Hospitality at its best. Loved this cosy luxury country house hotel. Stayed one night with husband and 2 year old son. This hotel might not be the first hotel a family with a young child would consider but the staff had thought of everything. There was a changing mat, nappy bin and even a little bathrobe for our toddler. They helped me organise a babysitter so that we were able to dine at their amazing restaurant the Fernery. Think The Pig and I'enclume and add a bit of warmth. We loved everything about this hotel. Big fireplaces, large comfy sofas and lovely, uniquely decorated rooms. Staff were all lovely and friendly, especially the staff at the Fernery.

This is our second visit to the Grove, and we are very likely to come back again in the future. The location, staff, service, food and facilities are very good indeed.

Although, we selected a large room that has a sitting room, bedroom and bathroom, there was very little space of about 30 cm to hang our clothes such as shirts and trousers. This must be improved. Secondly, at breakfast, we have to ask for salt and pepper, which should be on the table. In the bathroom wash basin there should be a sign to warn that hot water is very hot. There was no shower cap in the bathroom.

Wonderful property and suite. Well decorated abode with a nice wood stove all set up with kindling and wood!

They do not allow guests to control their own climate. The thermostats are locked and controlled by the manager. We like to turn the heat down to sleep and up to wake up. We could not do that. We stayed 2 nights, but could not get a reservation for dinner. For a 2 night stay, one would think that we could eat in the restaurant one of those nights. They do cater to events and outside of the hotel diner’s, which is why we could not get in as a paying guest.

Beautiful hotel, restored from an old country house. Attention to detail and comfort are exceptional. The gardens and grounds are thoughtfully cared for, with wildflower meadows, ponds and wooded walks surrounding the hotel. A choice of comfortable outdoor seating, and a flourishing kitchen garden. The rooms are spacious and immaculate, and the staff are truly wonderful. I must also give a special mention to the chef, the food is of an exceptional standard, locally sourced and delicious. The hotel is also close to the stunning Pembrokeshire coastline, and the town of Tenby, so you won’t be short of days out. It was hard to leave such a wonderful place.

From the moment we were welcomed at this beautiful hotel we knew our stay was going to be fantastic. Vicky and her team looked after us impeccably and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in the wonderful Beca Suite which was amazing; four poster bed and roll top bath. Food was outstanding, both the evening meal in the relaxed Artisan room and breakfast the following day. The Grove and the staff were amazing and we can't wait to return.

My ground floor room was really stunning. I'm all of sudden a fan of the right type of conservatory. All of the staff were very friendly and knowledgable. The breakfast was quality. The dog friendly nature was, of course, critical to a top notch stay and it was in abundance.

I was a little confused by service in the reception areas. Since I was with my dog, we would sit in the dog friendly side (left as you enter). Unfortunately, I was never asked if I wanted a drink or a snack and the bar itself was on the no-dogs side. Just a little confusing, but minor for a three night stay.

A beautiful and very relaxing luxury hotel: shown in the thoughtful, caring, relaxed attention to detail of the wonderful team, the clever, comfortable interior design interpretations of the Welsh-crafts, history and traditions, and in the delicious cuisine: it is exceptional in absolutely every sense of the word and an incredibly relaxing and inspiring place for the mind and soul. Very quiet and peaceful with stunning views.

Hotel set in a beautiful location with fabulous garden and grounds. Staff in all parts of the hotel were superb - friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Room was perfect - confortable, clean, spacious with all mod cons. Food was of a high standard if on the pricier side. Would highly recommend staying here to celebrate a special occasion or to get away from it all.

Breakfast was good but seriously over priced for what you were given.

Superb surroundings. Mood and atmosphere excellent. Accomodation top notch. Each member of staff very polite and accommadating.

Breakfast a little slow on last day. Although upgrade of room billiant the down side had to walk in all weather for any meals in restaurant. Selection of menu for dinner on first night not what you would exspect from this type of establishment, Quality was very poor. This was corrected for the next evening with an oustanding meal and service. The management appreciated our comments and implemented changes emmediately.

Really enjoyed our stay at The Grove and it has been on my bucket list for a while. We pushed the boat out and had the 8 course tasting menu and wine flight which was delicious. The food was immaculately presented and tasty. Our sommelier had a wonderful and captivating way of describing all the wines and she was lovely! The rooms were very comfortable and with understated elegance. The complementary fridge bar in the bedroom was well stocked. Lovely toiletries. Staff are nice and there is a calm atmosphere. Breakfast was mostly really nice

The croissants served at breakfast were unfortunately overcooked (very dark brown/burnt) and were cold.
