Booked as attending wedding celebration at the hotel. Lovely hotel in great location with good flow for the event. Great breakfast. Friendly staff. Walk in shower. Bed was really comfortable. Good quality linen throughout!

1. No racks to place cases on in room. 2. Tissues in bathroom ran out - small amount supplied. 3. Tiny biscuit offering. 4. Had the same room booked with hotel for previous night (problem extending with Booking.com on line) but hotel policy of not refreshing room unless asked for environmental reasons led to 2 & 3. Overall: Not great for price paid for a Saturday night.

Location opposite the lovely park. Watched the park run from the room. Nice bath with shower over. Could wash my hair with the shower whilst sat in the bath which was good for me. The staff were very friendly and polite and the hotel was gorgeous., well kept and clean.

The breakfast. I'm afraid the bacon was too soggy, so it put me off the rest of the breakfast, though they did bring me a poached egg on request. There wasn't enough choice. I literally had poached egg on toast which made it a very expensive breakfast for me. I also paid for an upgraded room for 2 nights. The room was not replenished for the second day (no shampoo etc, no replaced hospitality tray and snacks) but by the time we realised it was too late, it was bed time. Whilst this is a negative I would still come back, but hopefully when it's a bit cheaper to stay. I paid the extra for my husband to have a nice room with the little extras, though apart from the Nespresso machine I'm not sure how much was different to the room we originally booked.

This hotel has become our regular go to for stays (both personal and for business) in Harrogate. We particularly like that the car parks have sufficient space close to the hotel without the need for street parking. The staff are always friendly and polite. The restaurant serves a great evening meal and we love the little touches e.g. complimentary drinks on occasion. Beds and pillows are comfy and we appreciate that the bathrooms still have a bath as well as a shower. It being a little further away from the town centre makes for a pleasant walk into the shopping areas while reducing noise. The hotel offers nice gardens to sit in and enjoy a drink from the bar on nice evenings.

The hallways leading to the rooms are overly hot. Not sure if this is because of the hot summer weather we have been having or if they have been additionally heated. If it is the latter then the hotel would do well to turn the heating down in order to further reduce the environmental impact. Similarly, the rooms are quite hot in summer months as there is no air conditioning (only a desk fan) and the windows don't fully open. This being an issue, it would be nice to have the option to turn the heated towel rail in the bathroom, off. It's a nice touch in winter however in hotter months this exacerbates the heat of the room and again is not environmentally responsible.

Checking in and out were very easy. An automated system for both of them but always friendly staff available to help with any issues. On this occasion we didn't have breakfast as we had made other plans. The room was clean and tidy and well stocked with tea, coffee, milk and shower gels etc. There was also a fan in the room which was very welcome during our stay. The lifts were also very quick to respond when needed.

Our only issue was paying the same rate in the car park as non hotel residents. We felt that a reduced would have been better as most residents would be out during the day when the public would be wanting to use the spaces.

Absolutely stunning hotel in a wonderful location. Ideal for us to visit Harrogate and Mother Shiptons cave. Walking into the hotel, the attention to detail was aesthetically pleasing. My son loved the singing pumpkins and all the staff couldn't be more helpful. Beautiful bar lounge area to relax in after a busy day shopping and sightseeing. We had a meal in the restaurant which was absolutely beautiful. Is definitely on our list to visit this beautiful hotel again.

Found that the bedrooms could have done with a little tlc. The sealant round the bath was mouldy and peeling and screws sticking out of the bath panel. Paint Chipping off all around the windows. The carpet really needed a good cleaning. I really don't want this to sound like we are nit picking, as it did not spoil our stay at all. But we just felt that all the wow factor had been put into the entrance reception area, bar lounge, and restaurant.

My mum ended up staying at this hotel unexpectedly for nearly 8 weeks when my dad was taken ill on a holiday and ended up in Harrogate hospital. I visited three times whilst they were there. I would like to say a huge thank you to the staff who all looked after my mum and made her stay as comfortable as they could under the circumstances. It really made a difference in what was a very challenging time. She stayed in a Deluxe room which was spacious and comfortable with a lovely view over the garden. The hotel lobby and dining room are beautiful and the food was great. It is also lovely that the hotel is opposite a piece of parkland called The Stray. I stayed in a classic double and then several Deluxe rooms when I visited. The renovated rooms in particular are beautifully done. I also worked from the hotel and the WiFi was great for video calls. A big thanks in particular to Declan, Eleanor, Gary and all the team who looked after my mum. We are hoping to come back as a family to enjoy Harrogate properly once dad has recovered!

The hotel will be even better when the older rooms have been renovated.

I really enjoyed the ambiance and atmosphere of the hotel. Being a foreign visitor (from Canada) to Yorkshire I felt like I was in a unique, special location that reflected the traditions of food, decor and hospitality of the region. I have family who live in Yorkshire. Our numbers for a gathering to celebrate the 100th birthday of a family member in Harrogate were large. I was pleased to have selected the Cedar Court Hotel in Harrogate for accommodation while attending the event. In many ways, I felt I was in a home synonymous with Yorkshire family hospitality.

Great location, short walk into Harrogate and easy to find. Plenty of parking ( wasnt a match day ). Our rooms were ready when we arrived which was prior to the check in time. Rooms a nice size. We didnt use the restaurant as we had prior arrangements but it looked nice, we will use it on our next stay.

You get 4 hours parking free, but this is added after the first 24 hours. Would prefer to have it at the beginning of the 24 hours then its done with, would save messing about later. The lights in the lounge bar area would be better dimmed on a night, it would make it more cosy and the seating updating.

Breakfast was excellent (especially the black puddings). Most of the staff were very helpful and friendly. The dining room was superb. Harrogate only 10 min walk away and the Stray on the doorstep - brilliant location.

On arrival booking in confusion and failure of card to gain room access 3 times until helpful girl took over and sorted it. Bathroom really needs something to hold on to whilst showering.

Standard buffet and plenty to eat which was ok but maybe a fish alternative and bacon was hard and dried up by 9.15am. No major complaints and would stay again but maybe give the breakfast a miss. Got an early check in which was appreciated

A better explanation of the parking at check in would have been good. £8 for 24 hours but £14 for 26 hours!!!? Then walking out the back of the rear car park 1 sign said 4 hours free if dining or in the reception. So as we had coffees in reception before going to our room 24 hours would have been sufficient. Didn’t like having to put in the machine when we leaving the next day in advance either. Breakfast officiater a miserable devil too.
