Lovely hotel, great customer service from arrival to departure. Gorgeous breakfast, very comfortable bed. Loved the swimming pool and sauna. No complaints, just a wonderful stay. Felt very peaceful and relaxing.

Very clean and the room was modern. The bathroom in our classic bathroom was big enough for bath and shower! Breakfast had a great offering and the staff were kind enough to blend up some of the yogurt and fruit so my 10mo could also enjoy which we really appreciated. The pool and spa facilities were great and the disabled change room/family change room were helpful. The travel cot was set up ready for us which was fab.

We stayed during a heat wave and hadn’t checked whether there was air-con in the room before booking but a fan was delivered when asked.

Friendly staff, beautifully adequate room, separate shower and bath in the room, comfy bed, Extra pillows, very nice quality breakfast with a good varied choice, free parking, within 5 minutes of a bus to the city, nice outdoor area to sit with a small lake ahead and use of the pool, steam room, sauna, relaxation room (it was a bit cold in the relaxation room though) and spa pool included with adequate lockers, showers, hairdryers and changing rooms. We ate there for 1 night and the food was lovely and a fair price for a hotel, impressed that room service charge is only £5 per room, not that we used it. We enjoyed a lovely relaxing stay and would definitely return.

Location ideal for our tour of the area. Easy booking in. Reasonable size room. Good parking close to hotel. Good spa facility but due a bit of tlc. Well laid out dining room with plenty of space between tables. Good breakfast.

Soap dispensers for the sink and over the bath empty and not refilled during our stay. Had to rely on dispenser in the shower. Basic housekeeping stuff! Being charged £5 to swap a scoop of ice cream for custard with my dessert is poor form and resulted in us going elsewhere on our second night. Hotel lost £70+ as a result.

Layout is good, interior decor is simple and fantastic, room is quite spacious and bathroom is top notch. The swimming pool is well maintained and sauna ticked the box. Overall, staff are friendly and welcoming.

My room has no telephone and fridge was not functioning. Upon inquiry, I was informed by a receptionist that someone nicked the phone, and the fridges in all rooms are not working. Although she advised I should put my drinks in the fridge at the reception which was helpful at the material time, but I reckon that’s not good enough. Secondly, in an event of emergency or situations which require hotel services to be delivered to a customer, how can that be facilitated without a phone in the room? Fine it was stolen, but it should have been replaced prior to my arrival, so that was unacceptable and a poor service

The lady on reception when we arrived was great. She went out of her way to be helpful, to understand and answer my query about a request for connecting rooms that we had made before arrival and then double checked personally in the rooms to make sure everything was correct. It was a small thing but to us it was important and her warm and positive manner really made a difference. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful. Rooms were clean and a good size and overall the hotel had a lovely feel.

The restaurant looked lovely but as we had the children with us, we were looking more at the bar menu for something to eat in the evening. We would have liked a few more options to the bar menu for children and also at a more reasonable rate for this relaxed option. I understand as a spa they are catering for adults having a relaxing day but the time restrictions on the pool for children were tight and there were no options for a morning swim for the children and we did book this hotel because we knew it had a pool and that the kids would want to swim, it maybe needs to be clearer when booking that there are restrictions to this.

This was an ideally location as we wanted to explore the city of Cambridge. The lady on reception, who we believe was called Hayley, was very helpful and made it easy for us to up-grade our room on arrival. All the staff we encountered were pleasant and helpful. The spa facilities, the room and the outdoor seating overlooking the lakes were all excellent, very relaxing and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was a huge plus too with plenty of choice. The option of room service or eating in the restaurant was an added bonus and the food we had was great.

Nothing much - we did find the shower a little small and dated but that is being picky. All in all, bright, airy and modern rooms.

Standard of cleanliness, facilities and food was very good! The room was great, very large flat screen tv if that's your thing and nice separate shower and bath. The food in the hotel restaurant for dinner was excellent in taste and quality.

Not a fan of the £50 deposit taken upon checking in which was supposed to be a smooth deduction of your credit card if you did not buy anything or an extra charge was supposed to be added on if you spent more than £50 during your stay. The waiting staff in the restaurant seemed to have no idea of this arrangement so we ended up charging our dinner to our room instead and rectifying it all at time of checking out. The only other negative was that we waited an incredibly long time to be served between main meal and dessert. All the waiting staff were very young and chatting amongst themselves so perhaps have not learnt to manage a busy room.

Great family rooms - suites with separate loving room. Excellent spacious bathroom with shower and spa bath. Great breakfast. Staff excellent from reception to housekeeping and restraunt they were friendly, helpful and really tried to make the children feel welcome.

Taking the bus into Cambridge was less straightforward than I’d expected when booking the hotel. The hotel has some great child Friendly policies (like children eat free) but only if you remember to ask! The swimming pool has limited children’s swimming time (although this was clearly advertised in advance) and during this time there were also swimming lessons making the small pool very limited in space.

The CB was a very comfortable place to stay for a mini break with friends. I liked being in a peaceful and green location with everything you need on-site, but a short hop on the bus or Uber to Cambridge city centre. The reception staff in the hotel and spa were exceptional, the rooms were very comfortable and clean. Mine had a nice green outlook and I liked having a separate shower cubicle and bath. The relaxation room is a lovely idea - every hotel should have one. You got a spa experience without having to pay for a treatment, which of course you can do. The pool and jacuzzi were nice and warm. Loved sitting by the jetty and lake. Very good breakfast selection. There was a school prom the evening we stayed and the hotel did a great job of making sure guests weren’t affected by the noise.

Some of the bar staff weren’t very attentive. There are no cubicles in the tired-looking changing rooms (flashback to getting changed for PE at school). The restaurant is very expensive and was fully booked on the Saturday evening so we didn’t use it, we went to the local Indian restaurant instead which was pleasant enough. A wider selection of teas in the bedroom would have been nice. Some items in the breakfast ran out very quickly. The selection of sauces was extremely odd - one tiny bottle of ketchup for the whole room where the cooked breakfast was served. Subsequently we all ended up queuing for condiments. Popular with hen parties - many of whom came to breakfast in spa robes which I thought was really peculiar.
