really nice". The rooms are good enough plenty of towels,tea and clean. The bar and restaurant and nice with plenty of options to eat at breakfast.

The main thing that stood out was the pool facilities, there's alot of wear and tear with plenty of noticable repairs that needs sorting , plus my daughters were looking forward to going in the jacuzzi and sauna like they did the year before with no problems but this time I was asked by staff to not let them use them. I'm no fool and I understand the risks of young children using saunas and jacuzzi's but it definitely leaves question mark whether or not I will be staying at the hotel again.

I was a bit worried about staying here for a special occasion after reading some reviews but we had a great stay. All the staff we meet were excellent. The room was a very good size, bathroom slightly dated but not bad. Breakfast was good, although they could probably do with two working coffee machines and possibly even a third for busy times. The pool area would have been great if it had been quiet. Unfortunately when we visited it was really busy with families. The relaxing swim we had been looking forward to was very noisy and we had to dodge the kids that were constantly jumping in the pool. One family stayed in the jacuzzi the whole time we were there so we never got to try that and the sauna and steam room were small so with a few people in there they felt a bit uncomfortable. Next time we’d check to see how busy the area was before heading in but we’d certainly use the hotel again in the future.

The Spa was a a bonus. The breakfast was varied and sumptuous. The check in was smooth. The room was a good size comfortable. The bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly

I did not like a man taking pictures at the pool/spa. I had to warn him as there were little children in the swimming pool. My wife and I were there, I did not give consent and we were made to feel uncomfortable/exposed. We did not see signs prohibiting cameras/recording. Not that you need signs if people have understanding, discretion, awareness and a bit of social intelligence. I thought the hotel, with its visible apparent cctv cameras was slow to respond. Many minutes later, I saw a member of hotel staff by the pool and reported to him.

Our family stayed for 4 nights in total for our daughters graduation and the staff were exceptional! Nothing was too much trouble, no matter what we needed. Jade was the main person we spoke to at reception and she was incredible. She made sure our rooms were beside each other even though they had been booked separately. She took a great interest in our trip and when we returned after the graduation she congratulated our daughter and offered to take a group photo of us on the stairs. All of the staff were so cheerful and helpful, we had an amazing stay.

Honestly I cannot think of anything. I've asked my family and they can't either!
