An amazing stay at the Mount Street House, from start to finish the owners were welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are done to a high standard and the beds very comfy. The morning breakfast is quality with local produce which was amazing and I highly recommend the porridge and the scrambled eggs. I would recommend this beautifully run B&B to anyone, couples, family's and friends. A big thank you to them for making our 3 day trip a great experience. A**********

nothing at all to not like all was perfect.

We were a little late for check in due to Friday traffic but this was no problem with the owners who were very understanding. Incredibly comfortable room to relax in after spending the days on some stunning walks. Although no on-site parking we had no problem parking just round the corner for free. I have visited Brecon many times but can’t remember a more comfortable stay, will definitely be returning. Thank you to Nigel and Myfanwy!

Leaving to go back to work after a great weekend.

This was an amazing stay. The house was beautifully decorated and our room was spacious and had everything we needed. Our bathroom was huge and had a heated towel rail and an amazing bath. The drinks and snacks that were provided were a real treat. The breakfast was extremely tasty and made perfectly to our requests. Myfanwy was so helpful and text us with any information we needed. It was one if the friendliest and nivest places wr have stayed. They thought of everything we needed and more.

The room was clean/comfortable/spacious good size bathroom. Lots of hanging space for clothes. Friendly welcome. Host was chatty but not intrusive. Fabulous breakfast. Good complimentary tea/coffee selection and toiletries.

The only thing I thought was missing was maybe put a stool in front of the mirror where the plug was so you could sit and do your hair put makeup on as the chairs were too low. But that didn't spoil my stay.

Fantastic breakfast. Excellent quality of food , well presented and very ample quantity provided.Very comfortable tastefully furnished breakfast room. Owners really helpful and friendly. Perfect location, quiet road yet just a few minutes walk from the town centre. Definitely want to stay again in the future, ideal accomodation choice for us for our short break.

Lovely little hotel that is situated just a stones throw from city centre but also very quiet because it is not on the busy road. However, there's a school just in front of the hotel so it might be bit busy and noisy during the week (we stayed on the weekend). Very clean and comfortable :) Very nice cooked vegetarian full English breakfast but no vegan option unless you'd like to eat seasonal fruits or toast with jam/marmite but there was sachets of oat milk in our room, which was a nice surprise.

The only thing that I didn't like was the design choices for room/breakfast room. The hotel is in the old historic building and there's some original features left like wooden beams, fireplace (only decorative though) so the choice of colours for the walls (pink and baby blue for example) or glittery mirrors were an interesting choice (not in a good way). A bit kitschy for my liking. Also, there weren't space in the bathroom where to put my cosmetics/etc.

Great location, friendly staff, lovely room, delicious breakfast. They had very generously left us a bottle of Prosecco for our 20th wedding anniversary, which was a very kind touch. Also, allowed us to borrow their OS maps when we realised ours were the wrong scale.

I know it is a B&B, not a hotel, but as an extra touch, as we were there for 3 nights, it would have been nice for our mugs and water glasses to have been changed each day and the bin emptied. We washed them in the bathroom sink and know the very friendly staff would have done it had we asked, but the first day we thought it was an oversight and by the second day we didn’t bother asking as we were leaving the next day. It is a really small thing, so not being negative - just a suggestion for guests who stay more than one night.😊

The breakfast table was beautifully organised and presented. Cooking was excellent. Loved strong tea. Local products and lots of choice.

Parking close by locally difficult. For us, bed and pillows a little soft but know that we like firm mattress and pillows so understand it’s tough to get the balance right for everyone.

We had an excellent stay at Mount Street House, where we had stayed before and would certainly stay again. Nigel, Myfanwy and staff were extremely hospitable and very willing to respond to our requests. The room was beautiful and the breakfast delicious. The House is also in a very central position in Brecon

Lots of different options to choose from for breakfast and generous portions. Mount House was very clean, spacious and homely. Myfanwy was very helpful with any questions which we had. We were not concerned that the rooms were not next to each other as not necessary with teenagers. Our hosts did let us know prior to our arrival that the rooms were on a different floor.
