Great location just outside the town. An easy walk with great views of Ludlow Castle on the way. Lovely and quiet location. The entrance and Reception/ bar is light and comfortable and welcoming . The food was really nice for dinner and breakfast. Really large and comfortable bed.

Our room and bathroom were spacious enough and very clean and we had everything we needed provided. The bathroom was a bit difficult to manoeuvre inasmuch as we just had a bath with shower head arrangement and due to the sloping ceiling above the taps it was not possible to have the shower head secured above for showering. It was rather awkward and difficult to avoid getting the floor wet! We appreciate the design and shape of the bathroom would be difficult to change but it would be much better if you could! We should have been advised before of the layout as we are fairly elderly but mobile. Other guests may struggle.

The evening dinner was excellent - well prepared and the wine list was reasonably priced. The staff were extremely efficient and friendly and couldn't do enough to help us. Great location looking out to the Castle and a short stroll into town or along the river. Very peaceful and relaxing.

Breakfasts were tasty but a little disappointing as the Cliffe prides itself being a restaurant with rooms. For example, there was no possibility of ordering any combination of items outside the set menu options and the plates were a little nuked but that's a small comment. Overall excellent. Decor wise, the room we stayed in had been freshly repainted but it did still feel a little tired and could possibly do with a little makeover that wouldn't cost a fortune but could make a big difference.

quietest hotel I have ever been in, suited us perfectly. room almost perfect, the meals were exemplary. car park excellent, staff brilliant.

As I said, almost perfect. our room was cold, cold even for me, which is unusual for me to feel that way. the lack of heating made the room almost feel damp, though it was dry. we did suspect the heating may be switched on, a little later in the year. the only other negative, was the TV had an intermittent fault, which meant it kept losing the signal.

Quiet location but walking distance to the town. Nice views.

The facilities were not great in the hotel. Bar closed at 7.30pm on first evening, probably due to it being the day after the bank holiday. The following evening it was open later with a very pleasant lady at reception. The ceilings in the room were low and sloping due to it being up in the roof space. This resulted in a few bumps on the head as we are tall people. Ask for a room on ground or first floor if booking. Bathroom was really tiny.

Everything was excellent, the location was great and close to the town centre, the staff were helpful and answered all our questions, the room was spacious, and the bathroom was clean. The hotel had its own parking.

The breakfast was not a buffet, so the choice was limited, though they had an English breakfast and a selection of toast and starters. My only very minor complaint is the size and thickness of the pillow, but it is quite personal, so others may find it perfect.

Every aspect of the Cliffe was spot on. Our meal in the restaurant was excellent. Breakfast was lovely. The staff were all really pleasant, polite and friendly. Our room was comfortable, clean with all the amenities we needed. Couldn't fault it at all. The location of the Cliffe was wonderful. Surrounded by beautiful countryside and views. It took us less than 10 minutes to walk into Ludlow Town and Castle. The scenery was breath taking.

The hotel was in a great location so you could easily walk into Ludlow. The room was a decent size with a bed settee. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits were provided. The bed was very comfy ensuring a good nights sleep. Bathroom was spacious with toiletries provided and a shower over the bath. We had a nice view over the allotments. There was a good selection of both hot and cold food at breakfast. We had a meal on the first night and that was excellent. The staff were very friendly and check in and out was very quick and efficiently done. The weather was brilliant when we were there so it was lovely to sit on the terrace with our drinks and enjoy the sunshine.

The only small thing that I would change would be the positioning of the mirror in the bedroom. It was right in front of the wardrobe so if you were drying your hair or applying make up you were in the way of the other person wanting access to the wardrobe or bathroom.

I thought the breakfast was nice .it was on a time slot so they were pretty organised. One of the days I had the cereal breakfast.but I’ve got to say I do like cereal to start with and then more breakfast options. But i so pose one or the other keeps the cost down .

100% the bed the mattress and pillows were not comfortable at all .i was really disappointed in that .maybe a suggestion if the cost of getting new beds would be to much getting good quality mattress toppers would make a mound of difference. We slept really bad on both days . Which is a shame when you look forward to your break .

Generally, everything was exceptionally good. As a coeliac, I have many problems regarding food, and would like to recommend a small toaster for breakfast, that can be kept away from any contamination issues, and easily marked, for when it is needed. The evening meals were lovely. Our room was up two floors, and small, but that was down to late booking! On the whole, I would highly recommend The Cliffe.

As stated above, a slight problem with separately grilling my toast, especially when the grill is very hot, virtually impossible with gluten free bread !

Evening meal was excellent and beautifully presented Room was of a good standard with nice views of countryside and the castle in the distance Room Was surprisingly quiet considering top of the stairs . Short walk into town over the bridge very peaceful location

Shower was not the best kept changing temperature from hot to freezing cold no consistency ( mentioned it to lady on the evening shift who was aware there was pressure issues in room 1 she said she would leave a note )
