Very friendly and helpful staff, excellent value for money for both accommodation and food, restaurant food is standard pub fare but we'll cooked (excellent chips). The unbelievable history of this property is highlighted in the welcome pack and well worth the stay just for this.

Would have liked a few restaurant dishes on the menu and an option of a cooked breakfast, some better wines also. Struggled to get anything better than warm water.

Lovely old building with its own car parking at the rear. Our room was spacious and comfortable with everything we needed. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful and made our all too brief stay feel like we were amongst friends.

The buffet breakfast was lovely but a cooked breakfast option would have been better, even the option of porridge would have been a nice addition.

A fabulous location and really lovely friendly staff. We stayed across the road in a one bedroom apartment- it was clean and provided everything needed. The breakfast was basic but adequate to start the day.

stayed in the Radnorshire Arms for 3 nights.We were originally allocated a room on the top floor of the main building but when it was noticed I was walking with a stick Martin brought us bk to the reception and upgraded us to a garden suite(free of charge) which I thought was a really nice gesture. The room was large with a 2 seater sofa and a large smart tv on the wall . the bed was large and very comfortable, the bathroom was a large wet room as opposed to having a shower cubicle which made showering easier, there was a small kitchen area with a fridge, microwave and tea and coffee making facilities . We ate in the restaurant on Friday evening and the food and service was excellent and we were invited to join a large group booked in for a carvery which again was cooked to perfection. You may of noticed I missed out Saturday well thats because we were at a wedding all day .

the only downside of this stay is that the hotel only provides continental breakfasts and t would of been so much better if the hotel had provided a choice of cooked breakfasts .

Beautiful rooms, all very spacious. Bathrooms were clean and the bath was long enough for tall people to relax comfortably. Very comfortable beds Staff went out of their way to ensure everyone was well looked after.

Breakfast was rather basic.

It was a cold buffet style breakfast. There was plenty of choice, cereal, toast, cold meats and cheeses, jams, croissants, fruit salad, tea ,coffee, fruit juices, yoghurts etc. The hotel itself was a very interesting building. We loved reading about the history. The residents lounge was nice and cool during the heatwave and had an old priests hole. The evening meal was really good, lovely food, friendly staff and a great price.

At breakfast not everything was labelled. For instance, there were three jugs of juice, two were an orangish colour but not the same. As I wasn't sure what they were I stuck to the obvious apple juice. In our room we couldn't open the window; there was a fan supplied but it was still very stuffy. Also there were discoloured areas on the walls which indicated damp problems. It is a beautiful old historic building so I suppose this is hard to prevent . It would not be enough to stop me staying again.

This old world hotel was a delightful place to stay. Despite it being the town's festival weekend and very busy, we were welcomed, taken care of and felt the staff remembered who we were and wanted us to have a great stay. We ate an excellent evening meal in the dining room and breakfast was all we could have wished for. A private free car park is provided with plenty of spaces. This is an old character hotel so don't expect glitzy modern features but it has everything you need for a comfortable stay, even a guest lounge with comfortable couches and great friendly staff.

The stair cases are very narrow and steep if, like us, you are on the top floor. If this would be an issue, request a lower floor room when booking. They would have been happy to change our room when we arrived but they were fully booked. We didn't find it a problem and we are 80 and 76 but those with mobility issues perhaps would.

The property is an iconic and historic property with a Tudor facade dating back to the mid 1500s I believe. The bedroom in the hotel was of a good size with a good en suite inc jacuzzi/ bath. The bar area and restaurant were all wood panelled and exuded a great atmosphere. I can imagine log fires in the winter creating a great ambience. The food in the evening was pub / grub style but none the worse for that , I had an excellent rump steak @£16-95 so very competitive pricing as well. I would make the decision stay again in a flash . The room rate of £90 inc breakfast was excellent value.

The only minor downside was that breakfast was continental only .

We received a very warm welcome from Martin and his team. For a very old building it was lovely and warm. There was a minor fault in our room so we were moved immediately - and upgraded - without being made to feel a nuisance. The continental breakfast had a good selection of cereals, fresh fruit, meats, cheeses, bread and yogurts. Evening meals were freshly cooked, reasonably priced and delicious. The garden was a perfect setting for an afternoon drink. The hotel ( with free parking) is very convenient for Presteigne and the surrounding area.

Really can't think of anything

The room was comfortable (eg two armchairs), quiet, and with plenty of cupboard space and enough hangers. The bathroom was clean with a good bath and shower. The tea/coffee supplies in the room were topped up after our first night - that doesn't always happen in hotels. The continental breakfast was ok but not extraordinary - at least it was included in the already reasonable price of the room.

It took us a while to find the hotel and its car park. Better signage on the approach to the town might be useful.
