Unpretentious place. Lovely, warm hosts. Felt very welcome. Massive, tasty breakfast both days and I liked that you could “build your own” as it was listed by item. Veggie options (and some of those would be fine for vegans). My room was a superior one and obviously paid for that but I loved it - it was so spacious, including bathroom, and had a really nice view over the village and greenery beyond. It was spotless. Bed really comfy - I’d a great sleep and I’m not even a great sleeper! Shower super-powerful. If I was on Four in a Bed, I’d circle “yes”!

Nothing that spoiled my stay or wouldn’t make me stay again.

Spacious clean comfortable room that had all we needed for our short break. Good controllable shower. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Lovely selection of reading material- we especially liked the book on Talgarth- then and now. Breakfasts well cooked and set us up for the day. Parking on site was easy while we were there. We had a lovely walk from the hotel to Y Grib and found plenty to do in the local area.

Nothing to dislike and we would happily stay here again.

Pip and Jan are lovely people. The breakfasts were delicious, the room was very clean (as was the rest of the hotel), comfortable and quiet. Talgarth was a peaceful town, perfectly situated for the places I needed to get to and there was a good little Gurkha restaurant about 5 mins walk away for evening meals as well as a standard pub and the usual takeaway outlets all within walking distance. No need to ask if I would use again because I already have before submitting this review.

Well situated hotel with spectacular walks right from the doorstep suitable for all abilities. Lovingly restored we had a genuinely warm welcome from Jan and Pip, who had completed the restoration themselves. Huge room, with great views of the surrounding hill country. Hearty breakfast variable to suit all tastes. Highly reccommended 🙏

The hotel is made up of three wings. Two have been beautifully renovated. When we arrived we mistook the rear unrenovated wing for the entrance. The front has a spacious car park and is very welcoming.

Absolutely everything. We were warmly greeted by the fantastic owners. Breakfast was lovely and cooked freshly to order. The room and hotel was immaculately clean. The beds, oh my!! The best mattress I've ever slept on. We will be back again. Such a lovely hotel in a lovely little square with some really nice places to eat on the doorstep. Thank you so much for a lovely 3 nights in your beautiful hotel.

Location quiet with plenty of parking- owner/staff attentive without being intrusive - owner helpful and friendly and full Welsh breakfast excellent- all in all a pleasant stay and good value for money

Nothing to dislike - a quiet location in a small mid wales town surrounded by beautiful welsh mountains, rolling hills and countryside

Breakfast was lovely and service brilliant. Staff fantastic and very helpful. Room was good size and kettle/cups etc easy to use with plenty of space. Single wardrobe in a double room was a little surprising but enough. Shower was a good size and water hot enough. Room service came in from 11am and a nice touch in these days when post-covid means there is usually no room service until you leave. Fabulous couple who run this hotel - not your usual bland place but full of character. Great location right in the middle of the village which was lovely.

There was a tiny television in the room with a Free Sat box that was difficult to navigate - even for someone with an IT degree! It is nice to watch the news in a morning and evening for a few minutes and I am used to hotels with more modern televisions. Not actually a complaint but a minor point to raise the experience from great to excellent.

I was delighted to be welcomed warmly by Jan and put in a recently modernised room with en suite. The location was excellent as Talgarth is a small picturesque town well placed for roads to Llangorse Lake, Hay on Wye, Brecon, Abergavenny and places further afield. Pip's breakfast was indulgent so I entered the holiday spirit and abandoned my well-intentioned weight management programme temporarily! I wasn't looking for a traditional 5 star establishment but I found an honest, spotless and comfortable hotel run by friendly hosts - nothing to dislike there! Diolch yn fawr Jan and Pip, thank you very much.

The tv wasn't easy to work so a quick tutorial would be useful for guests.

Situation of hotel, views from room. Clean, fresh, and big room. Comfy bed. Thoughtful touches: water, biscuits, etc. Ample parking parking at the hotel. Pip and Jan were brilliant hosts.

Not having somewhere to eat in the evening, which was more local.

Tower Hotel is excellent very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is very good home cook good menu and catered for everyone needs. You can choose whatever you like at the breakfast menu. The host very pleasantnand accommodating. I recommend this hotel. Nice location 👌
