Stayed in room 4. Bed was amazing..so comfortable although pillows were hard. Breakfast was great and included in the price. The lovely Jackie served us..very friendly. Good location to town. Hotel inside is very nice so dont be put off by the outside. Staff are very pleasant and friendly.

Car parking is abit odd as it is behind the building next door which also belongs to the owners. Not sure why its called Orchard club? Orchard guest house would be nicer maybe. The entrance is round the back through a small conservatory and is mainly locked. Lovely front door but not used. Shower took some working out but was ok once it warmed up. Would stay again but upgrade to bigger room.

Very well equipped room, reasonably priced mini bar items.Sitting area which was nice to have that space. Well stocked tea and coffee tray Very nice cooked breakfast with several choices on menu.Cold options varied ,very nice fresh fruit choices with yoghurt.Plentiful tea and coffee. Welcoming and helpful staff Characterful hotel enjoyed our stay thank you.

Room facing onto high street in a listed building so no double glazing.Also traffic lights very near to our room so some traffic noise, music and reving of engines.Arrived late on a Saturday night so minimal noise and on leaving on a Sunday morning was quiet.However if staying through the week may be more of an issue.Large standing fan and amenity kit with earplugs available which would reduce noise and heat in room as having windows open may be an issue.

Great location. V warm welcome. Free parking. Attractive decor in our pretty, comfortable quiet room . which was beautifully cool in the heatwave. Honesty bar at decent prices and good variety. Great hot drink and biscuits selection for free. Great breakfast with excellent service and beautiful fresh cooked food. Wonderful fruit, cereals, yoghurt buffet with good strong bottomless coffee. Great value for money. The young staff are all brilliant.

These weren't things we didn't like, just small suggestions to make it even better: Shower needed to be on high for a good temperature so some instructions about this would be useful. A general information folder about the town might be nice too.. WiFi didn't work for one of us but was fine for the other. Some people might prefer a wardrobe but we didn't mind.

In a great position for exploring Knaresborough Yes you have to Park your car next door but it’s only a minutes walk away. First impression of the hotel was not great with the outside needing some attention and had to ring the bell to be let in… no reception but lady was lovely and showed us round and to the room which was very comfortable and nicely decorated and had everything we needed. Breakfast was excellent and plenty of choice.

The outside courtyard could do with tidying and is not a place where you would want to sit.

Location was good for local sights. Room was lovely spacious nicely decorated (even though at the top of the building). Facilities in room were great. Extra heating in room but didn't need it with central heating on. Shutters on windows was lovely. Breakfast was tasty but toast was anemic bread and cold..

Check in is too late at 4pm.. would be best around 2.30pm or 3pm..(did manage to have an early check in which was nice) especially if you have to check out at 10am/10.30am.. bit unfair if breakfast is 8-10 on a weekend... too many stairs (but old building) would benefit from double glazing on road side as a lot of noise at night..

The property looks a bit rough from the outside but it is very nice inside. Our room was on the yard side so no traffic noise and we enjoyed a quiet night. Bed extra wide and comfortable. Very good breakfast with plenty to choose from. Each member of staff we came across was very pleasant. We arrived at midday and were able to leave our car in the private car park. 5mn walk to the main square and 10mn to the castle and steps down to the river. Perfect location.

I enjoyed everything about my stay. The Staff were delightful, excellent breakfast, very comfortable room and bed and a great location - 3minute walk into town. Car parking was good and free as was the WiFi.

This is NOT a criticism, and all was made very clear before I booked. Check in is after 4.00pm and until then the door is locked. I believe however that you can organise an earlier check in if required. There is no restaurant other than the breakfast room but there are a plethora of good restaurants and pubs within a few minutes walk. Also there is no bar but an excellent mini-bar is provided in the room and the prices are very good

Everything!! The room was so incredibly clean and well designed. The water in the room and touches like wine glasses, make up remover and pads made it feel really luxurious. The rooms were well sound proofed and loved the option of the communal lounge. The breakfast was lovely, there were continental options to help yourself too (no pastries unfortunately!) and table service full English breakfast options. I felt truly spoilt and so well looked after during my entire stay. Really appreciated being able to leave my car on arrival instead of having to faff about with moving it. I would stay here again if ever back in the area.

24 hour reception would have been great. Or the option to grab the key earlier so we could arrive after check in time - although to be fair this wasn't something I asked!

Very nice hotel, friendly staff, very central location. Room was really nice - The bed was comfortable and it was quiet. The breakfast was cooked to order and staff were friendly and helpful. This hotel is 4 stars and one of the cheapest in the area, which was surprising as it was such a nice room. The room was large and had 2 chairs and a table and a full wardrobe. I would recommend staying here in Knaresborough.

The shower was not very good - not very warm but was ok. It was not very powerful. There was a fridge in the room with drinks you could purchase, which I turned off as I cannot bear the noise of a fridge.

It was all very clean. Had a large car park adjacent to the building. Staff welcoming, especially the lady serving breakfast. Very welcoming and informative.

The grand country look outside the front of the building for us did not reflect the inside. On entering, it felt like going into grandmas but also very dark and dated. The rooms were comfortable, clean but again dated and was a little cold. It did have a good selection of extras such as sweets & drinks to have for added cost.
