The room was beautiful 😍 The room had a fan which I was super glad of as it was a hot day. Clean, airy, very nice bathroom. Good shower 🚿 very quiet location. Tony and Wendy are very hospitable, very friendly hosts. The food was very very good 👍 They catered for all my allergies and I was super grateful 🙏 as I've got a few and it can be tricky at some establishments. Thank you 😊

The shower leaked slightly out of the screen but luckily I managed to mop it up. Apart from that, there was nothing I didn't like. I wouldn't say I didn't like , was bit worried is all!

Good location on bus route to Hay for the festival (7 miles). Nice, friendly, helpful staff.

Only slight criticism: room was very cold in unseasonally cold weather (central heating was off), but the duvet was good, so not a problem once one was in bed. And, another minor criticism: the voices of the couple next door were quite loud, i.e. the wall was not very soundproof.

Lovely bright, very clean, modern and comfortable rooms. Hairdryer, tea and coffee were a nice touch. Very friendly, helpful owners and had a lovely evening meal with great gluten free options. Breakfast was delicious. You could choose a cooked option as well as cereal, yoghurt and juice. Thank you for a lovely stay. 5 stars!

Everything was just as we like, rooms very spacious & well equipped, also clean and modern. The breakfast was absolutely beautiful & they even had a vegetarian option 🙂. We would definitely stay here again if in that neck of the woods! The hosts were extremely hospitable and polite, chatted to us for a while too 😁.

Maybe the outside of the building could give you a false impression on first sight, however you couldn't be more wrong as this place was fantastic!

The dinner and the breakfast were delicious. The location was great - the town was charming - and the walk along the Wye River was lovely. Our hosts, Tony and Wendy were very friendly and helpful - helping us find accomodations in Snowdonia for the following day. We would definitely return if we are in the area again.

Comfortable room, light and airy. Modern bathroom. Good breakfast choice. Loads of parking. Friendly staff. Very peaceful countryside setting.

Was rather expensive, usual price for the room doubled because it was Hay Book Festival. I get the logic of it, but felt it wasn't really worth what we paid.

The lovely spacious clean and well presented bedroom with clean comfy bed and lovely bathroom. Very friendly welcome with good food in the evening and for breakfast

Noise from the air conditioning unit was slightly annoying

Beautifully decorated and comfortable room with a shower, flat screen TV and a kettle. The bar area is very cosy with a log fire and rustic log beams. We opted to have an evening meal which was well presented and delicious. The location is very peaceful at night and we didn't hear any noise from the bar. Breakfast is a traditional breakfast which was delicious and a great start to the day. All in all this is an exceptional accommodation, excellent value for money and we can highly recommend it.

Peaceful, clean, excellent food and Tony and Wendy’s hospitality was fabulous. It was lovely chatting to locals and others staying at the Sun Inn and surrounds. We were well catered for (Tony’s cooking is amazing) and looked after.

The Sun Inn was fantastic and the Landlord and Landlady could not do enough for us. The evening meal was fantastic, the rooms were spotless, well appointed, modern and very high standard fixtures and fittings. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows and bedding were all top class. we had copious free parking. The pub itself was very welcoming, lovely locals, fantastic selection of real ales, lagers, ciders, wine and spirits. As we had an early registration with the canoe centre at Glasbury we asked if we could have an earlier breakfast. This was no trouble at all. The cooked breakfast was off the scale amazing. Locally produced food, cooked beautifully, hot and delicious. Plenty for six hungry men. Loads of tea, coffee, juice, cereal, toast and preserves. We were made to feel so welcome and were looked after completely.
