The hotel is situated well close to amenities. Breakfasts were very good there was a wide choice to suit everyone. Hotel and room was warm and clean.

Our only fault/complaint would be the television in the room didn't work we did report it and a young man came to see, he couldn't mend it. We thought by the end of our 3 nights they would have replaced it but think they probably forgot.

Breakfast was very good, lots of choice, all cooked well. Staff all very friendly, lovely bar area, good bar menu, rooms very clean and comfortable, good location for shops and restaurants

No improvements I can think of although having paid £720 for 2 rooms I’m not sure an extra £20 to park was justified

Comfortable ; warm; modern decor rooms; great shower & bathroom. The pub it is attached too is also great: very nicely kitted out; very good value food . Breakfast was EXCELLENT: good quality ingredients and plentiful . Location couldn’t be better! Opposite the Turkish Baths & Harrogate Convention Centre - and a five minute walk to all the central attractions . And finally - a total bargain ! Not sure if it was because I was there in Winter - but for the price was really not expecting half of what I got . Really a very good option in Harrogate .

The only downside was PARKING- there is v limited space - even if you could find it ! I also found directions to the hotel v imprecise. I circled the town centre three times desperately trying to find THE HARROGATE INN sign. The problem is that there IS no obvious signage- but the pub it is attached to has HUGE signage everywhere! If I’d been told to look out for the pub signs I may have saved myself three circuits of Harrogate’s one way system!

Booked a family room. Often 'family rooms' comprises a double bed and pull out sofa bed with very little room left. This room had a double and bunk beds and plenty of space left in the room. Location is brilliant. Dog friendly.

The toilet cubicles on the ground floor by the bar are tiny. It's a challenge to open and close the door if you're in there. Very unlikely this can be changed but it feels very squashed and poorly thought out. Anyone with mobility difficulties or having take young children to the toilet might find it difficult to use these facilities. Literally the only negative I can think of.

The staff couldn't do enough to try to please us everyone made an effort, the rooms were lovely and comfortable.

Unfortunately there was a problem with breakfast we think it was first day teething troubles, Tuesday was a bit of a disaster, Wednesday was fine but Thursday it went back to the same as Tuesday. The head waiter tried her best to get everything on track but the problem seemed to come from the kitchen I'm sure everything will be sorted in the coming days. It did not spoil our stay.

Was a lovely style. very large rooms which are good for families old enough to use bunk beds. There would be plenty of space for a cot, possibly 2. You can bring drinks up from the pub on the ground floor. The breakfast was great. Plenty of variety for fussy kids and gluten-free provisions. There is green space across the road and 10/15 mins walk to a playground. I could see the village from the window although we didn't end up going there. Staff were so attentive and approachable, as though you were a regular in a local bar. Good mattress.

Self check in didn't work. Would nicer to see a real human if checking in before 7.30 but the staff compensated for this and were super helpful. There were a couple of strange steps in the bathroom to trip on. Would be nice to have blankets on the beds because it was too hot for a duvet. There is not much parking.

I was travelling with 2 other members of my family - we stayed in 3 rooms. In all 3rooms, the TV was pixelating meaning it was impossible to watch TV. My bother stayed at the hotel last year and he had exactly the same experience. When I raised this at check out, it was clear from the person I was speaking to that the TV issue was well known to the management of the hotel. So why doesn't the management of the hotel get it fixed as advertising TV's in rooms as a feature of the room but not providing working TV in rooms is not a good customers experience and may well be a breach of contract.

Our room was on the 3rd floor and my other family members were on floor 2. Both rooms were very comfortable, the 3rd floor room was at the back looking over the carpark and was very cool (which suited us perfectly) the 2nd floor room was also at the back but was a bit close to the outside boiler vent which woke my Mum up. Both rooms needed just a little touch up as there were small decor requirements. The breakfast both mornings were fantastic , plenty of choices. We were in Harrogate for the flower show so the location of the hotel suited us perfectly. All in all a great stay.

2 of my party are Coeliac - I think there could have been a better range of Gluten Free choices on the main menu at The Barking George. The lift would not open for us on the Sunday morning when we got to our floor !! We had to go back down and then take the stairs.

The hotel was in a great location for us and included a Buffet Breakfast which was very good. The hotel was a clean and the decor was very nice and staff were very polite and attentive. The hotel had a great bar and the evening meal we had was very good and we were surprised that others had stated that the meals at the hotel were poor. There was a bit of road noise which was to be expected based on the location of the hotel and we were able to access the car park although we appreciate that in high season it might be difficult to get a space. Overall a great stay and should we visit Harrogate in the future, we would stay in this hotel again..

It stated that the hotel had a car park and we had assumed that it would be included within the price paid. However, we were charged an additional £10 and although this was a surprises it was a reasonable fee.

As we were only staying one night, we had booked a "Compact Double" and found the space in the room more than adequate with all the amenities we needed. Staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel is a beautiful old stone building and the bar/dining areas absolutely spectacular, especially all the stained glass. We decided to dine in the hotel to spend more time enjoying the exquisite décor and our meals were delicious, as was the generous and tasty buffet included breakfast. We were unable to book parking in the hotel car park but had no trouble finding a 24 hour carspace nearby as a reasonable price. Once there, everywhere we wanted to go in Harrogate was in easy walking distance.
