What a fantastic experience we had at Rookery Hall Hotel. The Reception staff were all so friendly & professional. Robin carried our cases & showed us round the hotel & then took us to our room, he was so lovely & so informative. The room was fabulous, with gorgeous views of the garden. We had dinner in the restaurant & wow what a meal! It was truly amazing & the staff that served us got it just right - they were there when we were ready. Breakfast again was freshly cooked to order which was excellent. And again the service was exceptional. All in all a wonderful stay at an exquisite hotel. We’ll definitely be returning.

Not a lot - the deep step up into the bathroom in the room was quite steep.

The staff here are all professional and very very accommodating! Ellie on the day we checked in was so kind and pleasant to talk to. She will know if she reads this why we especially mention her as the receptionist on all of other days was also lovely. The food is amazing! Breakfast staff would remember your preferences and nothing was too much trouble. Housekeeping refreshed the room daily and it was probably the best we have experienced. The housekeeping staff would notice if anything needed changing or replenishing, the room was always spotless afterward and even noticed I had oat milk instead of cows milk and started to leave a little milk jug in the fridge with oat milk. These little things made us feel important as guests. Carol in the spa offered one of the best massages I’ve ever had and I always go for massages on any trip I take. Lisa was also a great therapist and sweet natured. Spa reception were friendly, knowledgeable, approachable, and always keeping themselves busy so their care for the quality of everyone’s experience was nice to see. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to my family or friends.

On the last morning the vegetarian breakfast had different sausages and tomatoes which weren’t as nice which was a shame as we were looking forward to our last full veggie breakfast. Apparently it was a stocking issue. They brought us another breakfast which was delicious though! The key card would fail at times so had to change it twice.

A delightful hotel and spa. The staff excelled in customer service. We met Rebecca on arrival who was an outstanding staff member. Felt relaxed from the start with a glass of bubbles to welcome us. Our room was superb with a roll top bath. The grounds were delightful and the breakfast superb. A wedding took place on the Saturday but as it is in a purpose build complex we did not notice its presence so don't worry if one is booked over your stay. We were to eat in the restaurant on the Saturday evening but the menu did not appeal to us. The bar area was a great alternative. The fish and chips option is highly recommended. All in all a great stay. Although prices were high I felt it was worth it for my wife's birthday treat. Nantwich was a pleasure to visit also with the added bonus of Jazz festival. Great stuff.

We felt although the wine list was superb and vast but few mid range options would be more in our price bracket. The house wine by glass was a great alternative but again quite expensive. We had to move rooms during our stay. We were close to the kitchen fans and aircon units which kept us awake. Having lived and worked on ships I can only compare the noise to this. It would take some time to get used to it. Rebecca gave us excellent customer service over the matter, moving us to another room and giving a reduction in the original room rate. A very kind gesture as other hotels may not have been so understanding.

Everything! From the moment we arrived to the moment I left, we were made to feel welcome. I have intolerances, but was accommodated and not made to feel like a nuisance to the chef. The room was just beautiful and I had a wonderful night's sleep. In the morning I used the pool and spa facilities, these made me feel energised for the trip home. The breakfast was much needed and extremely tasty. I am hoping to go again, but stay for longer. I thoroughly recommend The Rookery, and the staff all deserve a massive payrise for being so wonderful and friendly.

Having to go home after one night.

Perfect couples break. The service was exceptional and we really enjoyed our stay. All the staff made us feel so welcome and went out of their way to make it special for us for our anniversary. These special touches really impressed us. Staff were allergy aware and meals were adapted to ensure safe dining. A cocktail was made personally for me by Dan and named! The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and the house keeping services were excellent, replenishing everything we needed and preparing the room for the night. The spa facilities were great. We will definitely return.

We stayed at Rookery Hall to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary. The whole experience from check in was amazing. The building and all its features were beautiful and the location and views are exceptional. A very comfortable, peaceful and romantic retreat. The attention to detail in all areas is faultless and all the staff are very warm and welcoming and couldn’t do enough for you.

We didn’t dislike anything about this property.

As we arrived, the hotel’s exterior was stunning, resembling a castle, and beautifully decorated for Christmas, which immediately set a magical tone for our stay. There was ample parking space, and we felt at ease leaving our car in such a secure spot. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted by the loveliest receptionist, a friendly blonde lady who made us feel welcome right away. To our delight, she informed us that our room had been upgraded—a thoughtful gesture that started our visit on the perfect note. Our room was spotless, with an incredibly comfortable bed that made for a restful night. The highlight of our stay was the pool and sauna. We were fortunate to have it to ourselves, and the area was immaculately clean, making it all the more enjoyable. The green area at the back of the hotel was a standout feature. It’s a massive, pet-friendly space, perfect for a peaceful stroll and a wonderful chance to breathe in fresh countryside air—a much-needed escape from London’s hustle and bustle.

Nothing stood out.

Everything. It was exceptional from start to finish. The staff were so welcoming and attentive. The room was massive, so was the bed and the mattress was so comfy. The bathroom was equally large and was luxurious. The spa was so relaxing, with the jacuzzi, pool, sauna and steam room (and the towels were very fluffy!). We used the gym and they had cold towels waiting outside in a fridge which was a nice touch. We had food in the bar both times and the service / food was really good. The breakfast was delicious and clearly used high quality ingredients. Just gutted we were only there one night. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough!

Nothing was amazing

This hotel is exceptional, from the friendly welcome at reception to the wonderful spa staff - they can't do enough for you, to make your stay perfect. The hotel is beautiful, food & cocktails delicious (best Espresso Martini ever) and the rooms are so comfy - but it is all elevated to another level as the staff are so amazing. Thank you for the perfect stay, we are looking forward to coming back!

Really have to think hard about anything - very petty really, but the TV's in the room could do with an upgrade, to allow access to streaming - but that really is a insignificant thing!

The service was exemplary, food was to a very high standard, bed was very comfortable and room was spacious. The wine list and overall drinks selection was very good too! I stayed in the old part of the house, which is lovely and traditional. Most stayed in the newer section, which has more mod cons - so there are options for you depending on whether you prefer the old or the new.

Rooms were a bit hot, but nothing that turning the thermostat down did not solve.
