My husband and I were attending a big birthday celebration in Baldock, Days Inn was super convenient in regards to location. It was also surprisingly quiet as it is based in a service station. There was a healthy eating option as M&S is next door, so that was another upside to us.

As we were going to an event at 1pm, we had hoped we could change at the hotel, but check-in is at 15.00 and if you pay £ 10 you can check in at 1pm, but they would not let us check in at 12.30 so that was a bit annoying. Pre arrival, I think I received around 8 e-mails about check-in and pre payment, it can be a bit stressful if you have a lot on and have to check messages.

Hotel is basic, more for overnight stays than vacations but with that in mind it was really good. I particularly liked that reception was stocked with snacks, wine and beer and the food court next door was really convenient for breakfast. Staff were lovely and friendly, place was clean and pretty quiet given the busy location. Not as cheap as a Travel Lodge and rooms are similar but facilities, including petrol and charging stations on site, make it worth the extra cost. Also extremely easy to find.

Happy with everything. Fit the purpose of our stay perfectly.

Perfectly situated for our stay. We were greeted by friendly and attentive staff. Very clean and tidy reception. Very clean room. Fab shower, lots of room to move and a seat with is really helpful. Hair and body wash in the shower and hand soap in the separate hand wash area. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Duvet was the perfect weight. Tea and coffee making facilities neatly hidden in a drawer, great idea! Hair dryer in a drawer. TV works perfectly and enough channels for what we needed. The services is right next door that has a great choice of food and drink outlets. There are options in reception for nibbles, drinks and I saw a sign for pizza! I’d definitely recommend if you need somewhere to stay in the area. This our second stay and have already booked for stays in 2025.

Nothing really not to like. It is what it is, somewhere to sleep and relax on a budget.

The bed was so comfortable The place was clean Hairdryer in place I like that the shops were conveniently nearby I loved the sliding mirror door closet ❤️

There were no charging points by the bed, so you have to go charge by the tv not veey convenient. I would have liked if there was an iron just to straighten the clothes afyer unpacking and get them ready to wear, but tother than that it was ok. The headlights were not working I know transport is not your responsibility but they take time to arrive to the area i wish there was more than 2 options of transport and its so hard to get uber which is cheaper.

ALL 3 RECEPTION ASIAN STAFF MEMEBERS WERE AMAZINF. ALSO THE JANIOTRS AS WELL. ALL STAFF WERE AMAZING. THE 3 ASAIN RECPTIONISNTS (A FEMALE AND 2 MALES) WERE AMAZING. THEY EVEN DEALT WITH A SEVERELY DISABLED PERSON (WHO REALLY NEEDS A CARER) BRILLIANTLY. THEY DID A AMAZING JOB. SO I THINK A BONUS IN ORDER FOR ALL YOUR STAFF.

THE WINDOWS WERE DAMAGED. THEY ALL NEED FIXING. THE CARPET NEEDS RENEWING.

I booked this accommodation to break up a long journey with a one year old. Given the price we paid I expected a very basic stay, however I was very impressed with what we received. The room was very large, when the travel cot provided (v comfy) was up, we still had room to spread out our suitcases! Blackout curtains were also very good. The staff at reception were very friendly and helpful and the room was clean. Car parking was easy and there were several options to eat at the adjoining services.

I would have preferred to have the sink in the bathroom, not the room but that's not a reason not to book!

I have stayed here many times and the place is always maintained to the same high standard. The staff are always friendly and welcoming

Air conditioning would be a great bonus. Also, some rooms back on to the back of the service area which can be a bit noisy at night with service staff disposing of their rubbish in the bins.

The room was ok and the staff were decent & polite. The facilities around 'Days Inn' were very good. There are plenty of places to get food, etc. Plus, the car parking was an advantage for us. Overall, we enjoyed our overnight stay. Thank you.

There was no soap in the dispenser, plus the hair dryer was missing. We weren't told about the missing hair dryer. Therefore, we reported it to reception staff, mainly because we didn't want to be accused of stealing it. We also found the bed to be 'very high'...would have preferred a normal bed, that wasn't difficult to get in and out of.

Room was very clean and had everything needed for an overnight stay. Room had AC and heating and extra fan in the cupboard, big and comfy bed, hot shower (power of the shower was the only let down) and towels provided. Would have been good to have a bath mat as floor is tiled. Other than that - would stay again and happy with overall service, cleanliness and room facilities.

Main areas of the property are quite dated such as reception/ communal areas but still clean and tidy.

we have stayed there before and were pleased to return. the room was clean and comfy the fan helping to take some of the heat away. the staff excellent very helpful and friendly.

my bedside light flicked off and then on ,finally giving up.it was reported at the time but nothing happened .
