Located in a beautiful village but centrally situated, allowing easy exploration of Cambridge and surrounding area. Very peaceful surroundings to stay in and it allows you to just get away from it all. Breakfast, delivered to the door, each morning, was excellent. Really good quality produce and it was a generous portion. Also, breakfast was always delivered with a welcoming smile. Alex was a extremely helpful and caring host. Provided heaps of information about local public transport into Cambridge. We would definitely recommend visitors to use the guided busway into Cambridge. Fantastic service. We had a wonderful stay.

Our host was excellent. Our friends stayed in the additional property and we all agree - the cooked breakfast delivered personally was excellent. We also had cakes provided on our arrival with tea/coffee/sugar all available plus all we needed for use of the shower/bathroom - which was a lovely surprise and unexpected. Lovely village setting and the local pub serves great food. All in all our stay was great and we would have no hesitation in booking again if the opportunity arose.

Cosy accommodation, has everything you need for a nights stay near Cambridge. Complete mini house with bedroom, bathroom and lounge/kitchen. Quiet location with beautiful surroundings for walking/pub. Driveway to park car, felt very safe. Friendly host who saw us out in the morning and checked on our stay.

As this place is 20 min drive out of Cambridge and not near a train station had to get a taxi however I’m aware there is a bus stop a little walk away. Would have been nice to have had some milk for a coffee in the morning, didn’t think to bring this, no shop nearby.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely guesthouse. The host Alex was very attentive and always made sure we felt comfortable. He was happy to chat and share stories, which created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The balance between hospitality and personal space was just right, and the place itself was cozy and thoughtfully arranged. We would gladly come back and can highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone looking for a peaceful and friendly place.

I almost didn't want to do a review on the Thorn B&B because it was so perfect I wanted to keep it a secret 🤫 Gorgeous, quiet location. Great to have a whole little house all to ourselves. Lovely cooked breakfast hand delivered each morning. The lovely host, Alex, likes to deliver breakfast by 8am so if you want a lie in take some cereal or bread for toast and make your own in the little kitchen where a microwave, small fridge with chiller slot (not freezer), coffee machine, toaster and kettle are provided. There's also tea, coffee pods, condiments, jam and a big barrel of biscuits provided. Small living room with smart TV, cupboard that doubled up as a wardrobe and ironing board and iron home and dining table. Walk in shower was efficient and toiletries are provided. The bed was comfy and the bedroom was equipped with fans, electric blanket, hairdryer and straighteners! There wasn't a garden view in our lodge but there was a private drive that allowed us to take the car right up to the front door of the property which made unpacking a breeze. Away from the property there is a local pub 'The Three Tuns' which does a very nice meal. Not the cheapest place for food but if it is only a night or two then it's great. There is no shop of any kind in the village so stock up before you get there. Alex gave us a fabulous welcome with a little treat (I won't spoil the surprise) and nothing seemed too much trouble for him. If you want a relaxed, private experience then this is definitely the place for you.

In a very peaceful location with a good pub just around the corner. The host Alex was friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was tasty with lots of choice and brought to your door The bed was very comfy. Good access to plugs and had a long mirror.

Found it difficult to work the radiator in the lounge area but Alex soon rectified this problem. The shower could have been hotter with a bit more power.

We were only at Thorn House for 1 night but it had everything we needed - plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits, a separate seating area with a TV and a very comfortable bed. After a lovely meal at the pub round the corner it was a great place to relax. We appreciated the off-street parking and very quiet location, and we really enjoyed the delicious full English breakfast freshly cooked by the owner and delivered to our door.

Just back from a stay in this lovely b&b. We stayed in the cottage and it was so lovely and reasonably priced. We also enjoyed an evening meal in the local pub which was very enjoyable. The cottage was really nice, soft towels and all very clean. The host Alex was really lovely, he gave us such a nice warm welcome and was such a kind, friendly and pleasant person. The breakfast provided was delicious. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to stay somewhere a little different. Much nicer than staying in a normal generic hotel and easily accessible to local attractions.

The location was in a picturesque village and very quiet. We had a very good night's sleep in a comfortable bed. The property was equipped with everything that you could have possibly required. Our host Alex was charming and very attentive to our needs. We were provided with a lovely cooked breakfast in the morning by Alex.

breakfast was excellent. once new air fryer was mastered. by owner. seriously its was excellent set t us up for the day. the accommodation was very quiet and comfy slept really well, and the daily cake trets were a lovely touch

nothing really although personally a fan of electric showers but it did the job
