Our stay here was actually very good. The check in and checking out process was extremely easy and the lady on reception was polite and efficient. Plenty of noise isolation and generally didn’t hear much from outside of our room despite the entire hotel being booked up this weekend due to Slam Dunk Festival, etc. The bed was comfy and we managed to get a great night sleep. The room was immaculate cleanliness wise too. I could not get over how big the room was either with plenty of space to roam around. Finally, the location is within a short drive away of everything we required, so generally I couldn’t complain. Had a lovely stay, so thank you.

The room is quite dated and needs a little bit of modernisation and TLC.

I didn’t like that you had to ask for toast, and by that only 1 slice was brought out each, rather than two. By the time you got it, your breakfast was either all gone or cold, the last two eggs looked they’d been out since 6:30 we ate at 8:40, and waited a while for them to be replaced, and the fact that you had to ask for tea, again I’d rather self service, plus just having two sugars on your saucer is presumptuous, there should be sugar on the table, as well as preferably self service on toast and tea, or the staff should be made more available and more on the ball keeping check the hot plate is not run low or put, but when they are resourced making tea & toast it’s possibly going to run too low.

The staff were lovely, especially the lady at reception she was so friendly. The breakfast was nice and there was plenty to choose from. The dining area was very clean. The location was easy to access by taxi as we came by train and the staff had numbers ready for taxis. We had a really lovely stay and the room was big and comfortable. The friendly reception staff really made our stay though, it’s nice to be greeted by smiles and down to earth people.

I didn’t have any dislikes as our whole experience at the hotel was brilliant.

The food was excellent. Lovely evening meal, great bar staff. Breakfast was plentiful, well presented and very tasty. WiFi in room was excellent and very fast. Excellent shower.

General decor in hallways was very tired and in sore need of freshening up. Stair carpet needs replacing desperately. It's very stained and off putting. I had a double room booked. My double bed wasn't actually a double bed but two single beds pushed together. This created an uncomfortable middle half, forcing me to keep to one side. That being said, once I got to sleep, I slept very well.

The lady who checked me in was lovely as was the lady working on the bar. I requested a single piece of fruit as room service in the morning and they brought me a fruit bowls worth which was a nice surprise and the entire place was very clean.

There was a gentleman working who assisted me with getting a hairdryer and was speedy in doing so however when I asked he seemed put off by me speaking to him. This happened later on at the bar when I ordered something and he looked at me as tho I was crazy. Also the room I was in was right by one of the doors into the main hotel which slammed all night and the bed was incredibly squeaky

we got an upgrade for our rooms but i requested my rooms to be near each other but one was on ground whilst the other was on 1st floor. it was clean we only stayed for a night so not much to say. Free parking which is brilliant and the location was good too.

Not all the rooms have an iron, went to reception to get one for one and they gave me one which wasn’t working and didn’t have a spare. No bags in the bins provided

Very well located for anyone travelling by road, really convenient. Staff absolutely lovely; breakfast staff in particular could not do enough to help and were even accommodating people well after breakfast had ended which I was extremely impressed with.

If your room faces the road then you can hear road noise, which although obvious, it’s worth noting if you are a light sleeper. Obviously this is absolutely no fault of the hotel! Once the refurb is finished, I have no doubt that this hotel will be fantastic!

Room was clean and comfortable,. Breakfast was good Staff were helpful and friendly I have stayed here before. The hotel appears a little worn and slightly dates, but this should not put people off. I quiet like the appearance, I find it more welcoming than hotels which can be too fancy.

The menu for an evening meal was boring, with a limited choice. However, the lasagne I chose was tasty and will cooked. Although, the hotel has no control over this, Satnav, directions took me to a different location.

the room was filthy . rug was dirty and stained due to water leaks. found condoms under a chair, my bedding had stains. breakfast wasn’t great after paying £15 told they had no sausages. room keycards kept losing the programming so had to visit the desk repeatedly for reprogramming.

Calm atmosphere and friendly staff

Sadly very close to the M25 so constant traffic noise. The bathroom light and fan couldn't be switched off so activated every time you went in - disturbing at night. Ground floor and windows locked open with very little gap and no air con - admittedly we were there for one of the hottest nights in a few years.
