Breakfast was beautifully presented and cooked to perfection for us. The location was gorgeous surrounded by trees and fields, great for connecting to nature and ourselves. The bed was huge in our superior room. The hotel exterior is very well maintained as are the grounds. We enjoyed our stay so much we added another day onto our visit. The staff were fabulous, efficient and all our needs were met, thank you to Amey on reception, Hayley on the bar along with Jess. The girls on breakfast duty were amazing they had their work cut out at every breakfast sitting. Every member of the team we came into contact with were polite, very accommodating and extremely hard working. What a great team they have.

Some of the decoration in the communal areas needed a touch up. As did some areas in our room, however saying this it did not put us off as all areas were clean and tidy no clutter, the hotel has a very welcoming feel to it.We had a really great stay.

Location was lovely with beautiful views across the fields from our room. Plenty of parking. Fresh milk in the room fridge was a nice touch as was the coffee maker. Efficient shower and plenty of hot water. Meals were beautifully cooked and presented. Everything served hot and the coffee at breakfast was lovely.

The duvet was lumpy where it had been washed and the filling had clumped together. The breakfast juices frequently ran out and were not replenished unless requested. There were no condiments available. Salt, pepper and sauces had to be fetched from the kitchen everytime requested.

Super clean and comfortable. The bed and bathroom were great. The hotel is set in a beautiful place. Staff is nice.

We waited 45 minutes to be served at the restaurant. We were also disappointed with the spa... or lack thereof! We booked this hotel in particular because of the spa, to relax after a few days spent hicking around Wales, but we found out on our arrival that it was closed. There was no mention of it before our arrival, especially not upon booking, and no mention before we actually asked, a few minutes after check-in. No explanation offered, just "sorry, it's closed, unfortunately." Not the end of the world, but what a shame when the place is advertised as a hotel&spa!

The view was amazing from the spa and hotel. The room was clean spacious and had a huge bath and shower in the ensure. There were biscuits in the room and all the tea, coffee and milk available. The creams in the bathrooms smelt lovely. Will definitely come back.

The staff were lovely, but I noticed one member of staff did not understand what I was saying. I think it was a language barrier. Therefor we did not get the Contintal breakfast, which we was looking forward to and lots of mistakes were made such as getting wrong juices and not being able to ask for sole things like pepper. We gave up in the end waiting for the Contintal breakfast, the full English was amazing. All the other staff worked very hard to look after us and were welcoming.

Exceptional staff made the whole stay excellent. From the genuine welcome, spacious room with lightweight duvets, comfortable beds, roomy shower, wonderful flavours and presentation of our evening meal, wide-ranging wine list, fresh milk in the mini-bar, special local breakfast choices, and well-maintained garden.

We're of an age to have experienced many good hotels but we were unable to fault this one. After much thought, we think the lawn in front of the spa should not be used as a 'dog exercise' area.

Nice room, big bed, excellent bathroom facilities.

Breakfast service was unbelievably slow on both Sunday and Monday. On Monday the full English breakfast was short of the mushrooms - not critical, but if they're advertised......... The breakfast took so long to come I didn't want to add another delay. The food was very good, once it finally arrived. I asked to book for dinner on Sunday when we arrived and the receptionist took the booking. On Sunday when confirming in the morning, it transpired that the booking had been made for Saturday night (we were elsewhere so presumably the restaurant wondered where we were when we didn't turn up) and in fact the restaurant wasn't open on Sunday so we then had to make alternative arrangements.

The location was wonderful with sweeping views of the Cotswolds stunning countryside. Quiet location and plenty of free safe parking. Only 5minutes by car into the centre of Ludlow. Bed comfortable and beautiful furnishings in the rooms and rest of hotel. Spa was very good.

A few minor points at breakfast but it all added to the charming ambience, and all the staff were so friendly and helpful.

Great location just outside Ludlow, overlooking the countryside. Plenty of on-site parking. We chose this hotel as it had good accessibility for a wheelchair. The downstairs bedroom offering lots of space and rails suitable for people who have limited mobility. The spa was an added bonus for relaxing at the end of the day in the hot tub and enjoying a cheeky massage. Enjoyed the evening meal and breakfast in the hotel restaurant.

Nothing comes to mind

The restaurant was amazing, the quality of the food and wine was exceptional. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Mattress was very comfortable, we had 2 great nights sleep.

Our room - 25 - was tired, window locks broken , blind in bathroom didn’t work, TV was poor quality handset didn’t work well. Bed remained unmade after first night.

Room very comfortable (fresh milk in fridge for tea) amazing shower, we had room ten, the bathroom had a window that opened- sadly this is lacking in many hotels these days Breakfast very good, lovely to be served ( again unlike main help yourself breakfasts in other hotels) and we had a great evening meal in the restaurant too. Service at the table was perfect- we had a young charming server.

The heat was over bearing in our room - we turned off radiator and opened the windows and the room cooled down slightly - we noticed a fan heater but thought it a tad much to use it to blow cold air in February
