Lovely location right by the river . Staff were great - all very friendly and helpful . We had breakfast and an evening meal - both were very good . The room was very clean and nicely decorated . The rooms had different facilities and layout so if certain things are important to you it may be worth ringing the hotel to check what facilities you have - we stayed with friends and their room had a fridge ,but ours didn’t. We had really good air con ( which was great) but they didn’t and said their room was too hot. We stayed in room 10 and it was lovely but it had lots of low beams in the bathroom and above the bed so this could be an issue if you are quite tall . Overall though we really enjoyed our stay- Ludlow is a lovely place to visit.

The low beams in the room were a bit of an issue so may be worth avoiding those rooms in you are tall( or accident prone like me !)

Everything about our stay was wonderful. We loved the room we were given which was spacious and had a private balcony overlooking the River Teme. The bed was very comfy and cosy, as well as the pillows - there was a choice of two thicknesses. We ate our evening meal on the rooftop deck and I don't exaggerate when I say the pork belly was the tastiest I've ever eaten! Breakfast was included in our price so we were seated at the window, again overlooking the river. The table was laid so nicely with an array of jams and marmalades, a jug of milk and a jug of orange juice. There were cereals and toast plus a choice of cooked breakfasts - ours was the full English breakfast which was superb. All staff were friendly and professional. We'd love to stay again one day as we can not fault the place.

There's nothing to dislike.

The hotel location is by a river, which you can see from the bar and the restaurant. So always something to watch on the water, Ludlow is a bit hilly but lovely to walk around, lots of interesting building and walks in the town or in the surrounding countryside. It also has a large car park attached to the hotel. There was a lot of choice for dinner and a range of prices. Breakfast again had good choices on the cooked menu, but there was also a selection of cereal, nuts, fruit and yogurt as well. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. We were in the Tempest room, it had a terrace and fab views across the river. All the rooms are different and have different facilities.

I thought it was lovely, so nothing to dislike.

Room small but fine for 3 nights but that was our choice, other larger rooms are available. Lovely to have fridge, kettle and coffee machine. You can alter the heating to what you prefer. Lovely water pressure for shower which had a good selection of toiletries. Fabulous views of town and river. Good choice of freshly cooked breakfast and quality cereals and condiments. Dinner available and food was lovely. They offer a discount to eat at the sister hotel of The Church Inn and the restaurant there is excellent which has a great atmosphere and good selection of well presented tasty dishes. The staff at both places were attentive and efficient. Free car park with plenty of spaces. Location is good for exploring Ludlow.

All great but be aware it’s a steep walk into the town.

The hotel was beautiful, with views over the river. The property was clean, easy to navigate and decorated well. The Tempest room we were located in was beautiful and had a small balcony overlooking the river which was an absolute delight. The tea and coffee in the room was good quality and plentiful and the included breakfast was fresh and good quality.

The car park was somewhat tricky to navigate when very full but I am conscious that it is a consequence of the geography in the area. The bathroom in our room did not have a shower connected to a wall, only a handheld shower head and the roof angle did hamper standing up in the bath. Whilst this was fine for myself and my husband an older couple might not navigate the bathroom well.

Very pleasant staff throughout the Hotel, lovely breakfast both mornings, had one evening meal which was good, only had a burger myself so not much to compare, my wife had the chef chicken which she thoroughly enjoyed, pity there was no shower in our room, but should of checked the description a bit better as it was noted that only a bath available on that room, the bar area was nice in the evening, my only disappointment was that when checking out there was no mention if we enjoyed our stay or if everything was fine, there were some issues so we never had the opportunity to say so , I.e fan in bathroom not working, corridor light on all night and having to put pillows at the bottom of the door to darken the room, not a big issue ...we will be back when next in Ludlow..

Communication before hand was kind and thoughtful. A table for dinner was reserved for us in case we needed it (there was not pressure to make a decision before we arrived, it was just reserved so we didn't miss out - in the end our plans evolved so we did take up the option to have dinner at the hotel and we were glad we did because it was delicious). The location, is ideal. It is beside the river in a beautiful setting but only a 5 minute walk from the centre of Ludlow The welcome - very friendly and helpful The room - it is a old building with lots of nooks and crannies but in our room they were use to their best advantage resulting in a large spacious room and an incredible en-suite The breakfast - the range of hot and continental options was more than enough. A guest at the next table was gluten free and it was lovely hear the waitress being very thorough and helpful with the various items suitable to that guest. The staff - everyone was so lovely :-)

That we couldn't stay for more than one night!

Great location in Ludlow and next to the river. Good and interesting food. Comfortable bedrooms Good local beer!

The person who booked us in and served our table for dinner could benefit from some customer care training. Not rude, but no smile, no welcome and just neutral. I had mentioned when booking the table for us and two guests who live locally that it was a birthday for one of the party. Some restaurants would have made something of this with something extra. This evening experience contrasts with the lady at breakfast who was delightful and exemplary. Sorry - but you did ask!

Very nice hotel, great location, excellent food and service. The terrace at the top of the hotel and the dining room has lovely views over the river Teme. The service was excellent and the staff were friendly, organised and efficient.

This is not the hotel’s fault but we visited on a very hot day, the rooms at the top of the hotel were hot. There was air conditioning, but in our room the unit was a little too noisy to sleep through. It’s a small thing, the room was lovely and the bed fantastically comfortable.

The room (number 10) was very clean and comfortable. There was plenty of storage space and the bathroom was large with space for all our toiletries. Breakfast was limited but very good. The location was excellent with views over the river.

Our room was on the top floor and had a sloping ceiling which could have been awkward. The only problem was the shower: the shower itself was good but there was no shelf to put shampoo and soap on so that you had to put them on t;he floor.
