Unfortunately, there are no facilities for children which Booking.com does not highlight, so we booked the hotel because of the pool, not realising that my son could not use it. The Manager was understanding and agreed to cancel the remaining days with a full refund; however, Booking.com was awful to navigate and sent the receptionist around in circles to the point we gave up and stayed because the hotel itself is amazing. I enjoyed some complimentary time in the spa, which was a lovely experience. The breakfast was super, as was the charming dining room staff. The room was very spacious, and the complimentary water was much appreciated.

We stayed at the hotel to break our journey from Norfolk to the Midlands and extend our holiday by visiting the spa. Fortunately this all worked out fine, the spa wasn't busy when we arrived (3 hours gratuity but not guaranteed if busy), and we were able to enjoy fluffy robes, spa pool, sauna and steam room. We ate at the restaurant and I can report the catering of Kettering to be plentiful and good quality (Fish & chips). The staff were lovely and some chatted with us at dinner and breakfast. The room was part of the old building and overlooking the gardens. The experience we had was good value for money given the investment that has been put into the spa and other facilities.

There was a wedding on, which did create a bit of noise. However this was mostly away from our room area and it was nice to see everyone dressed up and enjoying themselves.

Lovely hotel. Hydrotherapy pool (not really for swimming!) + sauna + steam room were great. On site gym equipment is amazing, with A/C throughout that customers can control. Room came with 3 hours spa usage per night. My room was very clean, even hard to reach areas, and also had great A/C. Large wardrobe with iron. Provided bath robes and towels lovely. Heating for shower very controllable and fast. Toiletries provided. Breakfast is very reasonably priced at £15 for a buffet and makes for a great morning pit stop. The hotel staff were absolutely lovely and amazing throughout the stay. Would happily stay here again.

My bed was super comfy and I could have stayed in it a lot longer. The Spa seemed lovely, very generous amount of time granted for use included in stay. I didn't use this only as I was tired from travelling and activities prior to arrival and wanted to rest with very early night. Loved the smell of Frankincense in the Spa in the outside pool area. Hosting team very nice. If I had stayed a second night may have taken breakfast on the second morning so cannot review that. People dining in restaurant and at bar previous night seemed content. Decor seemed like a nice country family home and liked the pictures of cute woodland animals dotted about. Saw foxes dancing in the gardens in the early morning. Gentle ambiance. Not too modern or too traditional.

Staff: were all really, really good. Smiling and helpful. Lilly in the dining room was particularly good. The reception team were very welcoming and also generous in their response to a noisy neighbour we had to suffer on the first night of our stay. Food: Dinner offered a wide range of options and our choices were all delicious. Breakfast: Excellent. Wide choice well laid out.

Small points. 1. The closer on the door to the en-suite is really fierce and needs a hefty push to open it. This means it's impossible to visit in the middle of the night without waking one's partner. Probably a fire regulations matter but thought it worth mentioning. Staying in the bathroom, 2. The mirror of the basin is much too high cannot be used by anyone under about 5. 5ft 3. There are no shelves of any kind in the bathroom. We were staying in a Courtyard room.

Very lovely setting - well kept building. Electric car charging point available - Tesla but open to all vehicles. Lots of free parking and good wifi.

Our room backed onto a yard at the right hand side to the front of the property which had the gym and spa opposite side. On the Monday morning we were disturbed at around 0630 when a lorry arrived reversed in and started unloading something. This was on top of some other noise earlier from the same area which took the shine off the stay, would be nice if they could arrange delivered for normal working hours.

I loved all of it! The room, the atmosphere, the location and the staff at the restaurant.

I asked for an early check-in and was only told that my room wasn't ready before 3pm when I arrived. I wasn't happy as I wasn't informed. The lady checked to see if my room was ready. Thanks to the lovely cleaning team, it was. I was able to check in early. However it would have been good from the lady at Reception to be more flexible straight away rather than encountering some resistance from her part. Otherwise it was perfect!

The location, building, parking, room, staff etc were all lovely. Despite being ground floor and by the hall and stairs the room (2) was quiet. It was like having a small, boutique apartment.

My only disappointment was I couldn't get to use the bar or restaurant because there was what I presumed was a wedding party, on a Sunday evening!!!!!!. The notice in reception said the wedding was the next day! I had to go out to a service station to get food to bring back and eat in my room. I didn't bother with breakfast for the same reason.

First impressions were good, the outside looks immaculate. The staff at the reception were very polite and helpful at all times. We had room Number 1 which was bright, fresh and quite spacious. The bathroom was also bright and large space too. We ate in the bar but only bar snacks as we were attending a wedding reception at Wicksteed Pavilion for the night. This was a 10 minute walk but a little longer coming back, as a little bit of alcohol was consumed by yours truly. This is a pleasant Hotel and Spa and it appeared to be busy this weekend. Thoroughly recommend this place.

We had an issue with shower handles/controls but it was quickly sorted.

It’s was very beautiful and our room was lovely. There was a lovely young girl in the restaurant who was so lovely to my daughter and greeted us both mornings very lovely and was eager to help. Also Shelley was lovely to try and fix the problems we had.

The staff were a little rude at reception. I got told before and when I arrived that they would be able to provide whole milk for my baby and shock, when I went to get some, they didn’t have any!! Also the bath was broken in our room
