We had an impression that the room was a little rough from the photos, but the actual room was large and the facilities, structure and layout were perfect. The design of the room was also well coordinated and tasteful. It was very comfortable and we spent most of our time in the room, only going sightseeing to nearby Wimpole Hall in the afternoon. From the room, I could see the tall trees and horses nearby, and the spacious broad bean field right next to it, and the way the fields rippled as the wind blew through them was something I never got tired of looking at. we were happy to be able to stay in such a location, and in such a comfortable environment. When I lay in bed, I could see the sky through the skylight directly above. The sunset clouds were very impressive. The host was very kind and friendly, and and helped us out in many ways. A very nice and wonderful host!

The location was perfect for us, surrounded by fields and countryside with lovely views all around. The owner provided detailed instructions on how to find the property and we received a friendly welcome on arrival. Parking was easy and secure. The apartment was spacious, spotlessly clean, well equipped and comfortable. Continental breakfast was supplied and was very good - fresh milk in the fridge, coffee, tea, a choice of cereals, bread etc. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return next year. Thank you.

We live on the south coast and were attending a large family reunion in Bishop's Stortford so Spring Paddocks was the ideal location. We needed to stay for two nights and did not want to stop in a large hotel chain. They are alright but we wanted somewhere peaceful to unwind and take it easy as we are both in our 70s. Spring Paddocks was perfect being set in the Essex countryside. The host was lovely and provided everything we needed. The accomodation was equipped with a kitchen with ample foodstuff for a quick continental breakfast. One thing we really appreciated is having fresh milk instead of the awful long-life stuff supplied in a lot of places. Highly recommended and we will certainly return there if the need arises.

Chosen as a close by accommodation to a family event at Alswick Barn. A warm welcome received from Christine, hostess on arrival with all details about the accommodation., even though it was detailed in the room - a nice personal touch. Our short stay was a twin bed garden room at the back of the main house, but it was private and quiet. First class, faultless, quality accommodation, spacious and with plentiful tea, coffee, breakfast supplies in the room. Asked for suggested dinner options and was referred to the Bewery Tap pub down the road which didnt disappoint. Would highly recommend

Superb accommodation set within a quite idyllic location. Though the owner lives onsite, the property is afforded a great deal of privacy with spectacular views in all directions. In addition, a private graveled driveway together with electronic gates ensures a comforting sense of security. Our one-night stay was both quiet and restful, enhanced as it was by the high level of cleanliness and maintenance observed within the rooms. The facilities within the accommodation left us wanting for nothing. It is a well-known fact that we Yorkshiremen tend to be careful with our money. I consider ‘Spring Paddocks’ to be of excellent value, and in Christine, it is complemented with a most perfect host. We would have absolutely no hesitation in returning for future stays at this wonderful property. Thankyou Christine.

Lovely big apartment with wonderful views from every window. Nice provisions for breakfast including some gluten free options for me. Bed is extremely comfortable.

Be aware there are stairs so bringing heavy bags upstairs can be tricky. Our rental car's sat nav couldn't find the place but a friendly local man steered us in the right direction. Probably due to our rental company not updating the maps!

The rooms are finished to a very high standard with excellent natural light. It was clean, comfortable and very well maintained. The views are stunning and the facilities (including the Jacuzzi bathrooms) are second to none. Our friendly hosts took care to make our stay a first class trip which it was. We had fresh towels on both days and the beds were made up in time for our return in the evening. A continental breakfast was supplied and refreshed each day. We would definitely recommend staying at Spring Paddocks and we are more than happy to stay again in the future.

Christine was a very helpful and attentive host. Great communications and lots of local information provided. Safe parking for vehicles. Excellent choices of foods for breakfast. We had a lovely stay and would highly recommend Spring Paddocks to others.

There isn’t anything we didn’t like.

We stayed at this amazing b&b for 1 night, but we wished we could stay longer. From the moment that we arrived, being greeted by Christine & Andy, to the moment we left, everything was exceptional. The room is cosy, clean, and modern, with all the facilities you need for a comfortable stay. The bathroom is big, and the kitchen is fully equipped. The bed was so comfy. We definitely had a good night sleep. Not to mention the view that you wake up to in the morning, one of the windows looking over the fields. We will definitely come back if ever in the area again

Property was as described - very clean all facilities for a self catering stay with a welcome basket (breakfast and milk). Very comfortable bed and very peaceful.

Not really a negative but you have to pin a number into a key pad to get the car in and out (the owner has 2 dogs although they were never loose whilst we were there)
