The location is amazing. View from shared terrace is lovely. Parking at the side of the property was great. We had an early check-in. Mike was very helpful and brought us some chairs through so we could sit at the front of the property for the best view of the bed race. The little touches were brilliant, binoculars, games, books. Bottled water coffee tea hot chocolate, biscuits, and chocolate all replenished each day. Fan in room and docking station, blankets for use on the terrace. Use of iron and ironing board to name just a few. Jeanette ensured we didn't run out of anything and was very friendly and helpful.

If I wanted to be picky, I found the en-suit a bit small but perfectly adequate with modern furnishings and very clean.

Fab, fab, fab! The pink room was beautiful, with original artwork and lovely touches. The bed was super comfy, slept really well. Window could be opened however much you wanted for cool air, or closed for warmth. Very peaceful surroundings and very special.

The only thing I would recommend to fellow car travellers, is perhaps to study the map a little before you leave - and bear in mind you can only approach the cottage on Waterside from the end it is on (station / viaduct end). Apart from that, perfect! We managed to park no problem (it was a Sunday before the schools broke up).

We had visited the town previously so were aware of the property location and how busy it can be along the adjacent river path but due to the layout of the property it was not an issue. Parking was adjacent to the property which made things very easy indeed. The roof terrace / patio area was a great place to enjoy some outside space yet still be private. The shower room was huge and also very clean. Breakfast was taken at the nearby Black Mulberry cafe for an excellent - discounted - breakfast. A very good drinks tray was provided in the room with good quality snacks / drinks. The owner of the accommodation also gave us a few recommendations for places to eat but we had already booked at the Old Mother Shipton Inn for a late Sunday lunch, which was exceptional. When we visited the area previously we didn't have time to explore the town properly but we were glad we did as it was very accessible up a few paths and really good with lots of independent shops to explore.

The bed we had was was a little difficult to access from one side due to the room layout but in such an old building maybe there aren't many other options to fit everything in. The laminated information looked like it needed an update as I think the car parking spaces on it have now been built on? We were not expecting a breakfast in the accommodation but there still seemed to be crockery etc around the dining room in readiness for that? There was also mention of a self service honesty bar in the dining room but we never saw that anywhere without looking in places that maybe we shouldn't go? All minor points and nothing really to distract from this very well located and comfortable accommodation!

Absolutely stunning view from this cottage! It is right beside, almost underneath, the iconic and awe-inspiring Knaresborough viaduct, with the river quietly flowing below. And the view from the cottage in the evenibg is especially unbelievable! We have never had such a peacefully quiet, serene place outside our windows at night. The pink room is tastefully decorated with a super comfy bed and fluffy (not flat!) pillows.

The host was in a constant state of flustered and snappish, bordering on rude. He was very accommodating when we had to change our arrival time, however. The bathroom in the pink room is about one third smaller than a cruise line or small RV bathroom - EXTREMELY small!

The host was extremely helpful with instructions, as he wasn’t able to be there in person to let me in. He provided me with the code for the front door and clear directions to my room. The room was spacious and had everything I needed, including tea, coffee, and drinking water. From the bed, I had a lovely view of the viaduct, which added to the charm. There was also a beautiful outdoor deck where I could sit and enjoy my morning coffee while taking in the view of the quaint houses and the viaduct in the distance. It was excellent value for money, in a great location just seconds from the riverfront.

Location was absolutely exceptional. Really beautiful building fullness character. Mike was a charming and helpful host. Comfortable room and bed and a lovely terrace to take in the wonderful view.

Only little niggle which is totally to be expected was the beautiful floor was creaky. Just made us a bit paranoid that we were waking people up moving around. But it's a beautiful place and we really loved it.

The location was beautiful, the property was too! Mike gave really detailed instructions as he was away and it was all easy to follow. We would definitely stay again! What a stunning place and very relaxing! The hot tub was fab!

The only little thing was the awning should be out over the hot tub if other guest are staying upstairs as they can over look it from the roof terrace. We did try to work it out but couldn’t (We will ask for this next time) We put the umbrella up instead.

The room was very clean and comfortable. I would have preferred an ensuite bathroom but there was a lovely bathroom just at the end of a very small corridor that was just for our use. The continental breakfast that was included in the price was lovely with plenty of choice and replenished on request. The host has very high standards and was helpful and approachable as was the cleaning lady who we found very friendly. Teardrop cottage was also in an ideal location just under the arches. Lovely and would definitely recommend.

An extremely cosy place for staying during holidays. The location is convenient for you to visit most of the places in Knaresbourough, and costs only few minutes walk to train station. The owner, Mike is also extremely friendly, he is always happy to prepare everything you need. When I found I left the charger of my phone during my trip to here, I messaged Mike if he has an extra one for me to borrow and then he offered me a bag of various chargers to choose, that really impressed me. The whole property is well decorated with paintings and many lovely little stuffs, which is attracted me most. the room is small but warm and clean, the rubbish bin is always emptied when you come back, the bottle water is refilled everyday if you have finished it. I think I would like to come back next time!

Everything is extremely good except for the Wifi is not always work well when I stay in my room, especially it was always disconnected on my phone.

The room was very well presented, clean and comfortable. We did have a limited view of the river and the railway viaduct of which, both were just yards away.

The room would have been a little cramped for us had we been staying any length of time. The wet room was very nice housing a very good shower along with a sink and toilet, but, again it was somewhat small. Only enough room for one person in there.
