The history and original features of this hotel are superb. The hotel has a really nice feel and was super cosy. The man on reception that greeted us on our arrival was really kind and very informative

The staff in the dining room were not very attentive and therefore we decided to withdraw the service charge allocated. They had also ran out of certain items on the menu without informing us when we seated (waited till placing the order) and we were not advised at breakfast that we could order eggs. Only when I asked the server at the self service if the had any more egg options she told me our waiter should have mentioned that we could order various eggs not just have scrambled.

My recent stay at Hanbury Manor was nothing short of excellent. The stay was made exceptional especially by the staff, each who strived to fulfil every question or request and truly made our experience wonderful. I would like to mention Chris, the bartender in the bar, he was so warm and friendly and an excellent welcome to our stay, my only negative was that he then went on holiday! Also to Lorenzo who drove us around the entire estate and gave us a tour! The staff truly make everything so wonderful. The grounds are stunning with excellent views and the room was incredibly clean. We didn't have a view as we needed to be located on the ground floor but that is no fault of the hotels! The pool and changing facilities were also perfect, and going for a late night swim was one of the best experiences. If you are going, I recommend getting the breakfast, there are so many options and great value for money, also the roast dinner! We will definitely be back, thank you to everyone who made our experience so great I wish I could remember all your names!

My only complaint was that the windows in the room didn't open and the room was quite warm, I find it hard to sleep with any noise so the provided fan couldn't be used as it was too loud. Other than that it was perfect!

Friendly staff in all areas of the hotel. Cheerful and informative check in. Really lovely spa with an amazing facial treatment - yes there are kids in the pool as mentioned on previous reviews, but if it bothers you, swim during adult only hours! Dinner at the Cast Iron restaurant was delicious - plentiful portions and high quality food. Breakfast buffet was varied with plenty of healthy options as well as your standard English breakfast. All in all, a relaxing retreat in the countryside which was desperately needed and left my partner and I wanting to return as soon as we left.

There were alot of flies in the restaurant, understandable given it’s summer and they had windows open but they need some kind of fly deterrent set up.

The staff were at all times welcoming, helpful, professional and obliging and they all seemed enthusiastic about their work. The setting of Hanbury Manor is superb and the facilities excellent. The food is also of a high standard. The Deluxe Bedroom was more than satisfactory and was heated to a very acceptable temperature for winter. The beds were very comfortable too. The pool and spa facilities were excellent. The buildings (inside and out) are beautiful, as are the garden areas with their wonderful trees. The hotel and country club with its multiple functions has a lively atmosphere.

Perhaps a pamphlet or even a more detailed brochure could have been made available for those interested in what must be the fascinating history of the hotel in its earlier incarnations.

We are a couple from London. And we didn't want to travel far, but at the same time we wanted to get a nice manor hotel. It was our anniversary celebration. And the hotel was so nice to sign a card for us, and we were treated with champagne in a room. The room was large, and the bed was cozy and comfortable. The breakfast is really, really good. I have a lot of food restrictions, and I was able to find everything to have a good breakfast. The territory is huge, spacious and very well maintained. Great for nice walks.

Everything was ok

Beautiful grounds Hotel was nice and cozy . We had dinner at the iron Grill and Staffware lovely. We were upgraded room to a bigger room I think and it was my partners birthday and they were kind enough to leave a complementary drink with a handwritten birthday card and chocolates which was a nice touch. Overall spent a lovely weekend . Breakfast was also really good with a really big selection of buffet and they also made eggs to order. Overall would stay again

Not really a dislike but did not know that there would be £100 deposit on checking in which was not really an issue because it was sent back just to note for anyone staying

Restaurant staff were amazing, I believe it to be the manager particularly professional too, he served us in Vardons. I had a problem with my salad and the way he resolved it was extremely quickly and professionally & made my opinion feel valid and important.

I arrived at the spa and the lady serving couldn’t manage a hello let alone a smile , Just shown the code for the bathroom/changing room. Understandable we all have these days at work but this also happened on the Sunday morning too with the same lady . I don’t think all of the spa staff are following suit to the rest of the staff at the hotel. Politeness should be a minimum.

Lovely swimming pool! Beautiful hotel and grounds. So child friendly. Staff exceptional... Rohan at breakfast has an eagle eye and manages everything so effortlessly and makes everyone feel like they're the most important guest there. You're not rushed like at some hotel breakfasts. Candice (or was it calice) was always so friendly and efficient. Cleaning staff... Everyone really... Lovely. Forgot the name is the ladies who served us dinner and the dinner manager but they were all lovely too

Not much choice for kids lunch and dinner. Just one kids menus with only three mains. When you're having lunch and dinner and staying three nights, can get boring

Lovely location - quiet with established trees; good links for road travel. Family room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Good to have proper bed rather than a sofa bed for the family member sharing the room. Breakfast good quality and dinner good too. We would stay again. Parking- disabled parking- was key for us which the hotel was well able to accommodate. Refreshing not to be charged extra to park which we find irritating.

Amazing pool and surroundings. Gorgeous room. Friendly and lovely staff.... Shout out to: Rohan at breakfast... His usual, attentive, helpful, efficient self, zara on reception for making it so special for my daughter, oliver at dinner for being very friendly and funny as he served, all the girls on reception (plus the male receptionist who very kindly came to our room to remove a beetle lol!) we will be back!

Not enough choice on the kids menu for dinner... Would be good if they also did the food that vardons did.
