We stayed for one night as part of a 2 day weekend fishing on the lake nearby. The place has a really nice vibe to it. The room was clean, spacious, and smelled amazing. The bed was comfortable - (on the harder side). We had breakfast included - it's not all you can eat, but they have several options to choose from and they are decent. We had lunch and dinner as well. All the food was amazing.

In our room we had a shower with a hand showerhead and one top shower head. The tap wasn't working properly. the "swich" was just turning around and we couldn't make the top head stop pouring water. Other than that everything was fine.

Room was spacious & clean, with en suite bathroom (shower and toilet, basin), which was clean.. You are provided with two bath towels and two hand towels, and one foot towel. Shower body wash, shampoo and skin cleanser are provided in the shower. The room is spacious and has a large TV (approx 40"ish). For this double room, there is a comfortable chair to sit on, next to the bed, and a small table with a wooden chair. There is also an open hanger. Tea / coffee, milk etc for a hot drink. Kettle rests on the small table. Bed is comfortable and clean. At breakfast, there is a selection of Tea / coffee / juice. Sue will take your order and is accommodating to your needs. A breakfast menu is provided. Nice music plays in the background. Breakfast is from 7am.

I stayed in room 1 on this occasion. It's at the end of the corridor. Fair amount of space to relax, with TV, side table, with Kettle, Coffee, tea and ginger biscuits. Open wardrobe and clean bathroom with shampoo and body wash available. You get two large towels and two hand towels and a foot towel for stepping out of the shower. You have two shower heads, one directly above you and another which can be removed from the holder. Simple and basic but very comfortable and relaxing. On the side table you have all the information you need to get you started. Dinner: had 8oz Sirloin steak, with side salad and fries, with Ginger Beer. Reasonably priced and very well cooked and presented. Staff were very pleasant, from bar staff to table service. Always with a smile. Last service is 9pm. Breakfast: Morning breakfast starts at 7am, with coffee, tea, and juices available - this is a help yourself service. You are greeted by Sue who is pleasant and attentive to refreshing the coffee and also very pleasant to chat too. On this occasion I had Eggs Benedict, which was cooked very well and is very tasty. Breakfast can be included in the price of the room. Overall a very pleasant stay at a very homely and welcoming location - with friendly staff and good food.

For room 1 the pull cord in the bathroom for the light could do with replacing. Switch to change which shower head you want the water to come from does not work.

The room was clean, comfortable with nice decor and clean modern en suite bathroom with a great powerful shower. My partner found the bed a bit hard but it was perfect for me. The staff were helpful. The food in the restaurant was great quality, and a great selection for cooked breakfast in the morning.

Our room was very warm, we were given small fans but these weren't very effective and the window didn't open very far so we couldn't get any air flow. The plumbing was a bit loud and clunky but this may be expected in an old building.

A nice sized clean room, comfortable bed and a kettle for the early morning cuppa! Bathroom clean with good shower. Location was great for what we were doing and food was available all day in the resturant. Meals were good, the veggetarian Sunday roast excellent. Dog friendly - althought we'd not travelled with ours this time.

We booked (and paid for) bed and breakfast but this limited us to just one choise off the Brunch menu without incurring extra costs. There was no breakfast cereal on offer or 'toast and marmalade'. A tea-pot would have saved the continual return to the hot water urn - if the resturant had been busy this would have made for a very unrelaxed breakfast. A shame because the quality of the food was excellent. Bed-room was too hot for us and after the pub had closed it got very noisy on the Saturday night.

The property was in a good location, close to the motorway. The room was clean and beautifully presented. Large comfy bed and pillows, so we had a comfortable sleep each night. The window overlooked the garden/car park, there was no noise disturbance during our stay. The room included a dressing table, tea making facilities, an iron and clothes rail etc. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. The bathroom was spacious and modern and there was. a selection of free products to make use of during our stay. There is a lovely cosy bar that offered a selection of food and you can choose to have this in your room. The bar was always busy with a good atmosphere and although we didn’t eat here (we were out a lot) the food looked and smelt amazing! The staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Location was excellent, food and range of drinks were excellent at a reasonable price. Nice freindly atmosphere with a good mixture of locals and visitors. Staff couldn't do enough to help at anytime. Easy fast check out if you need it!

Size of the bathroom, very small and forever knocking elbows and stuff over. Rooms can be very noisy if your neighbour decided to play the tv loud (as ours did!)

This is an excellent place to eat and stay. The food was superb, the ambience was excellent and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. We would certainly recommend staying here.

Our room was facing the beer garden, as the weather was good we experienced more noise than we would have liked. However, this can be expected from this type of accommodation so we can't really complain.

Staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was really clean, a comfortable bed and good bathroom. Great security. Quiet location. I really enjoyed my stay and would return. I stayed for lunch and the food was delicious. 9 out of 10.

The shower cubicle was a tad small (but I was in a single room). Plumbing was a bit noisy at night if someone next door flushed their loo, but these aren't really reasons not to stay.

A cute little hotel with a nice pub. Everyhing is most loveably! Good food (had the lasagna in the evening and a cooked breakfast in the morning).

My room was very cold as one of the windows could not be closed. The towel heater did not work. The waiters weren't too alert. We had to wait ages to order food and had to go to the bar to order another drink (we asked the waiter before, she said she'd come to take a order in a moment but forgot us), the same in the morning.
