Property looked clean and tidy. Rooms were ok.

Check in was 3pm. Had 2 rooms booked and one wasn’t ready to check into until 3.45pm. Rooms were tired looking and very warm. We had a little tabletop fan in the room that was covered in dust and was pointless putting on. When we asked at the bar for lemonade there was none available. Breakfast next day started ok but went downhill quickly. We sat down as nobody about when we arrived for breakfast. Then somebody came and told us they had layed a table for 4 so we had to move with our drinks etc. when cooked breakfast order was then taken, despite there only being 3 other tables at the time it took 30 mins to arrive and then it was luke warm. By then none of us wanted it. Garden could do with some tidying up.

Breakfast was beautifully presented and cooked to perfection for us. The location was gorgeous surrounded by trees and fields, great for connecting to nature and ourselves. The bed was huge in our superior room. The hotel exterior is very well maintained as are the grounds. We enjoyed our stay so much we added another day onto our visit. The staff were fabulous, efficient and all our needs were met, thank you to Amey on reception, Hayley on the bar along with Jess. The girls on breakfast duty were amazing they had their work cut out at every breakfast sitting. Every member of the team we came into contact with were polite, very accommodating and extremely hard working. What a great team they have.

Some of the decoration in the communal areas needed a touch up. As did some areas in our room, however saying this it did not put us off as all areas were clean and tidy no clutter, the hotel has a very welcoming feel to it.We had a really great stay.

Location was lovely with beautiful views across the fields from our room. Plenty of parking. Fresh milk in the room fridge was a nice touch as was the coffee maker. Efficient shower and plenty of hot water. Meals were beautifully cooked and presented. Everything served hot and the coffee at breakfast was lovely.

The duvet was lumpy where it had been washed and the filling had clumped together. The breakfast juices frequently ran out and were not replenished unless requested. There were no condiments available. Salt, pepper and sauces had to be fetched from the kitchen everytime requested.

Super clean and comfortable. The bed and bathroom were great. The hotel is set in a beautiful place. Staff is nice.

We waited 45 minutes to be served at the restaurant. We were also disappointed with the spa... or lack thereof! We booked this hotel in particular because of the spa, to relax after a few days spent hicking around Wales, but we found out on our arrival that it was closed. There was no mention of it before our arrival, especially not upon booking, and no mention before we actually asked, a few minutes after check-in. No explanation offered, just "sorry, it's closed, unfortunately." Not the end of the world, but what a shame when the place is advertised as a hotel&spa!

The room was a great size, really well decorated and furnished and the bed was really comfortable. The staff were really friendly and welcoming and the grounds were super.

Although it’s only a trivial thing, for a hotel of this standard, I would expect a higher spec tv with more channel options such as streaming services etc which are standard in most hotels these days. We didn’t go away to watch tv obviously, but for the occasional times that we wanted to, the options were limited and the tv/remote seemed dated compared to the standard of the room!

The view was amazing from the spa and hotel. The room was clean spacious and had a huge bath and shower in the ensure. There were biscuits in the room and all the tea, coffee and milk available. The creams in the bathrooms smelt lovely. Will definitely come back.

The staff were lovely, but I noticed one member of staff did not understand what I was saying. I think it was a language barrier. Therefor we did not get the Contintal breakfast, which we was looking forward to and lots of mistakes were made such as getting wrong juices and not being able to ask for sole things like pepper. We gave up in the end waiting for the Contintal breakfast, the full English was amazing. All the other staff worked very hard to look after us and were welcoming.

It is a lovely house in a beautiful location.

Neither my room or the dining room had been properly vacuumed or swept. My room (7) had a superking bed and a poor quality, king sized quilt which hardly covered the whole bed and had an old and bobbled quilt cover. If my wife had been with me it would have been way too small for the bed. Your reception expected two of us (which was always incorrect) so the quilt was meant for us both.

Dinner and breakfast delicious. Given whole bottle of cream to take to room. Bed very comfortable, clean room. Beautiful views. Relaxing spa and hot tub.

Staff in hotel seemed separate from spa, so any questions about our spa next day were unanswered. Couples massage had been booked to be together but on the day told we would be separated.. had been the main point of booking. Luckily they were able to accommodate us in adjacent rooms just one of us had the lights off (not an issue). Just put on the back foot at first.

The hotel was better than expected for a three star rating. Modern rooms nicely decorated throughout. The bedroom was comfortable with fresh milk and home made biscuits provided for the tea and coffee.The breakfast was nicely cooked , the staff were efficient and pleasant . The hotel was a short taxi ride from town and we had no problem booking one both there and back for a meal out in Ludlow. The price was a lot better than town centre hotels and had the advantage of a countryside setting.

Beautiful location, friendly, helpful staff, very relaxed vibe. Dog was made very welcome. Lovely comfy beds. Delicious meal in the restaurant. Spa was amazing.

Big dusty cobwebs in the bathroom. Very hot rooms (even on slightly cooler days) and the windows didn't open very far; there was a fan, but it was so noisy that it was not usable. Our daughter had a better ac tower in her room. If we had been there longer, I would have asked for a better fan, but we only stayed one night.
