The manager was so friendly and helpful. I put in a request when I booked and he acted on this more than I'd expect. Very clean room. Kitchen and dining table in the dorm. Were very considerate and thoughtful. Best hostel experience I have had.

I didn't get sent the code to get in the front door. Luckily someone else arrived at the same time as me, otherwise I would have been stuck and worried, especially arriving in the dark. The hostel is not distinguishable from outside. When I got to the address I thought it wasn't there, that the hostel didn't exist.

The owner, Tim, and all the volunteers, Sarah/Adrianna/Alex are wonderful. We loved getting to hang out with everyone here. The atmosphere is very friendly and social. The facilities were also always clean and the rooms tidied and cleaned each day.

Far from the city. Bit of a tight kitchen and communal space. Could probably use labels for food as well.

Decent place as far as hostels go but 9.5, no! The only hostel that i’ve been to that is a 9.5 is city hub in Copenhagen, that place is unreal. This place is average i would say from my experience, no major complains except the lockers are small, just put a luggage lock on your large bag, they had cameras at the door, no one will run off with your bag. If you carry a bike lock for your bag like i do, you can lock it to something in the room. Also, there is also no exhaust fan in the bathroom so after you shower it is very steamy, and the bathroom is in the room which if you haven’t been to a hostel before it might sound good but you can hear everything, and i mean everything.lol hostels with bathrooms down the hall are better in my opinion. Oh!, on the plus side, there is a bum gun! But i don’t go in for that sort of thing, but if you do, then it is the place for you! Lol Also it is a bit far out from the downtown but on the plus side there is a killer kebab place around the corner. With all that said, you probably won’t find a hostel much better in Liverpool. Hostels are almost always less than ideal. Honestly, i would say just book it, or spend more money and get a hotel.

I stayed here for two weeks and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. It was mostly Carrie that was around helping me out and 'pampering me' day to day when I was here. Tim the owner/manager was also around a lot and was also very friendly and extremely helpful. The bed was perfectly comfortable, and the shower was amazing. The hostel was also cleaned thoroughly and often making it always feel and look new and clean. I have to return to Liverpool and will stay here again.

After my recent stay there, I can confidently say this hostel gets my highest recommendation hands down. Warm reception, professional team, spacious and tidy rooms, spotless bathroom. I am a dab hand at cooking so I can't fail to heap praise on the kitchen which, more than anything else, met my needs.

I was surprised that nobody asked me for identification upon the check-in, as I expected it to be a mandatory procedure. In fairness, the overall mood was giving off such good vibes and the feelings were so chill and vibrant that it made me refrain from pointing that out. Yet looking back, I think that this shouldn't have been the case.. I believe it must have been a one-off oversight of the clerk who was in office for that moment in time. Proper identification of each guest should never be overlooked so that the security of all patrons can be ensured. Nevertheless, I would definitely come back time and again.

This was my first stay at a hostel and I have to say I was so pleased with this place. I took my freind to see Man United but he had to sit with us Toffees to see it hahahaha. It is literally right down the street from Goodison park. There is so much great food right next door, great breakfast right next to it. It was my first time in Liverpool, Tim the owner spoke with me directly and even gave my freind and I a room to ourselves which was an amazing thing he didn't have to do. The staff were so nice and they even let us keep our bags with them while we went to the match. It's the Last season and if I were to suggest a place to stay to see a match this is the one. I suggest it if you were just visiting it was comfy, clean. And The location was amazing!

Everything about the hostel from the facilities to the warm welcome from tim the owner is what brings me back time and time again , from dorm to kitchen to common area ,it's a joy to be amongst it all, comfortable bed with curtain and plug socket amazing warm shower and excellent common area to meet all other fellow guest,perfect setup, oh the security of the hostel and everyone has a locker ,everything one would need you've got it.

The fact the hostel i's beside my enemy football team stadium of goodison park haha,joking it's an amazing hostel tim has created and rightfully so as he has made a great effort to have it that way, come and stay once and youll be wanting to stay again.

Tim the owner is a gent of a man and so welcoming and attentive he is the reason I stayed 3 times now at his wonderful hostel,the dorm I stayed in so we'll equipped with clean tiolet and shower in the dorm and the bed was so comfortable it's hard to get out of in the morning haha but the location of the hostel so close to anfield stadium is perfect for football fans staying there and the facilities in the hostel makes for a comfortable stay there

Everything is perfect ,short bus away from the city and tim has it pretty nailed on about everything one desires in staying there, everyone made to feel welcomed and not just a guest but a returning friend,thanks tim il see you soon

Easy to find, good connections to the centre, wonderful staff, bed has a privacy curtain, a light, a plug socket, large draw, wardrobe space and a locker available. Plenty of fridge space, I cooked while I was there, met some interesting people on their travels, would definitely recommend. Izador (one of the staff) was very welcoming, and friendly and we all had a few drinks and played heads up, peak hostel experience really.

There's a rise in the floor in the hallway, technically speaking it should have like hazard tape or something, but really I'm stretching to find any negatives.

Being a Peruvian visitor and being able to go 10 days to Liverpool without completely knowing their language and going for the first time to England was something completely new, but quickly all my doubts and fears were answered 100% by Tim and all the volunteers of The Liverpool Pod hostel, special mention for the volunteer Andrea who helped me at all times when my cell phone broke down and we were able to repair it in time. It is true that the location is in Everton's blue zone, but I recommend all Liverpool FC fans worldwide to go to the Pod, they will feel at home, so I will come back every time I have to visit the city of Liverpool.
