Beautifully appointed room, lovely ensuite bathroom and good selection of teas/coffees/biscuits. Friendly staff. Perfect for a one or two night stay. The vegetarian breakfast in the Fox's restaurant was excellent.

The room and bed were both smaller than expected: The booking said 'large' double bed but it seemed to be a regular double, and the metre sq measurement given of the room must have included the bathroom, as there was v little space around the bed. The restaurant's dinner menu lacked vegetarian options, which was a shame.

Honestly, I cannot recommend this more - I had the absolute best stay this weekend at The Fox! The staff was insanely kind and helpful, the room and facilities were on par with what I expected - if not better - and the cleanliness and comfort of the room made me feel so relaxed. I enjoyed this stay so much and would recommend it to solo travelers, couples, and families alike! The restaurant & bar is the cherry on top, where I was able to have a delicious British Sunday roast :)

ALL staff: housekeeping, reception, waiting and chefs are very helpful, friendly and efficient and it was great to see some young waiting staff who were also full of fun Beautiful location There's a little patio to sit on in front of a spacious well proportioned bedroom with a large well fitted shower room with gorgeous products From the hand wash & hand lotion to the shampoo & conditioner and the body wash everything matches in fragrance and great quality The large variety of teas, coffee, hot chocolate & biscuits in the room are also of very good quality Each room, of the garden rooms is divided by some planters filled with colourful, fragrant and beautiful flowers and shrubs Sitting outside on one of the chairs looking at the beautiful old church I felt like I was sitting outside my own little cottage The birdsong added to the lovely overall ambience of the place The breakfast choice was vast, but again great quality throughout Everything tasted fresh, home cooked and delicious 😋 A few worthy mentions: there's a choice of scrambled, poached or fried with the full English, all pastries are made with butter And there's dairy milk alternatives, including oatmilk & decaffeinated tea and coffee available both in the restaurant and guest rooms Photos and descriptions didn't do it justice!

Instead of slices of pork in the Sunday roast the pork was thickly cut and resembled a boneless pork chop and the crackling was, disappointingly, chewy rather that crisp and the roast potatoes were placed crisp side down in the gravy, therefore rendering them soft instead of crisp Also the cheeseboard was just 3 thin slices of cheese, a celery stalk cut into thin slices, a few grapes, a teaspoon of chutney and some small crackers .... This was overpriced at £12 I think there was air-conditioning but if it was where I thought it was then it was out of my reach Individual bedside tables a little too small and uneven

My partner and I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Fox at Willian in Letchworth for two nights, and our stay was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, even offering an upgraded garden room with a terrace. The room was not only beautifully decorated but also really spacious. The food was nothing short of amazing—we were lucky to be staying on one of their three special mussel evenings which we enjoyed – Thai Green mussels or Chorizo, charred sweetcorn and tomatoes! Definitely exceeded our expectations and added an extra layer of enjoyment to our stay. Breakfast was perfect and served in a quiet and more private area for overnight guests which is a nice touch. We would wholeheartedly recommend The Fox at Willian anyone visiting and look forward to the opportunity to stay again in the future.

Great place, easy to find and free parking. The room was super, well finished, clean and thoughtfully done. Bed was comfy, the linen was clean and Bramley toiletries. Yum. Also very quiet for cars despite being near a road. Beautiful aspect over some lawns and shrubs. Super handy little village shop right there too.

The light pollution was incredible. Both from the curtains and the glass wall of the bathroom which was a real shame. Also, the walls of the room are so terribly thin I was almost friends with the next door neighbour and her telephone caller by the time she went to breakfast. Such a shame.

Reasonably sized room with both a bath tub and separate shower. Room was clean and mattress comfortable. Nice breakfast and good choice of food and wine for the evening meal. Very good service from the bar and restaurant staff. There is a separate car park at the back adjacent to the accommodation which is good since the car park by the pub/restaurant can fill up during peak times. A small fan was provided in the room and on full power drowned out any outside noise. Ear plugs were provided but I did not need to use them. The windows had shutters that would help in very hot weather but I would also bring a large free-standing fan with me under those circumstances.

The desk/table provided in the room was small and not really suitable for business work.

Rooms were beautifully decorated, were a good side and very comfortable. The bathroom was spotless and the products provided were lovely quality. Room design was well thought out with places for plugs and getting ready. Beds were comfy and linen was nice quality. Every detail was thought of. Breakfast was amazing and service in the restaurant was impeccable. We also ate an evening meal there too and it was possible the best steak I’d ever had. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Was a little noisy in our room under the stairs meant we could hear everyone going up and down them during the night, but they had kindly provided ear plugs.

Room was compact, but comfortable and well equipped. Restaurant excellent, if quite expensive for what it is. Staff friendly and helpful. Relaxed atmosphere. Ultrafast broadband was a real bonus. Easy access to A1(M). EV chargers (only 7kW).

Room close to a road. Not a main road, but nonetheless noisy, even with window closed. Walls paper-thin, and couple next door enjoyed themselves with impressive stamina until the early hours, so I didn’t sleep much on the first night. Ear plugs were provided, which helped to some extent, so obviously a known issue.

We met up with family for a birthday celebration. Everyone thought that the food was exceptional, the service at table was also very good and a great time was had by all

My husband and I also spent the night at The Fox. While the en suite was good, the room was a bit small, and our sleep was disturbed by traffic noise.

What a brilliant place. We booked a few rooms for a dinner, etc, following a workshop. The dinner was excellent & we were very well looked after. The rooms have everything you need, nicely laid out with attention to detail. Breakfast was superb. Stayed a 2nd night for Groundswell with a colleague, and this time had dinner outside in their excellent garden bar - thoroughly recommend. Thank you to all the staff at the Fox who ensured our stay was enjoyable and went smoothly.

Better cheese selection and better coffee, but look, that's splitting hairs!
