The staff were friendly and showed us to the room. The room was clear and tidy with a double bed, wardrobe, table chairs and ensuite toilet and shower. There was tea, coffee and biscuits. The hotel warned us they had a party going on until midnight and also let us check in early and leave the car in the car park.

We had to use the fire escape to access the corridor to the room. The owner(?) explained to us this was because the were refurbing the other rooms near the normal entrance.

The staff are happy to help and friendly. The food is tasty. The bathrooms are great - I would say pretty newly refurbished, the bedding is laundered. There are kettles/cups etc in the room and there are miniature toiletries in the bathroom. The bedrooms have a portable fan and bedside lamps, heating in the winter. There is also a notepad and pen on the bedside table and an armchair next to the window. After check-in you are free to come and go as you please without needing staff to let you back in.

The food is a little over priced for what is received. The bedding and bathroom towels are freshly laundered but well worn. Bedding is light in colour - just a personal preference - I like hotel bedding to be white. No breakfast available but there are shops within a few minutes walk that all sell breakfast items.

The room was very comfortable and I got a great night's sleep. The food served in the bar was exceptional - Indian street food and curries amongst the best I have ever had. The bar had a great selection of beers and wines, the staff were very friendly and it was a great place just to relax for an evening.

I cannot fault anything.

What could I say, if you like indian food this is the place. I have never tasted anything like it, superb. The room was small but ok for just 2 nights, clean and comfortable. As for the staff, well you couldn't ask for better. Nice people. I would definitely go there again on my own, my wife is disabled and as far as I know there's no disabled access to the rooms.

The location was very convenient for an overnight stay. Good car-parking availability. We were impressed by the friendly, very helpful staff. It was great that we were able to enjoy a meal downstairs in the restaurant (excellent Indian food) before going upstairs to bed. The room was very clean, comfortable and well-equipped. As the accommodation is above the pub we accepted that it might be noisy - but it was actually very quiet.

We would stay again but would advise others . Access for us was via fire stairs. Ok for daughter and partner a bit more challenging for my husband and I There looks like ground floor accomodation may be available as some work being done in nearby area of lproperty. Would advise improve quality towels and bed linen

Clean, quite comfortable, safe and quiet. Although right next to Beer Garden it was quiet by around 9pm.

Renovation going on and I had to access my room using the exterior fire (stairs) which I wasn't able to do easily.

room was a good size and very comfortable the bathroom was amazing.. the only thing i would state is there was only 1 towel for 2 people but i am sure if we'd have asked they would've given us more. staff were super friendly and helpful.

We stayed here for a wedding which was in the local area, the room was really good value, clean and tidy There was very little traffic, we both slept well. The room had everything you would need and the added bonus of biscuits. It is just a shame that we never got the chance to taste your food as it smelt AMAZING. Every time we went to the car park it was so tempting! The staff were friendly and very helpful.

Booking.com suggested this alternative to a booking cancelled by a chain hotel at short notice. A modern community pub with South Asian restaurant offering street food to banquet level. Friendly atmosphere and pleasant service. Excellent access from A1(M). Used as a base to meet family in central London

Rooms are accessed by an external staircase, so accommodation is separate from the pub and quiet. However, this would not be ideal for someone with limited mobility.
