Good location for our trip

The soundproofing - there were thin walls and a door between our room and the one next door. We had booked an accessible room since one of us has trouble with stairs. There was a note in the room warning about the potential for noise next door and to request another room if one was available. This suggests it’s an ongoing problem. We were not sure if another accessible room existed, so we decided to stay and noise was not an issue until our last night when the people staying next door came back late at night, waking us up and were loud and we were very embarrassed having to listen to them for about an hour! If we needed to stay here again I would check if there was another accessible room before booking.

The rooms were perfect! An amazing find!! We were allocated rooms in the annexe, and the room were the Charlton, Ramsey and two others. Each room has a small kitchenette with microwave, hob and fridge freezer (absolute bonus). An on suite shower and toilet. With a small range of crockery, glassware and cutlery (no pans for the hob), an electric kettle with a range of hot drinks. It was clean and airy, with openable windows over looking the park, but equally very quiet. It had good air conditioning, lighting and plugs located in the right places (so often not the case) and by the bed. There's a good amount of storage cupbords, luggage racks, ironing board and iron with mirrors in the appropriate place. Free carparking and a swimming pool too. Friday to Sunday there are no meals available, but there is a pub and parade of shops within a 5 -10 min walk. There's Pappa John's, a fish and chip shop, a CO-Op and more. All were very easy to find a meal which we brought back and heated in the microwave! We sat outside at the back of the hotel in the lovely, peaceful gardens with our meals in the evening and had a lovely time. I'd arranged breakfast for Sunday. On arrival I asked if we could have it promptly at 8am as we needed to be away by 8:15/8:30. The team were ready and waiting with a warm welcome, and the breakfast choices both hot and cold were excellent.

It took some time for the hot water to come through in all of the showers on Sunday morning, but it did come through in the end.

Very friendly, helpful reception staff, personally showed us to our suite offering to carry our luggage. Immaculately clean building, suite had everything you could want. Fridge, sink, microwave, TV, desk, chairs, wardrobe, bedside tables with lamps. Comfortable double bed, plenty of clean, fluffy towels, eco friendly body/hair wash. Very good breakfast (paid extra) cereal, fruit, fruit juice, continental and English breakfast, (eggs cooked to order) good choice if hot drinks from machine. Good location for visiting the area (Battle Proms concert at Hatfield Park) and other attractions. Hotel located in a residential area so a few pubs within walking distance. Plenty of free off road parking.

Other areas of the hotel are occupied by asylum seekers, although seem to be housed in different areas away from paying hotel guests. Although we did not encounter any problems the situation felt rather intimidating due to the presence of young men smoking around the outside of the building. I personally would not feel comfortable staying here if I was travelling alone, (just my opinion!)

Well, the location was quiet and gave a somewhat idyllic view of the landscape.

The rooms for 140GBP a night definitely need improvement in terms of space and amenities. The studio setup for the price does not help much there. Please create more space. Also, what needs a definite change is the breakfast schedule. Please extend it to 10am. I swung by around 9.10/15 am only to hear (somewhat bluntly I may say) that breakfast was over. Need to see some change of attitude there. You don't pay 140 gbp per night to go to school at breakfast time. Hope you get the point.

We enjoyed our studio room very much, with it's lovely view of the park, very comfortable bed (I had a back injury at the time) and the useful kitchenette. We also liked the private entrance from the car park and the nice garden.

Only a little grip, the outside had some green plastic coverings to mimic the look of plants growing up the building. I know it is expensive and hard to maintain plants sometimes, but as someone who loves flowers and nature, it would be great to see some real climbers.

From arrival to departure, everything exceeded expectations. The.Hotel was very well presented, the suite was excellent - spacious, well appointed and very clean. Bed was comfortable and the room perfectly heated for the cold night outside. Each member of staff was pleasant, warm and executed their job with professionalism and efficiency. I would both recommend and vist again.

booked in emergency after flight cancelled at midnight after long delay. Met by a excellent chap called Stefan. Only stayed a few hours before having to return to airport. But room was great, got some well needed sleep. Stefan was helpful with taxis and getting a very much needed coffee at 6:30 am. After returning home I discovered I needed info from the hotel so I could claim from the airline. Sent a message via Booking.Com and got a reply very quickly from the hotel reception team, who then got the information needed to me via email. This was very helpful and saved me a lot of additional stress.

The room size was very very home like. Almost excessive. Very well kept rooms with all of your mid range hotel features, but presented and organised, and delivered to a rather high standard. The staff were also welcoming and made sure I was taken great care of. Rooms were quite easily accessible, and the executive rooms are well beyond expectation, and at such a valuable price point. The location wasn't inherently bad, just more suited to local amenities rather than a last minute booking from my cancelled flight. Even at that, the staff made sure I was kept safe and well!

The location isn't that close to larger amenities. However, that isn't saying much if you plan to stay in nearby Stevenage!

The room was very clean and nicely furnished. The bathroom was very smart and clean Excellent breakfast. Bed comfortable. What more do you need?

Two members of staff were talking/arguing between one and two in the morning . Not sure where they were as my window was open because of the heat but I could have done without it.

Good location. Staff were friendly and willing to be flexible (e.g with an early check-in ). The rooms had small kitchenettes - we did not make use this time, but would be useful for so.eone on a work trip. Executive suites are away from the main hotel, they are quiet and well equipped. Good parking.

The bedrooms could use some modernisation - for example more electric sockets and ones near the bed would have been useful. Handy to have a kitchenette but the supply of utensils and crockery was poor. We struggled to access the WiFi.
