We stayed here after the value was better than a well known chain . We certainly were not disappointed . Arrived on a very cold night . Room was lovely . Huge . Spotless . Kettle provided along with some biscuits . Bathroom was again tastefully done and clearly newly renovated . Would definitely return again

If any negative it would be parking . Limited and not much room either . We parked on the main road if you resort to main road ensure you check the parking times and fees

The hotel is beautiful I can't speak for all rooms we stayed in a deluxe double and it was beautiful loads of space really comfy bed clean and warm location is brilliant right in the centre and easy to find we really enjoyed our stay and will be back

Parking is a nightmare as can't book and even we arrived there was no space but multi story is a 2 minute drive away and only £13 for 24 hours

The room was located on the second floor at the back of the hotel. The breakfast was really very good. Served has a buffet style. We had an evening meal in the restaurant which was excellent. Staff very attentive They were able to find a good table for us. Recommend to book as it does (as the hotel suggests) get very busy.2 minute walk to town and shops, and beautiful valley gardens.

The room because of the location was at the back of the hotel. Unknown to us it was at the back of a busy street. We were rudely woken very early 5.50am with bins being emptied, men shouting, lorries beeping when reversing lasting for a good half hour!. Whilst we appreciate its an old hotel and certain things like double glazing are not appropriate I think secondary glazing would be beneficial . I would stay again but ask for different location.Parking an issue if you don't get parked outside the hotel .

The location of The Yorkshire is ideal for exploring Harrogate very close to all the places you want to see ie Betty's tea rooms ,valley park ,the pump room museum .It's also close to the bus stops and the train station if you wanted to explore further afield ie Ripon for example Knaresborough or Skipton .The rooms are lovely and clean as well as bright and airy .The Housekeeping staff are fantastic with fresh milk, towels and biscuits topped up every day .Also fresh towels placed as required. The reception staff are also really lovely with a fast and speedy check in .I had breakfast on the first day very attentive staff at breakfast with a good selection of food on offer

The room service app didn't seem to be working for the pickled sprout which was disappointing .Pretty much everything else was fab

Breakfast staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Really great experience and a fantastic breakfast. Fresh produce and great choice. Clean was clean and tidy. Tear in bed sheet and could do with a deep clean around windows.

Paid for breakfast and parking in deal but charged for breakfast on top drastically reducing the deal offered. There were better options nearby and if it was clear everything was extra I’d have chosen elsewhere. Breakfast and parking was an extra £45, feel like I was twirled. No parking available so ended up on street. Reception staff could do with some customer service training. Quite dismissive and taking to other guests whilst dealing with us. Then stopped dealing with us to sort other customer then came back to us. Clearly other customer must have been far more important.

The Yorkshire is a great hotel. The only downside is not being able to pre book parking, and with limited parking spaces its an issue. There were 2 young men on reception on arrival who weren't overly helpful when enquiring about parking. Fortunately I kept pushing for them to check and then when they checked for the 3rd/4th time there was a cone in a space that didnt need to be. It seems that cones had been put in some spaces that shouldnt have been. Also very bizzar with limited parking, the hotel had put tables and chairs in some parking spaces, making it even harder to get a space. Quite disappointing really considering the cost per night.

Really good central location. Beautiful building giving a feeling of luxury. Tastefully decorated. Spotlessly clean. Second stay and will stay again.

Very small thing but TV faulty. I wasn't there to watch TV but that's a check that should be done. The batteries had gone in the remote. Switched the TV on with underneath button then it wouldn't switch off! No phone in the room to ring front desk and the number I rang no reply from my mobile. Which meant getting dressed to go down 5 floors to report after midnight. Won't put me off the hotel one bit just a pain for such a simple thing in a deluxe room.

Central very comfortable hotel, good breakfast and lovely staff. Bit surprised we had to pay £15 for parking as we were residents, this was the only thing that would put us off going back.

The location of this hotel was fantastic. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious and clean. Staff were welcoming on arrival. Breakfast was really good too!

We had never stayed here before and it said there was paid parking available - we didn’t realise there would be so few spaces so they had all gone by the time we arrived to check in. That being said, the reception staff were very helpful and directed us to a nearby multi story car park which was only 6 minutes walk away. The room was also very hot and stuffy, we could’ve done with a fan in there.

Superb location in the heart of Harrogate town centre with a direct 8 minute walk from the railway station (really no need for a taxi). Hotel located In the midst of the shopping centre and near Bettys Tea room and other eating places. Rooms on the side of the hotel offer an excellent view of the town and the Cenotaph square. Good bedside lighting.Good breakfast. Lovely panoramic views of the town and beyond can be viewed from the 5th floor where breakfast is served.

Hotel and room decor was a bit tired and dull. The room itself was large enough with a nice view of the town but lacked some standard 4* amenities- minimal furniture -no drawers for clothing, no adequate size desk/dressing table, no toiletries, no internal telephone, no full length mirror.
