Room ok could be better I was there because member of family getting married the bride and her bridesmaids stayed in lodge which was brilliant until 3am in the morning when I woke up to c a man staring at me throw my window and after the wedding my niece was in her room waiting for her boyfriend to come up but unfortunately a strange man that worked in the kitchen came in to her room before her boyfriend come in which when her boy friend questioned him he tried to walk away, this is not a safe hotel and no one seemed to care about what could have happened to my niece after the man got out the room my son and niece boyfriend when’s down stairs to tell reception to find 3 more chefs waiting for them which one OMG the head butted my son in the face broke his nose and the other two held my niece boy friend on the ground ended up phoning police but nothing was done I would not stay hear again was such a good wedding shame it finished so bad 2/10 not happy

Staff

The breakfast was full English and of good quality. Plenty of tea and coffee , juices fruit.

We travelled from Devon in our electric car. They have no facilities to recharge your car. We are all trying to be more eco for the planet. Need to install electric car charging facilities.

The hôtel looked grand, even in darkness and certainly most impressive. Oh what a pity it lacked a lift! We found it hard to climb two flights of stairs to room 63! even treading on plush carpet! We had a 'top class' gin and tonic and a great true-english style roast-beef sandwich!

There was a large television in the room but it kept on switching off every ten minutes! .. in the middle of passages of an excellent documentary! What a pity!

We turned up on Friday. Check in was easy and the staff was lovely. . We were at a wedding close by and also away for our anniversary. Went to our room to have rose petals on the bed. 10 minutes in a knock on the door they brought a beautiful plate of chocolates up. It was clean and very comfortable. Cannot recommend this hotel Enough.

Rick on the night shift was unbelievable, I didn’t have my I phone charger he hooked me up without question. alongside the manager who helped me with ordering food, working the bar and being absolutely gorgeous it’s a lovely quiet place off the beaten track I’d stay a 3rd time

lovely staff; convenient location for a wedding we were attending; spacious rooms with lovely large beds.

everything was fine apart from a rather disappointing breakfast. We chose to eat at 9am and breakfast was served 7-10. unfortunately it felt like the hot food had been out for hours, and things were dry. pastries also were disappointing and didn’t feel super fresh.

Nice big airy rooms, not too hot and with lovely surroundings

Only criticism is the mirrors and the art not positioned well. I reckon better art with better placement and correctly fitting mirror would do the trick...but it is a minimal point.

The hotel was lovely, room was a great size with balcony. The manager, Mario, could not do more for us. We missed breakfast by 10 mins as we were not told a change of breakfast times on check In but he arranged for the chef to cook us a full English and the restaurant waitress waited on us hand and foot, above and beyond

The room had not been hoovered properly. The previous guests had obviously used confetti for something and the little bits were still all over the floor. Only 2 towels provided and no hand towels. Only one bathroom glass provided for 2 guests

Breakfast was excellent on day of leaving the chef cooked breakfast to order and offered me vegetarian sausages which were not in the breakfast buffet. Although food very well presented in the evening the menu did not change for our 4 night stay and portions were small and price high.

I liked my rooms which before I left I gave Receptionist my electrical iron to keep there or whatever may be that could be useful for any guess who want to iron they dress, geans etc Receptionist gave me a favor to print off my Locations form otherwise I will struggling at the Airport to do so, Receptionist also helped me took all my belonging to Taxi 15 meters or so walking please say Hello and my big thank you for they assistancewith my huge appreciation to them on my behalf.
