We have stayed here twice before and have always thought it really good. Each time the rooms have been beautiful, the cleanliness perfect and the breakfasts good (although not always perfect but how many places is breakfast ever perfect!) I really enjoy staying here, we have family in Royston and have stayed here at Easter for the last 3 years - we look forward to it.

For 3 years now we have asked for pineapple juice at breakfast but alas......... I like the way the a big glass of fruit juice is brought to your table at breakfast but maybe ask first if people want lots of ice in it - it can be a bit hard on sensitive teeth!

Staff were super welcoming, friendly and helpful. Always a ready happy smile. I did not feel like an intrusion on their day unlike so many of the impersonal multinational chains. WhenI was the only one for late breakfast, yet I was not made to feel like an intrusion on their day. The funky quirky decor is really different but well done so it is not OTT. Our spacious bathroom was to die for with a really big deep bath and no apprentice end to the hot water. The products supplied were good too. The food at the hotel was excellent, with a large menu with lots of variety. Despite being at the front of the hotel our room was very quiet and was also very clean and tidy. The choose of bar / restaurant seating was nice and didn’t make any difference to the quality of service, bot had a good atmosphere when we were settled that was just down to the company.

The door lock was a bit loose as it it had been forced at some time but it still locked securely. Whilst WE LOVED the quirky four poster and It was ****NOT**** an issue for us; the bed is a bit low and other guests may find it an issue.

Wow thank you so much to all the staff who treated us so well during our short stay. We booked last min for the night before our wedding and we were welcomed with a freindly smile and excellent service. We needed breakfast earlier the next morning due to having to leave to get ready for our wedding, and the staff were all so accomodating, offering us a light breakfast that was very yummy! The room was beautiful, and tidy and had everything qe needed! Would like to thank the team for making our stay with them very enjoyable.

Nothing!

Beautiful character building with private free parking. Lovely decor throughout, spacious bedroom and bathroom with traditional and modern facilities. Friendly and welcoming staff. Great breakfast in lovely surroundings. Very close to Town Centre for pubs, bars, restaurants and shops.

Nothing really as provided everything we needed for a one night stay. Maybe the room could have done with having a thorough clean but this did not spoil our stay.

The rooms were very clean, lovely bathroom and enjoyed the coffee and biscuits available in the rooms. Great breakfast and friendly staff. Would stay again if were in the area

Nothing was wrong with this hotel although our room faced the main road and above the beer cellar so was a little noisier than expected.

Well located with lovely staff and good facilities. The room had been tarted up but was still very dated. It was large though. Great breakfast

Bedding could be better. Sheets and pillows are definitely nicer at a Premier Inn. The hotel is not a bargain

The room was fabulous, we were very happy. Loved the bed, the decor and the bathroom especially. It was great to have the Nespresso coffee machine, especially as, sorry to say this, but the breakfast coffee was a bit ropey! The air con worked like a dream, which has not been our experience anywhere else recently. My Eggs Benedict for breakfast was divine. Unfortunately my husband's sausages in his full English had barely been introduced to the frying pan so had to back, but NEVER judge a place by one thing.

There was a staff member who seemed like a manager who was working on her laptop next to the check-in desk. I thought she was working there rather than in an office so she could keep an eye on guests however apparently not, as she gave us a good ignoring to on two different occasions. Very strange approach to customer service! Luckily anther lady arrived who was super helpful.

The bedroom was large warm and welcoming. The funky and quality authentic vibe was a real bonus. Stylish and spacious, room 7 had great views of the church!

We arrived 4.30pm,the bar area was empty after a busy afternoon. It appeared the staff had taken a well earned break.Tables were left unclean, glasses and bottles where everdent on many empty tables… Not a good first impression. I can add this was not the norm for the rest of our stay.

We could not fault a thing. The spirit of your staff is clearly the result of good management and genuine enjoyment. We were blown away by our room and lovely touches during Valentine's weekend. We dined each evening and for breakfast and the food was wonderful. Thank you for making our stay so special!

The staff at this pub/hotel are exceptionally friendly and helpful. We met non-resident friends for dinner and it was excellent, we all enjoyed our meals. Breakfast was also very good, with plenty of it. The bedroom was spacious and the bed very comfortable. There is a good TV. The bathroom was huge and we had a lovely walk-in shower. There is aircon in the room (room 7), which for a pub is pretty unusual and very welcome.

There were no problems at all. The road is a little busy but it was not an issue for us.
