Breakfast is off a standard menu, but you can select anything as the breakfast included with the stay (including hot/cold drinks). Excellent food. Excellent touches in the room, bottled water, vanity kit, wonderful tea/coffee. Bed was so comfortable!

Annoyingly in the morning the rooms get a wonderful sun rise, but it does lighten the room from early on. And the watering system for the hanging baskets was a feature, a drip throughout the night- highlighted it to staff though who were prompt to investigate it. Didn’t spoil a great nights sleep for me, but may for some.

I have stayed several times before and loved The Eaton Oak. My dinner was very good (Massaman curry with chicken) and the waitress at dinner was great. The rooms are spotless and very comfortable and it is nice to park so close to the rooms making it easy to get luggage in and out.

There was a slightly different vibe this time with parking controls and less welcoming service, especially at breakfast. It is a first world problem but I was disappointed that the lovely mushrooms and poached eggs breakfast had disappeared off the menu 🙁 When I checked out, I requested an invoice for my expenses and was told that one would be emailed but it hasn’t arrived, despite me chasing it up by email a couple of days ago. It is still reasonable value but not so long ago, B&B cost £80 per night. It is now £120 (without mushrooms!) I will look at other options for future business trips, sadly.

Everything was as expected, or even better. We will most certainly stay at the Eaton Oak again.

It's not a complaint, but due to the exceptionally hot weather, the accommodation block was just so hot, probably 30 deg C plus, on the night we stayed, we just couldn't sleep, even with the accommodation supplied fan, running all night. Had ambient temperatures been normal, it would have been 100% The dining area is air conditioned, so making it perfect for all meal times etc.

Good convenient location, easy to get to/from, with good out-of-hours access too. Comfortable clean room, lovely bathroom. Breakfast was delicious, and sunny weather meant was able to sit outside in a lovely patioed area too. Staff very friendly - Maddie was excellent; professional, very friendly and helpful.

Not a big deal, but could have done with breakfast starting earlier than 800am, maybe even 730am would have made a difference for me personally, to get to work before 9am. When I stay again I'll prob give a heads-up that I'll be having a full English in the morning and will be finding a table at 800am :-)

Staff were very accommodating in the bar area when a huge group of us turned up unexpectedly- nothing was too much trouble. Great surroundings and garden/patio area which as hotel guests we were allowed to use even once bar closed. Bedrooms were ideal and breakfast was amazing - huge choice and yet again extremely pleasant and accommodating staff. Already booked our next visit!

Absolutely Nothing. My only suggestion, if I had to say something (and it’s really not a big deal at all) would be to consider an option to increase the lighting in the bedrooms

Recently refurbished guest rooms and attention to detail was clear. Double glazing on original bay window kept the traffic noise out, very comfortable bed, soft and cosy bed linen and towels, tea, coffee and water available in room and lovely smelling toiletries. Could not fault anything. To top it all a great breakfast the next morning with a choice full english, vegetarian and contintental- all made to order.

Hotel is very welcoming, All staff very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Rooms really nice and beds are comfy. Would definitely stay there again

Rooms are right on a main road so some traffic noise in morning and deliveries to hotel early on some days. Would not stop me staying there again in the future

The accommodation is attached, but separate from the public house, which made it an ideal situation. The rooms were large, comfortable and contained everything required for a relaxing overnight stay. The breakfast the following morning was also excellent. Adequate car parking space and was able to park right outside our door.

The heating thermostat was behind the bar and had been turned down for all rooms so was cold til I said something. The windows were drafty and let a lot of noise in and as the accommodation is on main road was lots of traffic which kept us awake. The bath plug did not stay in whatever we tried so unfortunately could not make use of the lovely bath.

Our room was lovely. Very nicely decorated, very comfortable and with a great bathroom. Breakfast was excellent - plenty of choice and served by a really friendly waiter.

We stayed here last year and had a lovely meal in the restaurant. This year, we invited friends to join us to eat. What a disappointment! The food was generally tasty, but almost all of it was over-cooked and dry. What a shame! Also, we were warned at the outset by our waitress that some items on the menu were either out of stock or in low supply. This proved to be the case for the choices we made, including a bottle of wine which we would have particularly liked !
