The hotel is in a good location and ideal for an overnight stay as we were travelling back to Scotland from London. The rooms were clean and contemporary in design, nice throw and cushions. Bed comfortable. Black out curtains worked well but I slept in! Staff were friendly and helpful. We used the Fat Badger bar for drinks but ate in the dining room as the bar became quite noisy. That was a good choice, as although the dining room was quiet with just a few diners, it was nicely decorated and the staff were attentive. We will definitely stay again

The room we had was quite small and there was no fridge, or chilled water which is a personal preference. The car park was at the back of the hotel, so the assumption was, it belonged to the hotel, yet even residents had to pay £15.00 per day. Many places we have stayed have free parking if you are staying overnight.

Lovely hotel with a beautiful Restaurant, food was lovely, with a Christmas atmosphere the hotel staff were very happy and helpful, just a short walk to the town with plenty of shops and eating place's.

We asked to be put on the second floor, which they did provide, end room so very quiet, not so good with decor as the window sills had bad peeling paint and the bathroom had a musty smell. Sort these issue's out then it would make more a pleasant stay, we only stayed 3 nights and out all day. Standard room could be much better.

Location is fantastic and staff were really helpful and very friendly, great having somewhere to park the car at the hotel , nice food in The fat Badger and great beers .

We booked a comfort room not realising it was tiny .( not hotels fault ) Tight fit for two people, ideal for one person , was really hot in the room but couldn’t open the window as the noise from the hotel fans were right out side of the window . The hotel receptionist was very helpful and gave us a fan , so be aware don’t book room 123 for the noise. Next time we will book standard double. Will definitely stay there again .

Clean modern room. Had everything we needed. Good spacious en-suite bathroom with underfloor heating in our small double room. Central location. Nice and quiet. We could open the bedroom windows, which was a real bonus. We were located in the building next door to the hotel, the plus side being that we weren't affected by any pub or restaurant noise. It wasn't an issue for us to walk to the main building for breakfast.

One small niggle was that the coat hangers (hanging rail not a wardrobe), were located on one side of the side of the bed, once coats were hung on them, you couldn't walk past them easily and had to push the clothes back to pass.

Good location and comfy bed. Overall great value for money. Fat badger dinner was excellent. Breakfast good. Convenient parking to the rear. Room ready early.

I was quite shocked to learn that asking for 2 wine glasses in the room had an extra charge. Also asking for some extra Jus on my lamb dinner also incurred an extra charge. This is quite frankly wrong and needs changing. Reception staff not very friendly. Didn’t welcome or smile during our whole stay.

Stunning building and decor. Bar and outside seating also very lovely. Very friendly staff. Room was 4 poster. It was spacious and the sofa, tv and reading lights were fab Parking was super easy.

Couldnt find a seat in bar or outside as it is not just for residents it was super busy so we couldnt have a relaxing drink at the hotel. Food was expensive in comparrison to the quality and value. Bits of the room were a little tired, marks on bed cover and cup marks on bedside tables, large crack in sink, carpet well worn. None of this spoilt our stay but we paid over £200 without food for 1 n8ght so have had better rooms for less money elswhere.

Fabulous property not happy with £30 charge to park the car on their car park, so we parked on the street ..

We had a very nice stay with you all staff were polite and efficient, we used the fat badger bar and restaurant and although both were busy with a great atmosphere again staff were polite and friendly also efficient. We didn't have to wait to be served at the bar unlike other establishments we have experienced. A special mention must go to the lady checking people in for breakfast on the Sunday morning, we had paid b&b and my wife was had cold so didn't come for breakfast your staff member was very helpful and gave me a tray of tea to take for my wife. We haven't had service like that anywhere else. Thank you

We were very impressed with the hotel - the interior decor was modern but in-keeping with the beautiful building. Our room was clean, really comfortable and had everything we needed. Lovely shower! We had a great nights sleep and noise was minimal. The location was perfect for exploring central Harrogate. The staff were very friendly and attentive, polite and helpful. The onsite bar/pub was great, really good atmosphere. The on-site parking was extremely handy and took the stress out of finding somewhere each day. We didn’t have breakfast out of our own choice but I’d definitely like to try this when we come again - and I’m sure we will! Excellent time had!

Some room doors sounded like they closed very heavily, with a bang, so maybe softer closing fittings would be beneficial to reduce noise.

Very comfortable clean room, great value for money. Plenty of room in the car park at the back of the hotel. Excellent restaurant with a fantastic evening meal. Great pub attached, with other great pubs nearby to try

The room didn’t have double glazing, but the traffic noise died down before we went to bed. The breakfast food was disappointing, the sausages were more cereal than meat content, the fruit provided was tinned, but a bowl of fruit was provided as well. The female member of staff who ‘greeted’ us at the door of the breakfast room was very off hand and didn’t improve while we had breakfast, the other staff members were great
