The hotel & our room was very clean & modern in a great location. The free tea & coffee in the reception area was a bonus. The room had enough space, a full length mirror and plenty of plug points. It's decorated in a modern, stylish Yorkshire theme throughout. The parking is only a 2 min walk away and is reasonable as you get a discount through the hotel which makes it £10 for 24hrs. The breakfast was brilliant set in a nice restaurant, there was so much choice especially for £9.99 each. Buffet style full English, continental, fruit & yogurt, pastries etc plus drinks. We would definitely return

The only thing that could improve the hotel (especially for the price) is a fridge in the room and a bottle of water, this was definitely missed!

Location was perfect for the night-time economy, we were staying over for a gig at the O2 Academy. We enjoyed a meal next door to the hotel at MyThai and everything was within simple walking distance. Staff at the hotel were really helpful and appeared genuinely friendly. Breakfast was good, excellent choice of items, (Full English and Continental) with various breakfast breads to choose from (Bagels, English Muffins and good quality bread for toast!) Tea & coffee facilities in the room but, also in the foyer (with takeaway cups!)

The bathroom was practical, but quite compact in size, in our room (208).

It was a pleasant visit altogether, however we did struggle with our pre booked birthday plans due to the ‘policy’ around pets being left unattended in the room. The hotel really needs to ensure they make this policy visible for guests BEFORE they book, and not just sent via message after they have already bloody booked. They did not allow us to cancel nor change dates, so it did come as a bit of a shock as this policy is not listed anywhere on booking.com nor their website! Luckily we did have a great time all together anyway, but absolutely not because of the hotel. It’s such a shame because the hotel itself is lovely, and in a fab location, but it did ruin my partners birthday.

It's a decent hotel in a convenient position next to the arena and a short walk to the city centre shops and restaurants. Rooms are a decent size and have a nice décor with a good-sized wall mounted TV. We were on the 4th floor and couldn’t hear any outside noise. The CitiPark (Merrion Centre) is next door and when you enter your registration into the CitiPark tablet situated in the hotel reception you get 24 hours for only £10.

We had booked for one night on a Friday for what I would say was the most I would pay to stay here £97. We looked to add on an extra day through the App and that night was going to cost £164. I understand about dynamic pricing but that price for me is too high. It was actually over £300 when I checked as a new booking which is taking your eyes out. Our bed was two joined together with just a sheet over the two mattresses and the quilt cover was way bigger than the quilt inside. The breakfast is really poor; it is served in the attached Indian restaurant. Cheap produce and the cooked breakfast had no seasoning so was completely bland.

The hotel entrance is interesting and welcoming. There is a carpark right nextdoor and it's close to the main shopping areas. The room was big and so was the comfy bed. Air con so we could cool it down. Free hot drinks are nice. Would certainly stay again and recommend. It was a short taxi ride to Stylus for a gig.

Only 2 towels in the room, we managed but more than one night we would have needed more. As always the mirror in the room was not lined up with any lights, the designer didn't care about makeup application ! There was no extraction in the bathroom, bit odd ? There was an unused toilet roll holder right next to the toilet seat I had to be careful not to bash myself on !

The check in staff were incredible. Friendly and they were dancing to Cher-always a winner!! The room exceeded expectations. The cleanliness of the lobby was classy, welcoming and felt secure in a busy area. Full credit given to the reception staff for their hospitality, service and friendly nature.

The only thing that frustrated me was I was told checkout was at 12 and housekeeping started banging on the door at 9.30 I told them I wasn’t ready, they returned no more than 10 minutes after hammering on the door again!! Definitely not the gentle morning I was looking for given it was my first night solo in Leeds when I have a very stressful job and chose this place specially for the incredible check out time of 12pm… totally ruined that part for me when housekeeping hammer on the door 2.5 hours early!! So I felt rushed in packing and leaving knowing they’d be back banging on my door again!!

Great value for the money. The hotel was in the city centre, and I honestly can't believe how clean this place was. The facilities were nice (free coffee!!), the bathroom was modern, and the mattress was super comfy! I also appreciated how quiet it was at night. If you're a light sleeper, this is the place! I also requested a quiet room, and the staff were more than happy to accommodate. Leeds is a wonderful city, and it felt nice having the hotel a mere 10 minutes away by foot. The bus station is about 15 minutes away, and the Dominos next door is another great perk ;) Also, the air con was AMAZING . It was 25C during the weekend if by visit, and having the room cooled throughout the day was fab.

Nothing, really. I would only request for hand wash in the rooms (there was a body wash above the bathroom sink, but perhaps this was done by error).

Welcomed by the staff at the reception when we booked in. We were on the second floor. The room was an okay size, bed was comfortable. Room was bright clean and modern décor. The bathroom was adequate size too, shower was good. The breakfast was good, plenty on offer. Full English or continental.

The air conditioning was an issue. It was controlled by the hotel. We tried to turn it onto cool but it was set for 19 degrees at all times. We told reception and the guy said he would manually set it for us and the room should cool down. We got back late that evening and it was a little cooler. The trouble was you could not open the window, which would have cooled the room down. In the morning it became a little warmer in the room which was a little too much for us.

The appearance of the hotel in both the public areas and the bedroom- the name Styles is certainly appropriate. The Leeds dialect sayings written on the walls and the carpet pattern are fun. I liked the layout of the room, the excellent lighting and quality of the fittings. The shower was exceptionally easy to use and I could switch the heated towel rail on and off (plug switch inside the wardrobe) - not always possible in a hotel. Air conditioning was quiet and effective. The breakfast was good and we appreciated being able to help ourselves to a variety of hot drinks (from a machine in near the lifts) from early morning to 11pm as well as having a kettle etc in the bedroom. We chose this hotel as it is close to the 02 Academy. The location is great in many ways, easy walking distance to excellent places to eat and lots of shops plus Merrion Park. The staff were friendly and helpful. The cost of our stay was extremely good value. We would be very happy to stay there again.

There were only Bathtowels, no Hand ones. I didn’t ask for any as I always travel with one (never enough!) No Safe but lifts could only be accessed with a room card so that provided some security.

Breakfast food was DELICIOUS, plentiful, great range, the scrambled egg was delicious and orange juice very nice and fresh. Comfy beds, great location and it's fantastic you offer a £10-per-night charge if parking on the nearby multistorey carpark. Thank you, we would stay here again!

Some suggestions could be: offer gluten free bread options at breakfast, and also, change the music, as the track playing when we were there (Saturday 3rd May 2025) was very depressing and would be better suited for a funeral. My husband and I felt that and other guests around us also voiced the same thoughts too.
