Hotel was easy to find and had dedicated parking for guests, which was a bonus. Warm welcome, room was as described, everything very clean, free toiletries in bathroom was a nice touch. Booked dinner in the hotel on arrival and have to say we were very impressed. Service was good and food excellent, the usual "pub food" favourites with different choices thrown in. (Vegetable wellington was great!) The main thing we liked were the staff who went over and above to accommodate us - nothing was too much trouble, including providing plates and cutlery for our son who arrived very late with a takeaway!

My 6 year old daughter and I had an excellent stay at this hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our visit, which made a big difference. The bed was extremely comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep, and the breakfast was of very good quality with a nice selection to choose from. Although the room wasn’t the biggest, it was very comfortable and had plenty of storage space, which made it feel just right for our needs. Overall, a very enjoyable stay— We would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to returning in the future!

Had a really great stay at this hotel. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful without being over the top, which made the whole experience feel easy and relaxed. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The bed was super cozy, and it was nice to come back to a quiet space after a long day out. You can tell they pay attention to the little details. One definite highlight was the on-site steakhouse—absolutely fantastic. The food was top quality, cooked perfectly, and the service there was just as good as the rest of the hotel. All in all, I’d happily stay here again and would definitely recommend it. It just made the trip that little bit better.

This is an ideal location offering great value for money for anyone walking Offa's Dyke Path. The staff could not have been more helpful offering my friend and I a pint of beer after a long days walk before even checking in. Then put our walking boots somewhere warm to dry out then presenting them back to us the following morning at breakfast. The rooms were quite spacious with a good strong shower. The food in the restuarant was wholesome and filling at a good price. A hearty breakfast finished off a great stay. I would easily recommend it.

The warm & friendly welcome😃 The room was lovely, clean & tidy. The tasty, freshly cooked breakfast & wonderful service, thankyou👍The building is gorgeous. Wish we could have had more time to appreciate it. However, we were only there for 1 night. There is a handy car park & on street parking in the square, if the hotel car park is full.
The bed was a little too soft for our liking. Obviously, this is personal taste. The shower room is in need of a little attention, just being picky really🙂 However, his would not put us off returning in the future

The staff were very friendly and happy to help with anything. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast (and a meal in the restaurant) was good. There was parking for residents.
The twin room was small, with only 1 bedside table - however a suitcase stool was provided after the first night. The bathroom had no towel rail or shelf for toiletries. There was an issue with the plumbing which was not resolved during our stay, although a plumber had been called by the time we left.

when Offa laid out the dyke he must have had a break at Kington about where the Swan Hotel is located as it seems to be a naturally nice place to stay, you are made welcome, you can sit anywhere you like and eat and drink thanks to a splendid bar and varied menu with plenty of local choices, if Ruth and Alice look after you you will be spoilt and not wish to leave
Wish the Swan was in our Suffolk village

We were made to feel so comfortable and at home by the lovely team at the Swan. The rooms, downstairs indoor and outdoor areas, are fabulous. The food was exceptional! We were fortunate to be able to enjoy the breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus. Can't wait to come back.
There was absolutely nothing I could fault this lovely hotel, pub, and restaurant on.

The very friendly and helpful staff. A very good base to explore more of the area. The food was great and as the restaurant is closed on a Sunday evening they let us bring in a takeaway meal and eat in in the restaurant.
Nothing that would stop us visiting again, the only slight concerns were that our room was looking a little tired and could be improved with a paint freshen up, supplying a long mirror and perhaps another bedside table.

Nicely refurbished pub/bed & breakfast facility. Really great beers on tap at low prices that we Londoners could not comprehend. Excellent staff and very friendly locals sharing the bar with us. The breakfast was local produce, high quality, and nothing was too much trouble for four of us all with different requests.
The chef was off-duty so not food on the Tuesday evening but not really an issue as we went to an excellent local Thai cafe where the food was freshly cooked.
