Was a perfect location for peace and quiet and the room was well furnished and shower had good pressure, breakfast was great too served with great hospitality from the staff, well done guys.

We only had a slight issue with the heating controls when trying to reduce the room temperature we set it to 17•c but would only go as low as 21•c (we like a cool room for sleeping) the air conditioner provided is a mobile one in the cupboard with no real way to put exhaust out the window without opening the curtains, notified the staff and they said would pass on the comments, we made do with the desk fan also provided which helped.

Beautiful well appointed rooms

The breakfast… had to order the day before when we checked it, limited choices available, and to be honest I have no idea of what I want to eat the following day, depending on how hungry I am! Cheap streaky bacon on the full English breakfast, we had to ask for juice as the jug was empty, and for cups for a hot drink. Only a bowl of fruit, clementines, bananas, apples, no prepared fruit or pastries, just cereal, or white or wholemeal toast. Tables not cleared after people had finished. Very disappointing given the lovely lunch we had eaten the previous day.

When the person who shows you to your room explains "I'd better show you how the shower works" you're not quite sure whether that's good or bad news. In this case it was definitely good - the bathroom is resplendent with a fantastic, hi-tech shower. It is fitted out to a really high spec with brilliant attention to detail, like little night-time lights that come on when you open the door so you don't have to turn on the main lights, and a mirror that doesn't let the mist settle. Sheets on the bed were really good quality. Stunningly clean. Oh - and the food - marvellous. I'm definitely coming again.

All good, though an EV charger in the car park would be the icing on the cake

Peaceful rural location; comfortable, modern and clean rooms; good pub and food; friendly and accommodating bar staff.

Breakfasts were very good, but having to choose off-menu was limiting - it would’ve been good to also have a simple buffet option for cereals, toast, etc. Also, there was no hot water in the morning of my last day. Bad things happen occasionally and can’t be helped - it’s the reaction of the establishment that counts. In this case I had no one to notify, and my message attempt through Booking.com wasn’t answered. The only slight disappointment in an otherwise enjoyable stay.

A great, friendly stay in a clean and comfortable room with good shower room. Nice to see a local pub well frequented by locals, as well as visitors. Good evening menu with very good food, well presented and tasty. Cooked breakfast also good. All staff were welcoming.

Nothing really, even the sun was shining! Not quite the perfect 10, as the shower room door is a bit water damaged and breakfast the second morning not quite as good as the first morning (the muffin missing and DIY toast), and would be good if they had some juice available too, but I am being picky here!

the whole setting was beautiful, true country pub location, very peaceful place. The food was absolutely delicious and a good value menu. Can't fault the staff who were helpful and welcoming, even showed us to our room. We had upgraded to a superior double which was a beautiful room. loved the historic links and information to the restaurant and accommodation . All in all, a great place to enjoy and drink and a meal.

The only issue for me was the bed, which was extremely firm . I'm sure it will suit some people but unfortunately I'm not one of them.

Visited Duxford for the day and wanted somewhere closer to stay then night. This fitted the bill perfectly. Very pretty pub and staff were so friendly. The room was spotlessly clean. The shower was really powerful and considering it was -4° outside the room was really cosy and warm. We stayed in The Drage and would definitely stay in that room again. We had dinner in The Red Cow and the food was lovely. We had chicken wings and mushrooms to start and teriyaki chicken with noodles for main. Food was very tasty and plentiful. Bar prices were about average and there was a lovely open fire. We opted for the full English breakfast and this was really tasty. I can't recommend this place enough.

Nothing, but if I could have had a small fridge in the room this would have been good. I don't like the little cartoons of skimmed milk and like it when there is a little bottle of milk and water in the fridge.

Lovely old pub with very well appointed rooms with beautiful bathrooms. Comfortable bed. We happened to be there on 'Steak Night' and had a very good dinner.

Breakfast was a bit odd. We think it was the first day for our server as he didn't really know what was what. We had to order our hot breakfast the night before, which was OK, but we had great difficulty finding out if there was any cereal or fruit juice. He eventually found some, including some granola (which he appeared never to have heard of before). But it all worked out in the end.

Stayed 1 night while visiting the IWM. Only about 10mins drive. Super convenient. The property was lovely. Quiet and peaceful surroundings. Room (The Drage) was in the barn conversion of the pub. Beautifully renovated. Very clean. Bed was comfortable and bathroom with White Company toiletries. Had dinner at the restaurant. Quite busy with good atmosphere. Food was ok - the rib eye steak was underwhelming. Staff were very friendly and professional. Overall would go back again. Highly recommend if looking for a place to stay near the IWM.

The customer service was excellent. Danni was there to welcome us and show us to our rooms when we arrived. She also helped us to order taxis and made sure our breakfast was pre- ordered for the following morning. Nothing was too much trouble and she was so helpful. Did everything with a smile. Location was stunning - chocolate - box Village. Bed was comfortable and hotel had an interesting historic atmosphere. Very clean. Tea, coffee making facilities in room with biscuits. Easy to use WiFi.
