Stayed at Riverside Inn the night before and the night of a family wedding here - we were very late checking in as travel was longer than expected but the team were able to accommodate this and kept me updated of how to enter the property & location of my keys via calls & text which we were really grateful of. The site also has x2 electric chargers which were unexpected but a welcome sight! We were in the main building and the room was lovely, very comfortable bed, plenty of space & storage, even the tea and coffee provided were such good quality! Very happy :) Also so happy with breakfast both mornings. I think the thing that made our stay even better though was the whole team, but special mention to George, the attentiveness of the team for the whole day, the arrival drinks, the wedding food and evening in the bar was great!

Very spacious, had the stables suite, lovely and warm, loved the extra touches, flapjack, milk, water and toiletries, bedding and towels pristine white, feather pillows and quilt very comfortable, shower hot, staff very friendly and obliging, arrived early no issues, breakfast was good, unfortunately didn't stay for evening meal but food looked amazing as had family arrangements, would definitely recommend the Riverside and would stay again.

You be hard pressed to find much wrong with this stay, just one little thing would like a table and chairs outside the room a little private outside space like the other rooms, would be an improvement.

We had an exceptional stay at the Riverside Inn in December on our visit to Ludlow and the surrounding area. Our stay in one of the garden lodges was delightful; the lodge was clean, bright and well-equipped and we had a fabulous nights sleep. The location is stunning, and we truly appreciated their commitment to sustainability and ethical sourcing. The breakfast was a highlight, especially the beans, and we enjoyed dinner on both evenings so we could try out as many of the menu items as possible! The food and hospitality were among the best we've experienced in recent years.

Nothing bad to report. We loved everything and would love to visit again on our next trip over that way!

The breakfast we had was exceptional, exceeded our expectations in terms of quality and taste by quite a lot. The bed was very comfortable and fell asleep almost as soon as I entered the room. The room came with complimentary Flap Jacks which I thought was a nice touch to the overall service and the toilet was very clean and well kept.

I got charged an extra £12 because I ordered an extra French Toast at breakfast which I thought it was included as part of the breakfast provided. This wasn't disclosed to me until checkout. It did taste really good though. Would do it again.

We had a brilliant stay at the Riverside Inn. The Inn is full of character, situated on the banks of the River Lugg where you can sit by the river for a drink and watch the kingfishers fly past. It is surrounded by beautiful walks through ancient woodland with some of the largest oak trees you'll ever see! Our room was a really good size double, complete with 2 armchairs and a mini fridge. The food is incredible, full of fresh seasonal herbs and vegetables grown on site in their small holding. We are both vegan and one of us gluten free but this was absolutely no problem at all for the staff. They catered for our needs without any fuss at all. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. This is a fabulous place to stay and we will definitely come back with our doggo!

There was nothing we did not like only that we had to go home

A warm welcome on arrival. We had asked for packed lunches for our walk on the Sunday and before we checked to see if they were ready/had they remembered, George (the owner) happily confirmed that the hearty sandwiches and a few extras for our long walk was ready to collect! A really tasty breakfast and dinner menu - seasonal ingredients, something for everyone. The roast chicken was succulent and the cauliflower cheese tasted of cheese AND cauliflower, rather than floury-goop as sometimes served in other gastro pubs. Decent sized portions too - not too large, not too stingy. I would happily recommend this place to everyone - whether stopping just for lunch or staying the night. Lovely friendly staff.

Sunday "lunch" at 6pm was excellent and the staff were exceptionally pleasant especially George, the manager. Room was warm and comfy with a great shower and set in a pretty terraced garden. The River Lugg flows by and there are tables to sit at and enjoy watching the water over a glass of something. Breakfast included some of the tastiest marmalade I have ever eaten. All in all an excellent inn and very good value for money.

On the side dishes at dinner, roasted roots might have been preferable to roast potatoes which get hard after a few hours of keeping warm but readers will realise that I'm struggling to find anything I didn't like!

We stayed in the garden king ensuite (Beechenbank) and it was perfect. I loved the bath (a main reason for booking that particular room) and the bed was so comfortable. Everyone who looked after us in the hotel and restaurant were lovely and made us feel at home. The meal we had was one of the best I've had in a really long time; we stayed on a Sunday night so had the roast dinner - my celeriac main was beautiful and fresh and my partner went for chicken which was the most tender and delicious chicken I've ever tasted! For pudding I had to go for the blue cheese ice cream which was absolutely amazing. I enjoyed it so much. We had a fabulous time at this gorgeous inn and hope to be back again before too long.

N/a - it was perfect.

Superb shower in ensuite, and good selection of teas and coffees in the room. Excellent breakfast. Nice that you have automatically got a dinner reservation in the restaurant, and that more vegetarian options were offered in addition to what was on the menu when we mentioned we were veggie.

A vegetarian option for the full English on the breakfast menu would have been nice, although it might have been available if we had asked. The mini-fridge in the room kept switching on to cool throughout the night which was a little disturbing, might have been quiter if it was in a cupboard? Also we could only find one available plug socket to use, I know there was a USB charger there but that's no good for hairdryers/straighteners, etc.

Everything was excellent! We received a warm welcome on arrival, and our room was ready for us much earlier than expected. The location is excellent, we dropped our bags and went straight out on a big circular walk from the Inn, around Croft Castle. Great pub, nice fire, excellent local beer and a lovely atmosphere. Our evening meal was of exceptional standard with a comprehensive and well-priced wine list to choose from. Our room was spacious and comfortable with nice big towels, good water pressure, a comfortable bed etc etc. George runs a tight ship in the front of house, and this is reflected in all aspects of the Inn's hospitality.

I think the ambience in the pub/ dining room could be improved with a slightly more curated playlist, but I'm clutching at straws and that's really the only thing I could mention here - great experience overall!
